Although this is very early, I do have a few suggestions so far: 1.) On the map in the UI somehow put in a 'go to next city' button, to scroll easily through your cities. 2.) Please put in a way to upgrade buildings already built when new technology comes available. ie, turning a hovel into a house, a house into a mansion, etc. 3.) Be sure to put in a way to destroy buildings. 4.) Enable players to raze enemy cities. 5.) When finding gold in a goody spo

Instead of clogging the board with all the bugs I've found so far each getting their individual threads, I'm going to make one thread. Probably per day played. I'll do the same with suggestions and so on too. Unique Bugs so far: 1.) When building a palace, if you do not deselect the building type, you can build multiple palaces in one city. 2.) After defeating an enemy sovereign with another of his troops on screen, the sovereign wi
Correction. I guess I pre-ordered in January--that's when I registered on the forums and I did them on the same day.

I don't care if it "won't be fun". What will be fun to me is watching the game develop from the bare bones on up, and seeing what ideas people come up with to improve the game. Of course, I'm weird too: I LIKE finding bugs and beta testing things. I'd rather it be a long involved process so that the game itself runs smoothly, and I would be damn proud to be a part of that. ...and yes. I'm checking my email. Almost hourly. Just in case.
What pigeonpigeon said. The whole point of the authorization is that when they use the charge, they use the funds appropriated by the authorization first. A lot of places will use the 1.00 method, because companies can FORCE the charge for over the amount as long as they get a small authorization first. It's... well, it's a very dubious business practice and I'm not sure if it's legal because it can often bump people up over their limit.
What happened is that Stardock asked for an "authorization". This is to validate the credit card, to make sure the funds are in there. If the card is not charged within a set number of days--this can be from 3 business days to up to two weeks or more--then the authorization is released. A very few banks do not clear authorizations for over a month. In order to clear the authorization, you will have to talk to your bank, or talk to the credit card company. Some will clear authorizations when r
OMGOMGOMGOMGOMG. September 22nd isn't that far, and it'll probably be out before then. While I realize this is going to be "work", it's going to be work that I love. I have to second some questions though: 1.) If you preordered early and didn't receive verification, do we need to preorder again? 2.) Will it just show up on Impulse or do we have to do something special (like send in a verification code, see above)? 3.) How long will the the "window" be
Quoting leeboy26, reply 6 Nice, but I prefer my spiders a little less on the bulbous side. Games never get the aspect of primal fear of spiders right. Wolf spiders make better models, imo. Wolf spiders are definitely scarier than garden spiders. And these look like garden spiders.
Let's not joke around about wolf spiders. We have some here the
Awesome video. But beta next month? They want to make me cry, dont they? :( The graphics look freaking sweet though.
TODAY. :( Please?
I had to get up this god awful early for work anyway, so I am going to start early with the "When do we get beta?" questions. :)
1.) Master of Orion 3. Urgh. 2.) Spore. Double Urgh. 3.) Champions Online. *sigh* The last two I bought on the advice of a friend of mine. I need to stop listening to that friend. XD
This is a pretty sensitive issue for nearly everyone, and this may not be the best place to discuss it. :) I'd rather be asking Island Dog when the beta is coming now that it's the 4th, instead of about health care. :P
What, we have like a week left, right? Something like that? Can't believe it's almost here... :D
The thing about Master of Magic (and I still play it to this day) is that each wizard felt different. They had different strengths, weaknesses, and traits, yet each one is viable to win. About balance... balance is nice in games, but balance shouldn't automatically mean the same thing on every side. Diversity is definitely the key to replayability in a game. If you can make each game "feel" different, while technically it's the same (like MoM), then you've got a winner.
Honestly, I cannot wait for this game. I was rather hoping I could be distracted with other games, but instead I find myself coming back here again and again. It's nice to know about the dynasties. That adds a depth to diplomacy I hadn't even hoped for. If we can set our own rules of succession, that would be awesome.
Yes! In some ways, I've been waiting since 1993 for this. I'm terribly excited! My boyfriend keeps laughing at me when I mutter to myself how much I want to play this game NOW, DARN IT, NOW.
