I never pre-ordered a game before because I dont believe in buying something until I see the final product. But...I finally caved. Based on the repuation of the developer and the information thus far, this will be a truly awesome game

Good post. I was wondering the same thing. It would be nice to get some dev input. Oh and totally agree about the Civ4 comment. Baba Yetu ftw!!! http://forums.civfanatics.com/showthread.php?t=123680

The devs can promise what they're delivering... no doubt in my mind. The problem I see is the aggresive time table. As the OP mentioned, this aims to be a revolutionary game which sounds quite complex from a programming stand point. It's hard to imagine there tenatively releasing the game next year when concepts/features are explained through pen&paper as opposed to screenshots. Don't get me wrong, I'm fine with whatever happens so long as I'm presented with a polished game. I'm just
I am just happy to hear anything from the Frog, but this update was a bit scant on info compared to previous updates. As I said, I am pleased with anything we get.
I agreed w/ Denyru when I saw the original post but if you combine the information that Boogiebac provided, I think this is a damn good update.I'm especially stoked that he shares the idea of a fantasy world having only a handful of cities and then many smaller

I'm not crying that I lost, ok maybe a little bit [e digicons]:annoyed:[/e] I realized I lost fair and square and that in "some ways" the AI was the superior player. I used my Civ4 game as an example only. That was like years and years ago. I'm just trying to say I would like an option where the game bases the winner on more than just "what nation can obtain any victory condition first." I think there is more to being a winner than that. It would be nice to have it an accu

FF is def going to the xbox. They announced it at E3 last year. Being an xbox owner, I'm pretty damn happy.

I remember a game in Civ4 I was playing back in the day. I was ahead in military, economy, culture, space race etc. Then out of nowhere, the UN gets together and votes some schmoe as the Secretary General which means I lost the game. WTF! Had I continued playing, I could have eventually mopped up the entire map. But what would be the point…I already lost. I can’t be too upset bec

A wish spell would truly be awesome! Actually, it would be sweet if you typed in "I want lego" and a lego appeared in your main city.

Exactly. It gives you extra inccentive to kick the crap out of the player that did you wrong. One thing that will suck though is if the world is littered with artifacts. One of my favorite things in MOM is creating artifacts. However, I started becoming a little dissappointed how easy and disposable the artifacts really were. My "Sword of Pimps" wasnt as unique and special as I wanted it to be. The AI is not gonna bend over backwards trying to take that sword from me. (not t

I think it would be kinda cool if a hero dies with an artifact, the opposing side should be able to loot the corpse! Artifacts shouldnt have to die with it's original master. It would be fun trying to reclaim an artifact that I made/found. What do you guys think?

I dont get the reference but googled it. Boston Legal? I take it somethign similiar happened in the show?

What spells do you want to see in the game? You can rip them off from another game or just come up with some unique ones :). I just got done with my first game of MoM (Yes, I know...Im a little behind the times) and I would love it if these spells would make it into the game: (...sorry if I dont have the spell names exactly right) Flying Fortress Water-walking Wall of Stone Create artifact (I know you can do this in the editor but I mean as an

That would be pretty awesome. I'm pretty sure that could happen unless of course the "inside" areas are instanced.

I dont think a weekly update is too much to ask. It doesnt have to be 8 paragraphs of information but it would be nice to hear about more features or see new screenshots. Not only does it satisfy our curiousity it helps drive the forum by giving us new things to talk about. That's my stance on it now anyways. When the beta is is delayed by 2 weeks, I will waffle and start b1tching on how they should have focused more on programming instead of giving
edit: I just realized what I tease this would be for users hungry for more info on the game. I promise to put something of greater significance up in the next week.
Not to be the impatient one of the group...but weren't we promised something this week? [e digicons]:D[/e]

I just started playing MOM and didnt see em in there. Of course, my first game was like 20 minutes because I was overwhelmed... I have to read up the manual. But it makes feel better that MOM had it. GW, thanks for the google tip. That will be a complete time saver!!! :) +1 Karma for you

@ Land....I didnt know they were talking about explorable "inside" areas!!! How cool is that? Just another awesome thing this game is promising us!

Has there been any talk about random mob encounters when your walking around on the map? I'm sure we'll see em in temples/tombs/dungeons (MOM) but I dont recall hearing anything about them being outside. I think it would def help with the immersion factor as long as it wasnt overkill. I apologized if this has been discussed before. But I get a free pass as the searh button isnt working yet :)

My biggest fear: I wake up and realize that Stardock making this game was just a dream! Jk. Seriously though my biggest fear is that AI diplomacy will be broken. But, I have faith :) My biggest hope is this game will be most epic game I've ever played. I love how everything can be customized....unlimited player expansions ftw!
