This game looks interesting, but I A) am short on cash, and B) kind of feel like like I should play the two previous entries. Also, my backlog is a little bigger than I'd like to see it, so that should be taken care of a bit.
I can't play WOM more than 5 minutes without shutting it down and switching to AOW:SM
Different strokes for different folks, I guess. Again, I can admit that the AI needs some serious work done to it, but other than that, I really like what it is. It could use a bit more balancing, but that's not the biggest deal to me.
Most of this sounds good, and I like the potential of "every tile matters." But I am a bit bummed to hear that WoM might get pulled. While that may be in the best interest of the company (to prevent confusion), I do see it making it more likely that updates will stop. I mean, perhaps 1.4 solves all the AI problems and a 1.5 polishes it nicely, but I doubt we'll get that lucky. Still, I like hearing that you're giving the team the "make it great" order without focusing
Can you take a step back and honestly say that one can have actual *FUN* while playing WoM?
Maybe this is going to rain on your parade, but I do have fun playing WoM. In fact, I wish I could be playing it now (I had to move my gaming box to my new small business to help save on costs). Yeah, the AI is certainly in need of some work. And I've seen some graphical bugs. And I do wonder
I agree with hearing more about the strategic layer, as I never really got into TBS for the combat. And I really would like to hear more about WoM 1.4- perhaps I'm the only one, but I really like the game (AI issues and some graphical bugs aside). I played for nearly 5 hours today and had a damn good time. I just wish the AI generally put up a better fight...though I did manage to have an army or two wiped out by the AI at the same time.
I, and most of the free world, heartily disagree that Clear Sky was better. It took some good ideas from the SoC mods, but isn't nearly as good as the first with some essential mods. Unfortunately there's aren't mods available to bring CS to the level that SoC achieved. Call of Pripyat has me interest for now, and I'm enjoying it immensely. I'm still trying out the different mods, but none of them add enough
I just polished off S.T.A.L.K.E.R Shadow of Chernobyl last night. Man, that game fell off in terms of fun at the end. Clear Sky sort of had the same problem, but I don't care what anyone says- Clear Sky was the better game. I got one of the bad endings because I didn't feel like doing one minor task in an extremely annoying area (Pripyat). [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] I've also been playing a fair amount of Valkyria Chronicles 2. That's an awesome series and wish s
Nice interview. I don't have complete faith in Gamestop, but if Brad's got faith in them, then that does mean something to me.
I'm waiting to see Mass Effect 1 and 2 on sale. I've already beaten the first, but I don't have the game myself, so I'd like to play through it and the second. I'd say $10 is the max I'd pay for those, though (each). I'm already backlogged as it is.
The fact that Oblivion even made the list, let alone into the top 10, makes me question the sanity of PC Gamer. Honestly, if I ever cared much for reviews, I'd definitely never consider PC Gamer as a good source for them now.
Impulse::Reactor doesn't have high profile titles like Modern Warfare 2 or Counter-Strike Source pimping it's features to the mass market. Impulse is basically where Steam would be if Valve didn't shackle Half-Life 2 with it; fighting for ground. The only reason Steam is even has 30,000,000 accounts is because Valve forced a signficant portion of them to make those Accounts. Every Civilisation V owner, every PC Modern Warf

And there are never any shards remotely near me.
I got the early release version and I never had an issue (and I have an ATI card with Win7-64, which makes me more likely to have problems) outside of one crash. The article is completely stupid, but that will be lost on most people. Really, read what the guy said- Elemental's launch is a disaster because HE can't get the game working. Are there others having problems too? Sure, but how many more people are playing the game with little to no major issues? A disaster would be a game th
I've got a gaming desktop and a netbook, and I thought I'd give it a whirl. Just for reference, I have a very, very, very non-gaming laptop. It's a Lenovo S10-3T, with an Intel Atom CPU at 1.66Ghz, 2GB ram, and an Intel GMA 3150. This is definitely nowhere near the top in netbooks, which is already low. Anyway, the game requires 1024x768, so if your native resolution is 1024x600 like mine, you'll have to see if you can do a registry hack. Once I did, the game booted up without

Wait wait wait, if you buy the book, you get an additional campaign? Is it a disc in the hard-copy or would an e-book+ download code be possible? Sorry if this has been answered, but it's the first I've heard of the additional campaign at all. I wouldn't be able to buy the hard copy but I could do an ebook version. But I really probably would be buying it for an additional campaign and less for the book itself, since I don't enjoy reading much.
That's true of Impulse too. There's no way to tell Impulse to install say Sins 1.0.5 unless you made an archived version of that when it was up. Being able to load old versions isn't something I've seen any DD service do yet. (Though I wouldn't be surprised to see someone do it some day and point out that it makes them a more modder-friendly store.) ... This is a good reason to want Reactor to do well, even if you'r

I actually was interested in playing the first one, but I always miss it when it's been on sale. Despite some questionable aiming, I liked the feel. For the upcoming one, I tried out the demo to that and can't say I really liked it at all. Which is too bad, because I live in China and liked some of the authenticity of the city.

If I lost the connection to steam, GFWL or the actual servers, I'd be kicked from the match. That's two too many chances to disconnect, especially when steam decided to start changing servers without announcing it, causing disruptions for a week, and so on. And no, you couldn't "opt out". I also don't like getting popups whenever I start it u
