I hate hate hate hate that I'm now paying full price for what can only be considered a "portion" of the game that was intended originally. I know companies are holding out content from the original releases just to make us pay to get what would be considered the completed game. If you're keeping part of the game out, deduct that portion from the original cost.

I just hope the cacti are flora, not fauna!
CACTUAR!
Who cares they were going to make us buy it three damn times to get the whole game in the first place.. definitely not a buy for me.
I'm going to speak generally instead of elemental specific to these sorts of tasks. I'm going to call them tasks because that's what they always feel like to me. These tasks need to be enjoyable. Don't make me Knock Glass Joe down three times in the fight and then lose by decision.. that's dumb.
Am I the only person who has never liked achievements? I thought they were a dumb idea when they first started appearing. I always felt the goals of a game should be part of the game, not some artificial list of tasks.. Other than the fun kind like in Golden Eye and Smash brothers where they don't really mean anything, they're just statements about how you did.

I'm not entirely sure ifn the devs know themselves! In any case, my understanding is that CTB is a little like chess: one guy from your side moves, then one guy from the other side moves, then you can move another guy, and so on. Isn't that just... regular turn-based combat? I mean, that's exactly like the combat in HoMM V and King's B

I heard they became a base race in 4th Ed, and they're descended from celestials, yet are not bound in any way by the planes. Our task was to make images that 'look like something Aragorn would draw', and we've found it suprisingly hard to make quality assets that look sloppy (the two being obviously contridictory). I think our current pipline will result in some great looking stuff that completely fits right in the world (and scales nicely, to boot)!
