The point where it prompted me to post the note was late in the game (I won on Quest), when I had researched hero levels up, quest and notable levels up, etc. My Charisma had even been increased at least twice from books. (And it did not start out bad.) If there is a reason, I would suggest to the devs that there be some sort of feedback indicating the problem, rather than a click with no effect. Thanks, Joel
I can understand that some champions (heroes) are so expensive I can not afford them. the talk dialog comes up with a red mark on it. However, sometimes, there are champions that appear to be quite hireable. I get the nice "talk" cursor. I ahve my Sovereign right next to them. But when I right click on them, nothing happens. I have checked that they are independent. Any suggestions? Thanks, Joel
One of the things that gets repeatedly difficult is when I manage to get a quest, I often can not tell where the target location is. When I initially get the quest, it usually scrolls the map a bit, and shows me a bit of map. After that, I have to go to the cloth map and try moving my mouse on all the odd looking dots to see if something is the location I am looking for. In this particular case, I got to the tavern, got told "I will tell you the locaiton of the tempe"
The technology tree is ostensibly documented in the Hiergamenon. The version of that in the game is almost impossible to navigate. You have to know the correct name of what you are looking for to have a hope of finding anything. (For example, try without knowing the right starting point to find techs that will improve food production.) The version that is on the web site is significantly more useable. But even that does not answer certain kinds of questions.&
I am playing the game, and it appears I am missing a related point. As the game progress, I get told "go north to do this", or just now "split your forces, send one bunch home and one bunch north". However: 1) I can not seem to get the description back again. How do I find it? 2) How do I tell more precisely where I am supposed to send someone? "Send someone home to build ships" is odd since I can not build ships. Thank you,</
