Presently all current releases and betas can be downloaded from your account page at https://store.stardock.com/myaccount You'll just have to compare version numbers for now. A new update client is in the works.
I want to point out that the quoted statement above by Wizard1956 is not entirely correct. One category of items cannot be downloaded... I am using WindowBlinds 7.0 (build 228 - Windows 7 Edition) - 64 bit OS. The installed skins are beautiful! Still want some more, so I attempted to install some from the collection stored on my harddisk. Not one would install. Every wba file I tried came back with a message saying the file contained no uis file. I am certain they do have a uis file and the files all successfully installed in previous versions of WB. What am I missiing here? Is

Throughout the WKS7 beta, I have had little luck in gettting a downloaded skin with no previously "skin defined system font" to dedfne such a font. Over the three last refeshes, they alternately fixed, broke, and refixed the bug. I hope I haven't haranged them too much over the bug. Sincerely, from the bottom of my heart, thank you!

Actually, I'm rather looking forward to Tweak Win8. It sounds like it'll beat XP's TweakUI hands down, and I did so love that program! Ahhh... the memories![e digicons]O:)[/e] BY the way, in which categories will Rightclick and ThemeManager fit?

I agree that making skins for WB4 will eventually have to come to an end, preferably sooner rather than later. What happens two years from now when MS releases Windows8 ? Will skinnners have to make skins for four different OS's? I think not. However, I do see (possibly a desperate) need for skins that WB7 users can use right away, and I think that the fastest way to do that is to update the best of the older skins. Since those skins a

What I had in mind was your suggestion to "backup and archive" before the transition. But I really don't know if the information I have is current now and whether that would be worth my while. I haven't been able to track down the old posts to reread them. I have heard recently that you it may soon be posssible to download to a disk, take the disk to another computer, and install from that, but whether that applies in my situation I don't know, or even

Just a thought... I know many skinnners are champing at the bit to have a chance at making skins for this immensely useful app, but I rather like it the way it is, but would like it even better if you just had a check box that says "skin like a standard window" that matches the currently selected WB. That way, I don't have to bother finding a Fences skin to go with every skin in my inventory. Those who still want to skin it still can if they want to. Edit: The reason I suggest this is that I

I will be upgrading from WindowsXP to Window7 in October. I have a number of concerns about a smooth transition when it comes to installing Stardock Products. As many of you may know, an upgrade from Xp to W7 means a complete refomat and reinstall of all programs. I am inteminably stuck in a backwater of the internet age and must use a 56k dialup. From what I have read in some former postings, the archives I create on my xp machine will not d

To the Skinning Community, I'm not a skinner, so feel free to take what I say with a grain of salt, but I do have a viewpoint that represents at least one enthusiastic user of Wincustomize's library of skins. Among the skins I have in my possession are DogmaX and SouLuna, two skins that are virtually legendary in the skinning community. I always seem to turn back to these two skins when I get tired of the glitz and glamour of today's skins. I will sorely miss them when I upgrade to Windows

I found a really cool wallpaper in a screenshot posted here at wincustomize. Only problem is, I can't find a source to acquire it. Sure would like it wihout the print, too, but I'll take it any way I can get it. Anyone seen it availalbe for download anywhere? If you want to see what I'm referring to you can see it here: https://www.wincustomize.com/zoom.aspx?skinid=4201&libid=13<

I have too have noted that when you install WB7, it also installs a WB6 icon or entry as well. It doesn't seem to affect the way the program functions on my machine, ecept if I happen to use the system tray icon to open WB. Then it pops up a copy of the beta1 interface instead of the beta2. Don't forget that we're working with a beta! If something can go wrong, it will!

I hear that there are at least some Vista skins that are compatible on Windows7. Those of you who run across them, please post here for all to try! Thanks. Clair Edit: Sorry for the major blooper everyone! My intention for this thread was Vista skins that will run on Windows 7. I have edited the title to to match. Do you think I should just start a new thread?

Except when I click on the .iptheme file, an error message pops up and says there are no icons in the theme file. It's right of course, because alll the icons are in the .icl file associated with it. If I click on the .icl file, it opens the icon developer program, which I have no clue how to use. I don't thinnk this is an Iconpakager 5 bug because I have tried opening these files before under earlier verions of the program and got similar results.

I have been running across a number of icon files in the icons gallery that I have no clue how to handle. Unlike the files formatted with the ".ip" extension, these icon files come in two parts... one with ".icl" and the other with ".iptheme" extensions. How do I go about converting them to the current ".ip" format so I can apply them using Icon Packager 5? idigweeds

When I mouseover the Search Docklet in the default Zoomer in Object Dock, I get an error warning saying "Search Docklet Load failed. Please check your installation." I'm not sure if that means to check my installation of Windows XP, Object Dock, the docklet installation, Windows Desktop Search, or the indexing service that comes with windows itself. Anyway, I checked to make sure that the indexing service was running, (it was), so I assumed maybe it meant Windows De

Howdy all, I'm not a skinner... I just tweak skins that (other more artistic and patient people than I) have posted on Wincustomize for download. Currently, I'm attempting to reduce the hieght of the toolwindow title bar and it's acompanying font to the size of the regular windows in the XP version of the Ares skin by Mike Bryant. Both items are twice the height of a standard window titlebar as it appears on my desktop. When I dig into Skinstudio 6 t

mickeko, Sorry if I got your dander up. I left out some important information that you likely couldn't have known about but that Shirley surely would have (pun intended) ;-) On or around March 27th, Stardock released two Impulse updates. I'm not positive what changes they made, but I didn't remember seeing the extra categories for the My Colors themes, so I assumed that those changes composed the "upcoming versions of Impulse" Shirley referred to. Now that I th

Thanks. I'll give that a try! Edit: I gave it a try, and I am immmensely pleased to find all of my Object Desktop items listed properly! That only solved half the prolbem however. I would have thought that I would find all of my My Colors themes listed under the "My Colors" category, but besides those listed there, I also find one each listed under "No Category" (Think Green), "Holiday" (Halloween) and "Inspired" (Encpounter). Curiously,

The filter categories are hard coded, so there was reallly nothing to do but select from among a precreated list of items. I created a tab for each of the possible categoreis of desktop enhancement software. But the list of software I mentioned did not apppear in any of the categories, though it's clear that they should have been listed under the Object Desktop category. I am happy to hear there will be an update on that feature.
