running the replay thru to get there (had a screenshot, but accidentally got rid of it). the line graph of it shows the amount as 0, but when you put your mouse on it, it reads the negative numbers in the info box edit: also noticed something else about this - the numbers don't add up. I tought I had them right above, but I didn't. they are actually my bombers: -9 hundred some; my fighters: 2 hundred some; my total strikcraft: -2000 some.

This is with v1.11, but I just finished a long game (18 hours) against a hard TEC, and when I went thru the endgame stats, it showed me and the Serak Warriors (both Vasari) as having negative bombers. it said I had negative 1000 some and the serak as negative 200 some. this was mirrored in the total strikcraft count as well. I would post the replay, but I don't know the file path to get to it.

Hey, so far I've noticed three problems w/ the forums. 1)I know people have said this before, just not sure if it was here - the search button does absolutely nothing. [fixed] 2) "Fan Submissions" sub-category of "Sins of a Solar Empire" does not show up on the home page like the others. [not yet fixed, same thing with this sub-board] 3)Noticed in thread "Digi*Cons Wars" the spock digicon sometimes glitches and gives this " [e digicons](\B):vulcan:(\B)[/e] " [fixed, I

yeah, just finished a Hyperion's gates against three AIs (two normal - vasari and advent, one hard TEC) and the TEC had about half of the map (other two factions destroyed) and I had the other half. they had been sending fleets across the star, but when I established a beachhead of two-three planets, they just started sending small half-fleets. and they had a very large fleet that kept jumping between two uncolonizables - know this 'cuz I had an extractor in one - and it woul

Fleets allow for much easier use of a group of ships, and also allow them to be more effective in an attack, as they can jump at the same time. Putting ships into a fleet enables them to act as a coordinated whole, instead of however many individual ships. like putting a trained football team on a field against a random group of people who you just tell to "play football". the trained team is going to win unless greatly outnumbered everytime. its just group cohesion.&n

Kostura cannon - it should work with a small change, except it would be fairly easy to make mines completely pointless. after all, in large maps, I usually end up with 7+ cannons and sometimes set them to autocast. but only when there is still a lot of planets to be taken, even tho I'm owning them (usually happens in AI only) and don't need the cannon. maybe if it just disabled the mine's detonator for a while.

it is a new feature as of v1.1 - v1.05 and before have it free Vasari are more mobile, and are more long game based, as when they hit the fleet cap, their fleet will almost always win. They have better abilities (mainly the Evacuator's) they even have mobile phase stabilizers (marauders)

here's another (adding on) idea: shrink the maximum range from planet for mines as a defensive structure. (explain it as needing to be closer to keep it in orbit due to its lesser mass) so that you can place a turret say 1500 from an asteroid or whatever (outer build limit) but you can only place a mine field 900 from an asteroid.

on the Vasari movement thing, I think theirs should be able to move, as pointed out above, only their starbase is anti-starbase. its called balance. it can be done with diferent items balancing each other out. just make it so that the Vasari starbase has a passive ability that doesn't allow other starbases to jump into the well it's in (maybe explain it away as a mass thing, or that starbases have a different kind of phase drive). as the others can't move, it woul

eh-em. Vasari should be the strongest. they are, after all, the warfare race (kinda-they are actually the phase race, but their ships are in general more powerful, tho more expensive). TEC is economy race, advent is culture, so the advent being lowest sounds right, but TEC would not have the highest damage value. the whole "millenia of peace" thing kinda deadens the warfare technology they had, and the Vasari would definitely have mine experience (trying to halt/slow t

still, no matter how many they have, mine are still going to do a shitload of damage. especially when they are all fighters, with maybe 10 (?) bomber squadrons. the Vasari have tougher strikecraft than the other two races, but their squadrons are smaller in size.
