Nice find Doc.. Is nice to see ideas that can make people with disabilities more independent. Not only do inventions like this help with their physical well being by making it easier to get nutrition, but also their self esteem as now they have one less way they are dependent on others in their daily life.
You raise a very, very crucial point: People who need help
Yes, Mark. You GO! Sobriety (of whatever flavor) is a worthy endeavor. Don't let anyone steal it!
If we lived 100 years ago, we all would cry "magic!' "witchcraft" or its a miracle!" We live in a most amazing time...
I would love to see the tactical system improved... new sovereigns, etc., don't interest me as I can design my own.
Of course it's 2D. In 3D, blockading solar systems is much more problematic
True, even Darth Vader, leading a full force of the empire's might could not prevent ships from 'getting off the (Hoth) system. :)

Having worked in science for over 2 decades, I can say that the number of brilliant scientists (and also the not-so-brilliant ones) who light up regularly is... large... Okay, so that's why I failed chemistry and other science subjects at school
I chose the founders program for two reasons. First, SD did right by us in how Froggy CEO chose to deal with the original Elemental (the game that is not to be named) fiasco. I chose to honor that quality decision by backing SD. Two, knowing GalCiv3 will be a great adventure, the 'lifetime subscription' to all its extensions, DLC, etc. seemed a prudent financial choice. Now, about my suggestions about GalCiv3: I have played the beta from time to
The heart of the problem lies with the legally meditated nature of the "corporation," (in U$a). Legally, it is required to generate, every quarter, the maximum return for the shareholders. That means long term planning, investment, etc. generally take a backseat to this overriding prime directive. As long as this remains so, the tendency will be for corporations to not be upstanding citizens or good neighbors.
Yes, I play the no steam version. Surprised?
I was watching a video documentary about USA national parks. Spooky, eh?
I'm enjoying the galciv3 beta - an support the game by being a founder. Love galciv2. But Distant worlds is the best 4x space game ever, IMHO. DW has very steep learning curve, a few 'bugs' (computer code and AI run species in the game world). DW can be played as a RTS game (which I hate); or as a 'turn based' game ( I love) by adjusting the timer, and pausing when ever you wish. I am excited at the rollout of DW Universe. Hoping its not
Wow, awesome, the PT/OT folks will luv this new item to help folks with with challenges dining! outstanding!
It seems like the title is missing a word. Dungeon of the Endless What?
The "endless" are (were?) a species of vast knowledge, with an empire spanning the galaxy. The 'endless' referred to in these games is that, no long lost, group.
Future Shock, wow, read that during the last mellinium! Interesting read.
Carlin clip is one I revisit often. Excellent. No matter what we do, the environment will continue changing. The real question that matters for our descendents is this: How quickly will we turn the entire planet into a midden and thereby make it unsuitable for their continued existence.
Always examine all "pizza' evidence carefully. A proper study requires the investigator to be very disciplined and implement full longitudinal study protocols. This way, all aspects of the Pizza can be measured over a period of time. My studies have usually result in information on the Pizza in the evening, and then, rarely, some left for the morning assay. Guess I'm not good at following research protocols when the subject is pizza. :)
@ Froggy: "What!!!!! You want to make the AI better at competing with us? Why shame on you, you are such a meanie! What's that? Oh, wait, never mind... I'm sorry, please don't let that new, scary beast anywhere near me. really, I'm sorry... sor... " Sound of loud munching and screams ... silence. {In cyber space, no one can hear you scream}
Quoting davrovana, reply 8Sure diseases could be engineered before, but isn't this the kind of breakthrough that makes , say, a virus that only kills those genetically pre-disposed towards religious extremism, even more attainable? I'd leave religion out of it, simply because that isn't a proven genetic trait. Sure, it's possible. It's also redundant...enough plagues are already stored at Ft. De
Nice pic!
Sad, such genius, this world is lessened by our loss at his demise.
Doesn't matter who was there first. Employee health and safety matter, too. Bottom line, such a business practice is immoral, unethical, egregious, but totally legal. So its permitted. Besides, Ayn Rand would totally approve, so it has the blessings of the 'establishment,' and the true christian politicians. Washington + god = must be right. EDIT: Would I? No. I left the rat race a long time ago. I
I'm not a programmer. Is there a way to entice the AI into leveling fortresses, enchanting them, (with spells that makes troops tougher) and then actually build troops there?
One further advantage of training troops in a fortress is the magic spells that may becast to add power to the troops trained there. AI doesn't do that, as of yet.
