Correction: they would need just as advanced an AI as the major factions. It'd just be different, and admittedly wouldn't have to take into account nearly as much and therefore might be easier to code, but it should be just as sophisticated in what it actually does. It's a technicality, I know, but we don't want to go putting lazy ideas into Brad's head!
You know that's what I meant :P . Pretty sure Brad knows

Sounds awesome. I would indeed have to agree that Stability trumps adding in tactical battles. Though, as tactical battles in themselves are a "new feature" I'm sure they'll introduce a whole bunch of new bugs and stability issues on their own when they are added. Greatly looking forward to things to come. I especially can't wait until the Modding Tools are enabled. Well done Stardock :) @Frogboy: If you're having problems with AI Pioneers try adding this line: Pioneer_AI

You can't just say "Imbued champions should be Sauron-like!" with no consideration for the fact that if you can get a bunch of those into the same army, no limited mundane army can ever kill them and if the other player does

I like it. Makes sense too. Not to mention the much more "Epic" feel some battles would have. That all depends on "Why" their "Unit Caps" are in place though. If it's a hardware/software issue then that might be too many units for the engine to handle at once without slowing down visually. Even to mod this in we'd have to know if unit limitations were hard coded or if they are going to be left open like everything else has. If I had to guess I'd say this is something they will leave o

That sounds really awesome. :) I don't see the logic behind not letting them expand though. Aren't they capable of making Pioneers? Granted, perhaps limit them to only building a new settlement very slowly and only on land that's already been reclaimed magically by a Sovereign. I think you should give them the ability to spread out if they get lucky enough. This way they present a "speed bump" to the player as well and as you say aren't "just fancy goodie huts". They woul
