nice. kael, you brought many gamers from ffh to stardock, myself included, we trust you continue what you're doing.

well, i guess in this forum no one cares to do some quick 'code' editing. i care. if i open an editor i see the map. i dont want to see. i want to explore.
its not about what is best... it's about how you want to play it. i played every sovereign style, even governor. but i prefer my first hero being a governor, for building roads - i love to building roads :) if you want you can make your game super easy, take a strong caster with heal and beastmaster etc... sure its fun to play too, but... i prefer making myself a setting, kind of roleplaying, what should the worl
i tried several things but i agree in most terms. kingdom: enchanters is a must have because of scrying pools - this one is really unique, i dont care about the 2 late game staffs - until this point normally i'm dominating anyway, i never had the chance to even build my special mage riders with leeth staff - i rly have do do this one time. i never take a malus, since its not really necessary, but when i do i take -spell resis
well, back to topic: my examples: 1st: maybe you see it - all the red dots in the minimap - the left & middle region is mine - no monsters except the one on the bottom left. its filled with monsters and it doesnt really look like they have their own region, more like they have some cities everywhere with no connection. &
There is the rats and doom club quest that is sort of like that. You can choose the doom club or 100 gildar. More quests that you an option a or b to pick from are not a bad idea
y with quests you can decide, but not with regular 'dungeon loot' - but anyway, its possible to sell that stuff afterwards... but the pick one would be nice, after you get the 3rd time a
The Equipment tool that gives the champion "Maul" does not work for Magic Staffs.. I suspect it also does not work for other ranged combat? I woul like that it would work for ranged combat too. Because else it would be useless for an archer.
rly? maul on ranged doesn't make sense sorry. maul is kinda raging infight action. you damage your opponent and with that damage you gain kinda bloodrage to hit him
heh. its very fun to read your posts. :D +1 karma for you ;)
How to control unrest in huge empires if I like to play XL maps? Is there a repeating research technology that reduces unrest in all empire? E.g. Advanced administration? (I just don't know).
city upgrade prison is a good way. - if you have a big empire you should build more than one prison city upgrade, i dont remember exactly but i think it reduces the unrest by 10 % or reduces the effect of to many citie
I remember having this sort of debate when writing the GalCiv AI. Early on, I had the AI crank out cheap ships that would block players from being able to colonize good planets. It was a smart tactic but really made players angry. So I had it stop doing that. I know there are always hard core players who want the monsters or AI players to play at their most bastardly, but the fact is, most players just get angry. I'd rather work on
hm... ok, i was away for some time (made a break when i heard multiplayer will not be supported). i purchased it now because of the steam sale alert. there is still much to do, and as i see it in the modding section, some of it is done by 'do-it-yourself'. i'm sorry if this is a dead horse, its

i agree, every time i cast the spell where i see the whole map (forgot the name) i see no red dots in my territory (because i love killing monsters) and ZOUNDS of red dots in every enemy region. and not because im in war with anyone, because of all the monsters in their region. its ok that the ai cheats(it would maybe be to weak anyway). but it doesnt look right, it doesn't feel like a world where all the races fight a common enemy. i played e
Hi, i'll keep my question simple: MULTIPLAYER SOON? :D i'll love to play legendary heroes, but i (and my friends) REALLY need multiplayer! until then - we will keep playing FFH2. btw. i know its just a simple matter and we bugfixed it ourselfs - but the last proposed patch with soa exploding instead of pyros would be nice to have it downloade
33, male, austria. think i started with civ and derivates - all the sid meier stuff. loved/still love age of wonders, in general homm series. disciples III best of all - unbeaten still: ffh2 from kael. not fantasy: moo, sins, endless space, imperium galactica, X series ahmm i like sims too :D - loved sim city! :) whatever - i rly like stardock games. <p
Hi, just a thought: whatif the community can help with that multiplayer option? how about including a 'testenviroment-switch' where we can use the buggy multiplayer, and enhance ist ourselfs - or at least test it. i played civ 5 ffh often with friends - and there where times where OOS Errors happend very fast. the solutions varied from no event option or excluding special races (kuriotates) etc. etc. but even
