Hell NO I don't favor an internet "off switch". If the government wants to keep it's networks safe from cyber attacks then let the Government Networks have THEIR OWN "off switch" to cut themselves off from the rest of the internet. If you ask me the only reason the government would want to have an internet off switch would be to keep the people of any given country from reporting what's really going on in that country to the rest of the world. If you control the flow of information/news then
Anything under the Maximum size is for wimps, sorry :P I'd LOVE to see 64bit support so we can get some of those hugely epic map sizes we talked about during development. :)

Edit: Granted, with a few mods, the M2TW AI (well, the tactical one, anyway- definitely NOT the strategic) was good enough to wipe the fields with me, so maybe that wouldn't be as much of a plus as I'd imagined. We shouldn't be laughing though, because the sad fact of the matter is it's too true. Almost all games today are "dumbed down" when compared to the golden gems we played in yesteryear. Most devs these days use words like "stream-lining" or "intuitive" to trick the dumb kids who don't know any better into thinking this is a good thing, when th

Very true and well said, chief. I think the fault here lays in the fact that most app and game makers aren't taking advantage of what the newer machines and hardware can do. Only the newest of programs and apps are even taking advantage of multi-threading and using all the cores available to them. For most casual users the true power of the newest hardware is going to waste, both in terms of normal CPU's and Gfx Processors. That was part of my reasoning for getting the 560 Ti recently and not

Does this mean you've "thrown in the towel" on getting rivers and truly random maps into Elemental? I hope not... :( . Also, I think I have to disagree about the roads. In a ruined, destroyed, burnt out landscape, I would expect to see "pieces" of roads. Maybe parts of roads that were, for the most part, utterly destroyed. However, small parts might remain here and there but unless they were repaired wouldn't really lead to anywhere useful (or they could lead to hidden goodies if yo
