That only happens because they have gravity mass sensors that will automaticaly pull you out if you get to close to like a planet. If they did not have those sensors or they were overiden, the ship will run into that planet and explode. Now inderectors ships screw around with those sensors so anybody in the area in hyperspace will drop out or they cannot leave. If that was running in the middle of space, and enemy fleet is comm
Orodum
in other words, a Grand Cruiser. (from BFG)
yeah - by wars I did mean wars between those who actually have the capacity to make modern war (no, iraq and afganistan do not count) and the space race was tied to the cold war. I did admit the TEC's manufacturing advantage, as they are the "trade" race, but in general, Vasari ships are more powerful, like you said. besides, you don't need a planet to make breakthroughs in space. and what else are they going to do with all that time in phase? i don't mean the actual e
ummmmm..... the file seems to be a little too big for the database (275 kb or so - the max is 150 kb anyway). I could e-mail it to ya. oh, and by point defense, i mean flak guns. all over the hangars. (well, actually they are lining the edge of the hangar, but close enough) didn't upload the blueprint, but the other part (24.5 kb) i did upload, under the exact name "Battlestar Galactica.shp"
Quoting Orodum, reply 10 hmm... ever hear of Battleships forever? well, when you download it, you get a ship editor (basic, 2d stuff). I was bored and made a Galactica. it will absolutely destroy anything else in the game. 40 rail guns, 20 missile pods, shitload of point defense, and five gatling guns You what!? 40 rail guns? 20 missile pod
ooookaaayyy. well, then again, there's the modesty factor. that's probably why. my two were for helping someone w/ transfering achievements, and one for writing Remnants
a point on static defense - when up against AI, it doesn't matter where in the gravity well you put it, but if you're fleet is there, they will head toward there. my favorite setup is two repairs, one/two hangars, and the rest is tightly packed static turrets with ships interspersed among them.
(notice the 12 karma above^) jkjkjkjk

yep. that is if you are talking about "Replicate forces" ability for the Skirantra Carrier.
it is a greatly reduced cost way to get ships that you don't have to have researched, and its instant. note "reduced" cost, not free.
some nice different music, ships sounds (yes, I know that you can't actually hear the progentor mothership becoming my personal fireworks display in outerspace, but I don't care. I think they already have them, but they are too quiet) and, ooh, maybe squadron radio conversations when you are near a battle!
what the hell is macroshaft? I know Vista is microsoft not macroshaft. you use an ashole? as in the Bigmac? anyway, its not Vista. Galaxy forge was at working for me at the beginning.
we would have to create that from scratch. unless we did put a antimatter usage on it, and they used an antimatter drain, that might work.
Good call. So can't we just give it a phase cloak ability and change the particle effect on that ability? Excuse my ignorance, but what's holding that back? I'm missing something.
people not thinking of it
oh, it just sounds like the link was going to be below it.
just something to tell other people how much others like you (generally based off of helpfulness in a problem or doing something cool)
no, that's why we are asking.
It should matter. Every idiot should be able to see a big red ball hanging around in front of you. There would be a nice way to make this irrelevant - give the mines a cloaking device. They will still be large, but faded away, invisible. I also wonder what Vasari mines would be like. How their hi-tech phasing mastery gets reflected in them.
well, just a thought here, b
I assume that its somewhat like the starwars hyperspace in that gravity wells yank you out of it (hyperspace is a different dimension, like phase space) so that our dimension has some impact on phase/hyperspace and the grav well of the planet it goes thru should yank it out.
Here is Teal's post on it.
I am getting the same on Galaxy Forge
like I mentioned earlier, just give it an altered phase cloaking ability, too
where?
the best way is to just copy and paste it into the address bar of explore (the computer files one, NOT internet explorer) explore is the program that lets you look at your files. what I did was just put the link in a word document and save it. then whenever i need to get into it, i just open the .doc and copy and paste the link into the bar. (don't forget the karma if it helps[e digicons]:pout:[/e] )
