If cities can be built on water, than making a Pirate faction won't be that hard.<br /
Civ 4 had a mode something like this, but you still controlled your own cities (you were a team for things like diplomacy and victory). Elemental would have to go a similar way, it'd be pretty confusing for two players to share a single sovereign. A "team" where you start off in permanent alliance makes more sense with the game mechanics.
But, I dont see why 2 Sovereigns couldn't govern one faction? E
I miss the "name your forest in your own world" feature that the devs came with months ago and it didnt quite cut it into final release :(
I honestly dont see that much of a problem in tactical battles for MP. It has been done a few times; AoW allowed you to at least watch the fight, which CAN keep you entertained (but the problem with that is, if you and your buddies are not cooperating but playing something deathmatch-like, it is a spoiler of his army). Heroes of Might and Magic V allowed you to skim through your cities and "plan ahead" and you even had a ghost to move about the map while you weren't on your turn. I do

I strongly request to have during sovereign choosing a cool strong voice exclaim CHOOSE YOUR SOVEREIGN in Mortal Kombat style.
I think adjacency bonus for city improvements is important. I would like to have a green-colored tiles when placing buildinds, telling me "Hey, if you place me here, I will give you some extra cookies!". I have a one slight issue with merging four 1 tiled buildings into one 4 tiled. If I recall correctly, we do not want square cities. So, why build improvements in squares? It would also be nice to have ultra-mega big 6 / 8-squared improvements that would dominate a city in bot
I think that Men and Fallen should have different currency, both in name and in value. Tthese two should have like 2:1 ratio to each other. Men would value the Fallen currency less and Fallen would value the Men currency also less in retaliation. It will make trade between these two more difficult. I like "Sovereigns", it is used in Dragon Age but who cares? And I also like the idea of shards being taken into account if we will use a single currency and using this money to convert
1. Master of Magic 2. Dominions 3: The Awakening (very good) 3. Ascendancy 4. X-Com 5. Fall From Heaven II mod for Civ IV 6. Master of Orion II And to add to vieuxchat's post: MoO2's strength was definitely in its customization possibilities - create your own race, create your own units. The "perk" system was great (though it always pained me that I couldnt create a little overpowered one! lol). Oh yeah, and the stellar conventer
http://fomportal.com/ 'Nuff said. The only game that can really call itself an MMO. The king returns.
My favorite is The Witcher by Andrzej Sapkowski, but not sure if you can count that as "epic" ;)
I suppose Wii games are out of question here. MK i stated as one OOQ aswell, and with it Virtua Fighter is too. These are simple fightning games; bash keys until the enemy is dead and try to blow up a combo. Also they are more of 2D experience than 3D. You see, I dont like combat system when you have two keys, bash and block. Nor do I like combat system when you have to use half of your keyboard. Also a system thats totally passive, like in RPGs, when you press "1" on your keyboard, w

The attacks and animations are wonderfully detailed and executed Assassin's Creed is also not a bad game in this regard, though you often can take on a mob of guys. Still, there are interesting attacks and combos, and the animations are generally pretty well done.
Havent played the new Prince of Persia yet, so cannot say much a
Fence with a friend few thousand kilometers away is rather difficult :( But overall yeah, its not bad idea at all...though a computer game of such thing would be neat aswell ;)
Mount and Blade perhaps?
I got the impression from MaB as a simulation of a warlord life ;) You recruit army and such...and the actual fight is simple..your options are to slash, or block, or stab....as far as i recall. Also the animations werent "clean", if you know what I mean.
You see, I keep hearing the fuzz about awesome duels and w/e but I just found out...that I do not know any dueling game. By dueling game I mean actually a game where conflict between two (or 3,4...the smaller number the better though) enemies is emphasized in an actual duel fight. I would prefer this in fantasy setting, having orc barbarians with big axes, elven wizards with fire, ice, lightning and acid spells, archers and such. Preferably in 3D setting and not turn based ? D
Try to turn it around and look at it the other way. One possible option would be just the opposite; rather than expanding, the map would shrink. I imagine this option as some kind of diplomatic aggreement. I will not count with 2 types of maps: "standard" with borders and "civilization" one when one side of map is joined with the one on the opposite side. I presume the standard one, but I dont think this would be a problem in the other one too. Example in standard: We have 2 v

I actually believe in terrain changing by spells. Look at "global mayhem" topic. EDIT: I said is so nicely as if confirming my religion :D

Just as long as it didnt like become commonplace as a strategy, because idk about you but if I was player A and Player B and C are duking out their "Ice Age" war Id get pretty frustrated to have to keep looking at all that snow! And what if I decided to melt some of it and they declared war on me for it! hmmm... I think that that sort of thing would be stupid. So it should def be a very magic (or essence) consum
"Ice Age" spell that slowly turns all terrain to snow and ice. But what would be the point of this spell unless you yourself see benefit from it? I mean I could see maybe convering an enemy nation in ice but you would just have to counteract your own spell to make use of it once you conquered the frozen wasteland. But as for the countering of spells I totally and completely agree!
Yeah its bit of a pro
Heh guys what about the Trojan war ? :D :D It lasted 10 years !!! EDIT: Sure, it was "war" :P
The devs already said "once you have a full warehouse, caravans start popping out and trade with cities" so I think that caravans spawn on demand. So, after a battle, a window would pop up and you just click "resupply army" which fixes up the problem that 200 soldiers came crying to their general that their sword has broke and pops message "ressuply succesful" OR "resupply failed" which can mean that enemies had spears instead of swords. Either way, after ressuplying comes the "what with the
I definately want to see "terrain altering" spellls like in Age of Wonders. "Ice Age" spell that slowly turns all terrain to snow and ice. This time though these spells should be "counterable" as in AoW Ice Age destroyed most players crops (since only few races are able to farm on snow) and their attempts to cast "Rejuvenate" to bring back grasslands were useless and without effect. Truth, darkland was able to get rid of Ice Age, and this darkland then could be healed by rejuvenate, b
