I think the solution here is pretty simple. Someone gift ddd888 a copy of Elemental:War of Magic. It's got modability and multiplayer.
the only reason when you do some poll 90% of ppl dont care about online part is that pro gamers are not even here reading the poll knowing how things go
Guess you're not a pro gamer then, zing! Seriously though, multiplayer is being "planned on" for a later expansion. Turn based strategy games don't lend themselves well to mass online play where people stop caring about the
Wasn't Direct2Drive the service where they would only let you install a game a couple of times anyways? I think I bought SotS:Born of Blood from them and when I realized they'd only let me install it a couple times I never bought anything else from them.

I don't know what you guys are saying. Windows 3.1 was awesome and everything since then has sucked. [e digicons]:-"[/e]
I thought this was a foregone conclusion? Every other Windows OS since 98 has been terrible (ME, Vista, supposedly 8). I just hope they support 7 as long as XP so I can skip right next to the good OS.
Yep, I enjoy Civ 5 as much as Civ 4. Fall from Heaven was awesome, and I still play it every once in a while, but Civ 5 'has the newness and still fun' vibe where FFH has the 'classic, still fun but not as much as I've had in the past' vibe. Also agree with you on Heroes V. The "gaming community" hated way too much on that game (and well, every HoMM game since 3) when every game since has had interesting mechanics and addictive gameplay. I always have to laug

EA's specialty is exploiting stuff and the Star Wars franchise is one of the most exploitable things in the galaxy.
Spent $100 more 3 years ago to build my own and it's still better value than that thing. Only thing that computer has on my tower is the smallish form factor and slightly better video card.
I thought I saw a quote in a recent Time magazine from George Lucas that went something like (paraphrasing), "Why would I make any more Star Wars movies if all I get is people saying, 'You suck' and other negative comments?" *Edit* Whoops, someone already posted it. Anyways, it's a sad day.

I disagree as well, I love being able to plan out a grand strategy through tech research. I do think right now that it's a hassle because the gameplay does not mesh/isn't balanced with the tech tree very well. After 150 turns I'm just learning how to ride horses and form groups of units despite having a 6-adventurer level 18 mega kill everything fellowship and have pretty much won the game 100 turns ago. I didn't need anything from the tech tree to even help me win (probably t
It's like meeting someone from 2000 years ago and telling them the earth isn't flat. Doesn't matter what you say, they'll just keep saying the earth is flat and that's a fact. Only until you take them up in a spaceship and show them the earth is round will they actually believe it. In this case I don't think there's anything anyone can type that will make any difference... we just have a thread with "Earth is flat! Earth is flat! You're wrong, the earth is flat

I'm running 64-bit Win 7 with 8GB of ram and get crashes every 15-30 mins or so. Not a memory issue I don't think though, task manager says that FE only gets up to around 1.2GB of ram before I crash. Usually it's when I click on the end turn button, so maybe something with the autosave. The files have been submitted, hope it helps.

This game is pretty tight so far... I keep getting CTD's after every 30 mins or so doing seemingly random things, but it sure is fun! The graphics are also way smoother than WOM, it feels like an engine/game meant for video cards today. The atmosphere feels great. There are a few UI, graphical glitches and grammar errors, but those have been pointed out already. Once these ctd's get worked out, this game is going to suck in a lot of hours of people's lives...
