1. Yes 2. You marry off Offspring by researching Dynasties in the Diplomacy Tree and then talking to another faction. There you have the option of selecting possible matches. The married couple will then randomly join you or the AI.

These people have been asked repeatedly to just post a debug, yet they haven`t. If they paid attention at all they would know how responsive Stardock is to issues like this, yet they can`t be bothered to do the slightest constructive thing. I understand that Stardock tries to help everybody but you cannot please everyone. They are obviously just trolls. Don`t Feed the Trolls.

Yes there are 3 ways to speed up construction. They each give a 25% boost. These are for Kingdom I don`t know about empire. 1. The 4th level enchanment Magical Hammers. 2. The Construction Yard building. You need to research Construction which comes after Production. 3. The Guild Hall building which comes from the Guilds tech. They all aren`t that hard to get if aim for them. I find them very useful and they are an important part of my win in 250 turns str
Dude, Brad, you're bad at your own game! No offense, but OMG. I'm only going to do this because you are writing the AI, otherwise I would never be this critical of someone else's game. It's goddamn rude, I wouldn't like it and I don't like giving it. But feedback is what you need, and you made a lot of errors. Errors in the tactical battle: YOU MOVED FIRST. Don't. Reposition your troops so that the high de
This is my last OT post. No responses will come for anything written about it! Immigration is absolutely a net good, period full stop. It's pretty much win win win all the way to the bank. Low skill, high skill, no skill doesn't matter. That said, if the welcoming society isn't, well, welcoming, it ends up in the situation France and Germany are in -- tons of jobless, poorly educated and irate immigrants. America might not be coping
Plus in the game span, inmigration is the only (according to Frogboy, which I find not believable at all but it's one of those compromises in the game) source of Population, so actually there is no need to worry about kids.
Hmmm. Apparently the only exception is yourself? You have kids and grandkids all the time. Anyway it's a good point so I will reevaluate my position and say that on top of allowing female soldiers Egalitarianism should give a boost to maximum special

In simple terms, given two equivalent economies where, ceteris paribus, one has no females in the labor market, the society with women as active participants in the labor market will economically dominate. Again in simple terms, given two economies where, ceteris paribus, one has a fluctuating dependency ratio and one of which has a stable drat, the stable drat economy will dominate. So make the Egalitarian society 50%
But, pop growth reduction is actually beneficial in most societies so long as they're making the replacement rate -- which they don't need to do so long as they encourage immigration *COUGH* I'm looking at you Germany, stop with the haterade *COUGH*. Lower pop growth means fewer dependents per wage earner, meaning more resources available per dependent. Countries that have an incredibly high number of workers per dependent are experiencing something called a demographic dividend -- wh

As Wintersong said it's really depends on the society. It's a matter of long term vs short term goals and whatever stupid prejudices said society has. Ignoring prejudices if you allow allow/force women into the army then ya you will be better able to defend yourselves, but at the same time you are exposing them to harm and thus the resultant drop in birth rate could potentially make you weaker in the long run. Also there is a large difference between teaching people to defend themselves and m
Applying any sort of specific penalties or bonuses to all societies of a particular gender bias is not something that the game has the latitude to do. It makes a social and historic statement that by its very nature is unfounded. I could almost see a simple 'integrated workforce' thing but what about caste-based societies, which just happen to have castes also divided along gender lines? I'm talking about a situation in which not every gender is c

I agree that as is Egalitarianism should be free. It doesn't do anything but visual changes. However when it comes to making it default.... Even in modern times no country on this planet is Egalitarian in the sense used here. See many armed forces that are 50% female? I think not. Even taking a different and less strict definition of Egalitarianism, 95% of countries on Earth don't have significant amounts of females in militaries let alone combat roles. Besides contrary to some

So I did the quest "Sarog's Egg", and got Sarog himself. First of all he has 31 hp. 31! He has 54 attack so I'm pretty sure this is an oversight. Also he can cast spells. I know there was a beta bug where upon the change in magic systems all creatures that had mana could cast as if they were channelers. I'm thinking this is that bug and they forgot about poor old Sarog when they fixed it. Not that I mind having him cast magic, I think it makes sense but I'm pretty sure its a bug none the less

I had this problem. Some experimenting helped me solve it. 1. It's now a lvl3 building. 2. Try building buildings closer to the beach, it seems you need to be closer to the beach now.

The recruiting tech on the tech spawns higher level heroes. Thus you sorta can replace them. While they may not be as tough as the one you lost they still are much better then any infantry you could buy. If you lose infantry you lose the cost of their items and their levels as well. None of my suggestions would have directly nerfed heroes anyway. I like the tougher heroes too. I think it's pretty reasonable that the elementium items should cost elementium. As it stands you don't need

Heroes: -No Train time -Require nothing but gold to buy and upgrade -Can upgrade -Levels up all stats not just hp -Can become channelers -Have special abilities Units: -Can be purchased in groups to make them tougher. -Can be built anywhere and you don't have to find them Thus you can see heroes are better then units in every single possible way except that units are easier to mass an

Ya, now instead of just single tough units the leveling up bonus can spawn mobs of weak units. Usually better to get gold or tech bonus though.
Taking the above further: if there is a gold mine nearby, let me build a Bank which increases incoming taxes. A Royal Mint which increases revenue from trade. If I have fertile lands nearby, let me build Irrigation to increase the production of that farm. A Windmill to increase food as well. Crystal foundries?
These exist. Look in the Civ tech tree.

4 Replies 6,873 Views

Yes this is a problem. At the very least the elementium items actually need to cost at least one elementium. Magic items should cost crystal as well. @Sir_Linque: Both Bazaars and Marketplaces already exist. Although Bazaars are basically never built becasue they are level 5 buildings that give a boost to gold.

5. I agree. It's not like there is an abundance of magic tech compared to say combat. Who doesn't get them all now anyway? 6. Other civs are always telling me to get off my land, why can't I do the same to them? Why can't I intimidate the other civ to give me some money? I think they auto move off your land, if not it's a bug. You can sorta. Just offer them a treaty and demand gold in return. IF they accept you have successfully intimidated them.

2 Replies 2,052 Views

Im pretty sure that it's not a bug. You just end up with the same tac battle AI as the enemy, and as you can see from any combat it's retarded. All it ever does is rush head in. All your troops including your ranged ones and channelers rush in. With bad luck you stop right in front of of your enemies front line and they get first strike next turn.... So ya don't auto calc any fight that is anywhere near close. What I do is let the enemy move twice so that they stop righ
