Nope. I would of course side with the Aliens for the proposed "dictator of earth" post they've promised me.
You wish! YOUR sort will be the first against the wall! [e digicons]:cylon:[/e]

Oh my god you guys! That's so adorable!!! :D Ha ha ha, wow.. what a nice forum :D
Ha ha, that confused the hell out of me .. seeing Bluestalker's avatar I briefly thought I'd written a meaty well considered post and then drunk too much to remember it! :D
Wooooo that looks great :D It really does look like all the individual elements have their heft to them and interact together as solid objects should :D I can imagine with a thousand such units it will look absolutely awesome! I'm really enjoying the process of watching the development of this game come along bit by bit, it's really addictive! I just want more more more :D
why is Boba Fett carrying an axe and riding your strange earthy elemental?
Because he's badass?! Well done Landi that's an amazing picture of a thingy! This thread is great :D
Well yeah... obviously I'd be more that interested in hearing about all the magically goodness! My only slight retience in signing up is that, I dunno.. doesn't it go without saying that we'd love any bit of information that the devs are willing to grant us? I would assume they'll give us info whenever they're darn well good and ready regardless of our pleadings :) Having said that if they really are interested in ideas being suggested on the forums then this would indeed be a good pl
Awwwww don't be mad, I actually always look forward to your posts they're compelling and unique! It's just peculiar and bizarre to read english by someone who has aquired such an impressively extensive vocabulary prior to having mastered basic word order :)
...yeah, see passing one would mean that you were indistinguishable from a human, so I agree, you probably wouldn't :)
Does anyone else suspect that FlyGuy7 is one of SD's new fangled AI programmes? I mean his posts read like they've been created by a random number generator plucking words from the lexicological ether! I'm genuinely not sure he would pass a Turing test [e digicons]:cylon:[/e] FlyGuy7, if you are reading this, and you do have real human emotions, please don't take this as a personal attack.. I just haven't ever encountered someone who communicates in such a perculiar way before [e di

They haven't switched over directly 1 for 1 to the pound so the change has simplified matters for UK customers a lot : "As many of you guys have pointed out in the comments section, Steam now also has a European pricing feature in BETA at the moment which, after the recent exchange rate shenanigans, stops Steam being a total rip off in the UK. To enable it, just click on the red text that read
I'm not trying to ruin your fun by any means but unless you impose some rules and limits there would be nothing stopping me from pressing IWIN button #31. If you made a rule against it I could just invent then press button #32. That "twisted" version of thermodynamics can be as simple as having a mana bar on the game interface.
"Wait, wait, guys! If we follow the rules, it's still fun and it means something! Guys, rules are good! Rules help control the fun!" [e
Yeah I totally agree with you keith, if people can't see what's wrong with that picture then...errrr, I guess there's no real scope for debate. I'm generally totally in favour with the art style the game is going for but this just happens to be a bit of a weak example... man I hope the guy/girl who drew it doesn't read this... on second thought it's great, good for you :D
Oooow these look great! I wonder if these are models for the map view or the tactical view?.. if indeed there's any difference (which I assume there will be from the screenshots to date). I am also very much in favour of the stylized art direction :)
https://forums.elementalgame.com/333023 This forum desperately need negative Karma.
For this thread which came first?! Don't be mean! Not his fault noone noticed it! :p
There IS worthy depth in such a system. The biggest benefit is that it would stop players from smashing thier enemies capital city with a uber stack ala MoM. The only defence to such tactics was to garrison your own city and the surounding tiles with 9 other uber stacks. Secondly what you compose you army of will become very important. Scout and commando type troops can operate independantly for a long time which makes them perfect for scouting and attacking literally behind enemy line
Yay! Fun with words!... also,....... BEAR!!!
Yay! Bananas!!! B-A-N-A-N-A-S!! [e digicons][/e]
Absolutely amazing thread everyone who's contributed! I've just belatedly read it and I'm just blown away by the scope and completeness of the thinking through that has occurred :). I too would like to give my vote for the agreed upon Blind/Focused/Specific tech research model as it seems like a really elegant and sophisticated way of solving the various problems people have with more conventional systems. There'll always of course be some people who are hardliners one way or the othe

Which pretty much means I'm out. Since I only can be bothered to post something when I'm angry.
Well it's a good thing there's no negative karma then ;) .. You can't even take given karma back! So angry away!
I don't like being penalized for taking somebody else's territory. If a channeler falls and leaves behind lots of juicy cities, it would be cool to see its neighbors descend on it like me when I see chocolate. Conquering cities should be less magic-intensive than settling them from scratch, especially because you will already pay a price in combat losses.
I agree with this, otherwise you're really biasing against any attempt at conquest at all. In an extreme example you
It's an ineresting idea and it does seem more realistic than the usual model where every population base is founded by state sponsored settlers. It goes without saying that it would have to be implemented well to not end up being massively irritating in practice.. but if it was done competently then I think it could work. Part of me worries that I'd find it kinda inhibiting to have potential city placements denied to me.. but then in actuality that's happening anyway due to random map creatio
Ooooow how exciting :D
Yay! Welcome onboard the Elemental train! Next stop Beta Town! :D
