They need to learn to make/release OS's slower. For the last few years of the 90's and early into 2000 it seemed like all MS was doing was putting a new number on the box, adding a couple bugs, and re-releasing last year's OS. The jump between XP and Vista was a total sh!t storm and MS knows it. Hell, when I built this system Win 7 wasn't out yet, Vista had been out for a few years ( and was still a P.O.S. ), and XP was getting old. Still, I picked up a fresh boxed copy
Until they fix it you can try naming the cities such as "Capital1", "Food1", "Arcane1", etc. Not very roleplayish but it helps alot when trying to remember what city does what.
I use a letter and numerical value after the city name, for instance: Ravenloft F1 "Ravenloft" being the cities name, and F1 meaning it has a level 1 food bonus. Preferably though, fixing the issue would be best.
That's a great update chief :). Forgive me if I'm wrong, but, the description above seems to fit in a lot with what was originally planned with Elemental doesn't it? If not what "was planned", then perhaps I should say what "was wanted"? I know we've covered these ideas before, especially city specialization, which I my-self made a post about a long time back. In fact, I'm pretty sure it's in the big Idea's List. :) Yeap, here it is: <span style="f
Here it is, chief :), knew I saw this somewhere.
Please rethink making MP a cut-down version of SP. At the very least, make a co-op mode with all SP functionality, and how about having battles involving more than two sides? What about allies being able to join in battles with their team-mates? It would be fantastic if you could balance well, having 2 players vs 2 players in the one battlefield, for example. And this would fit a lot better with Elemental being

Why not just connect a bunch of low end PCs that are more powerful than the PS3?
You know, that's actually a Really Good Question. You can get a motherboard and processor chip that's far more powerful than a PS3 for less than half the cost. This leads me to believe there must be some kind of "non-obvious" advantage to using the PS3 set-up

Well, so far this season I've seen too many good shows come and go, forever to leave their story-lines hanging at cliff-hangers that will never be resolved. Also, all of us have had to deal with the horrific rash of un-inspired, cookie cutter copies, of crime drama's, medical drama's, teenage sing alongs, and scores and scores of other mediocre shows that never should have been put to film in the first place. It's time we tell the broadcasting mega-corporations that w

The enemy had like 24 units or something (alliance attack! how cool is that). So I know I'm going to lose, and I almost hit the auto-resolve button. I mean, the castle doesn't even have any towers. But I decide to make them bleed for every inch in the motherland. So first the enemy sends in the spearunits and I mean they just
Quoting RavenX, reply 15 Seriously, watch the video I posted above. It's nuts, scary, and brings up the distinct ethical problems we need to be thinking about now as a society. I absolutely agree, RavenX. Using plant/animal products doesn't necessarily mean violating them [another in our infinitely long acts of violence]... sequencing their genes to produce that substance [gecko glue]
This would truly be a great boon to many fields. Sadly, I'll bet it won't be long until the governments of the world start turning this kind of surveillance against it's own people en'mass. Right now, London England is the most heavily watched city in the world, followed by either New York or Paris, not sure which, but one of those two is in second place. Of course this kind of surveillance has it's advantages, like seeing a car accident and knowing who was truly at fault
Thinking more about it, there are some serious Ethical Issues involved here. Especially when they can now take away a creatures free will and control it's brain via computer. Don't believe that? It's true. Watch the end of the video above. They've done it with insects and even a rat. They're calling it a "Robo-Rat" and they're also calling it a "Organic Robot". The experiment they talk about with the monkey controlling a robotic arm is pretty insane. This research is l
I really like this one: 17. Nanoscale Adhesive Gecko feet are covered with nano-size hairs that exploit intermolecular forces, allowing the lizards to stick firmly to surfaces. By replicating this nanoscale topography, MIT scientists have developed an adhesive that can seal wounds or patch a hole caused by a stomach ulcer. The adhesive is elastic, waterproof and made of material that breaks down as the injury heals. Read more: <a style="co
Well, Sims Medieval must be awesome. My wife loves it and hasn't stopped playing it for like 3 days/nights now. Since I got it for her, she's either been working, sleeping, or playing the Sims Medieval while checking her Facebook in the background. While she has played Sims 3 for a long period of time, she often stops and takes a break from it for as much as a couple weeks at a time, then she'll pick it back up and play it for a few days, then stop for a week, then play it for a f
