If Quests are going to be mainly text based you should definitely use your book writing skills and go a little Lonewolf style... Dialog is to simple and unrewarding at the moment. I think the Sovereign [Skill/Stat or Special Ability] should allow how many Champions you can have. Also larger Armys should require a Champion or a Created Command Unit. Sovereigns being your Flagship should always lead the largest Armys. Champions should have a skill/stat that allows them to also lead an Army. Created Captains, Commanders, Generals, ect should also have a "Pack" to Lead an Army. I think the most you should be able to send out is a Company or

I completely agree. I would like to see a living breathing Kingdom/Empire not just be a Legomaniac. You could do a lot with roads also. On my roads Id like to see citizens walking back and forth, maybe once in awhile see some bandits chasing them and your patrol then chasing the bandits. That could even be a research option "Road Patrols"
I haven't tried building near a forest, can you? Anyway if not inside a forest maybe on the edge of the forest on the outside would be a Old Growth Forests. I agree it would make a little more sense if Old Growth Forests grew near or on forests.
How about before you can use a resource you need to clear them out of all monsters. Also what about Larger forms of resources such as Small, Reg, Large, Huge.
