I bought it today for my wife as an early birthday present. She says "I like it a lot". Let me put it this way...we went out and got it at 2 something this afternoon. Since we've gotten home, she's only stopped playing it long enough to eat dinner, and even then, she ate in front of the computer..lol. I've glanced over at it a few times, haven't played it yet, but just from looking at it I will say it does actually look kinda cool for a Sims game. After she falls asleep tonigh
Sadly (for us, not the investors) game development is now a well-run business that puts return on investment first. Why would they spend 1000s of additional man-hours on a game that people are going to buy and be satisfied with (as opposed to in love with) when it doesn't make business sense? You have a definite point here, but there is another side of this picture that many of us seem to neglect during these types of disc

When it's fixing stuff I just hit "next next next" lol. Maybe I should pay better attention next time..heh.
lol my wife's drooling over the game and gets rabid any time I mention it. I already have to get it for her for her birthday next month. It looks kinda fun for what it is I think, but then again, I'm not really hard core into the sims either. I know the intro video has Patrick Stewart doing the voice, so that makes it full of Win if you ask me..lol.
My second post did indicate that I thought there were other bugs (non graphics related) still present some of which do go to gameplay.
Which is very true. There still is the occasional glitch in the battle AI. Luckily I've only seen them act up once on me, but once was enough. The whole enemy army stood around and did a little jig for a good 20 seconds or so at the bottom of a hill, getting rained on by arrows. They cou

Unless you mean the first one. I've seen GalCiv 2 in boxes in stores, as well as the expansions.

DVDs are being replaced by stuff like On Demand and Netflix streaming (which is where Netflix considers the future of their business to be, not in mailing stuff). The cost of pressing and shipping disks just doesn't make sense in a world where we can send stuff across wires in a reasonable time frame at a fraction of the cost. Particularly since you don't have to guess ho
I'd still rather have a solid, physical, DvD I can put on my shelf. I'll take those over Digital Only Downloads any day of the week, period. I have a sad feeling though that the farther we get into the future the more and more solid media will be going the way of the dinosaur as far as PC gaming is concerned, and I can still only help but think that over-all that's a Bad Thing for many reasons. Even now, my family is having such a hard time with bills we're seriously thinking about having our

Allow me to explain. In Shogun 2 you have varying levels of castle design, some with multiple entrance points, but at a slower climb, the walls of most are slanted and climbable. If the enemy army is massive compared to yours, then yes, depending on the castle layout it can just

For the last 4 or 5 hours I've been laying here in bed playing Shogun 2. Holy sh!t this game is Awesome!!! I just can't say that enough. I'm on normal difficulty and from a campaign perspective, I'm just holding my own. I started my campaign as the Shimazu Clan. So far I've managed to take 3 cities while holding off the combined alliance attacks of two of my enemies. That's right, Combined Attacks. Allies actually help each other do battle on a regular occasion. They plan and coordinate strik
