oops, the lightning ring was supposed to say (conditional) next to it. That ring was if your just messing around with AI, or nubs... about your build, its effective, but I like doing something different, people just like to use the same builds that other people use (not really on purpose) I like to try things out and find unconventional ways to whoop some ass.
Perhaps useless is too strong a word for the new Demigod. I had already realized his damage potential the minute I opened his skill tree as I think anyone who played Beta 1 could. However, rook is still stronger because he can actually stun you for 5 seconds and get some hits off. Unclean beast can get about one hit off then you run from him. Movement speed is grossly overrated. You cannot melee attack a fleeing demigod in this game regardless of the difference in your mspeed. Th
cept u only got 5 main itetm slots plus although that works, he is weaker early game, i like the nuke + ms builds, lay out unblockable 1800 dmg plus ooze dmg, and they cant run away
It would be good but at the moment its to buggy and i'd probs wait till beta 2
I agree with Gnats3 mostly, although some of the changes aren't so nice lots of them were because they were necesary(skill trees) some were because of bugs(items) and overall i think they did a good job, the gold is annoying me though, it makes the games shallower and faster paced(in a bad way).
wow, u got to lvl 23, thats a long game. His dmg output can get kinda nuts
I think HorseRadish is trying to say that Beta 1A has been a step back in many ways. In my personal experience it has more bugs and less gameplay. I think less items is a step back because now I feel that the importance of items has drastically decreased. The power they grant has be nerfed across the board for practically every item. It also seems you are given more gold to buy these items that do less for you than before. The addition of a new demigod and map is a good but as man
Need more conditional attacks.. There is no synergy to his attacks except to do the first dps attack and then stun and do the life leach attack. And stacking the IAS's of the passive one and frenzy. :/ Stun+Nuke is too dumb a synergy for me to call a synergy. There shouldn't even be stuns, except for maybe a freeze. Just interrupts, slows, snares, roots, silences in place of stuns. And why does he have such a long tongue wh
if you keep using the orb that gives dmg and mana regen it gives for 50 dmg every time, it stacks infinitely
He is really good at taking out other demigods. His combo of 900 health drain (stuns enemy demigod while doing this skill) followed by his spot (another 900 damage) and a few hits = like 1.9-2.1k damage over a period of about 10 seconds (prob less?)
Agreed, also if you go for the movement speed passive ability and the boots of speed and all father ring he becomes the ultimate hero nuker, he needs a nerf to his movement speed skill and his life drain skill, also if you w
Most ordinary players dont read the manual. The Demigods do need to be more diferentiable for the low level players, especially the rook
Demigod is a great game in its own right and it is fair to compare it to DotA as long as the comparisons are constructive, lots of people seem to be attacking things about demigod just because they are diferent to DotA. It is also not fair to attack anyone trying to compare the two, because although they are tottaly diferent games they are essentialy the only games in this unique genre. As long as the new features that take the place of the DotA features will stay int
It's still a bit of a problem, when you first start playing the game it is hard to figure out which is which
I hope it rocks up soon, beta 1 is gettin borin
I just hope that the new strategic elements are good
New stuff, AWSOME
That inociv post is an awsome idea, props for that. But couldn't that kind of mechanic work in with recpies, with branches joining if you have two items you want to upgrade? I think that would work well, the biggest problem at the moment is that the items in the Beta are to heirarchial, the reason i suggested recipes was because they gave meaning to the lower heirarchy items. Recipes weren't bad for newbies, when i was a newb in dota i was fine with recipes. I agree that bounties need
This is a stupid thread Its a Beta 1, its purposly has no internet, single player and 3 heroes
They don't need much of a dmg buff. Except possibly at low levels. They just need to be fixed to be more useable, maybe be remote or have larger aoe or lowere mana cost or something. Although this doesnt matter because this is the BETA PHASE 1, it isnt meant to be balanced
I had to laugh a little, because those are major freaking nerfs. Getting the base +damage coefficient nerfed from 200%>125% alone is a massive change. Not that I'm saying it might not be needed. Actually your post made me think of something that's kind of interesting... I never have mana problems in this game, and I'm not exactly going for hefty regen items. Mana definitely needs to get worked on in general to be more of a limiting factor.
lol, fair enough
Recipes are a good way of making an item that is useul early game stay useful later on, they are not simply a wat of incerasing the gap between new and old players. Recipes only become a matter of memory at higher levels of play, in low levels of play it is not frowned apon to spend a minute or so deciding ur items. Denying is one thing that would not carry over well any more, it would have been an early decision whether to include denying or not. At the early stages of development if
Demigod is an awsome game so far, it has taken the very basic idea of DotA and built from there upwards. But DotA was a fantastic mod/map and it seems odd to me how determined the devs of Demigod seem to be to try and stay as far away from DotA as they can while keeping the basic idea. Although Demigod is not dota, there are some things that dota did really well that Demigod should take onboard in my opinion. ex. * A non-heirarchial totaly even item sy
Although Demigod is not dota, there are some things that dota did really well that Demigod should take onboard ex. A non-heirarchial tottaly even item system (DotA wasn't tottaly even, but it was a whole load closer than the beta is currently) Larger lanes and the ability to hide well before an attack Recipe's are awsome A larger bounty! Also the 8 Demigod confirmation seems strange to me. Isn't it always nice when everyone is a dif
Rook is good, but not as OP as some of you people seem to think. The main nerfs that i think are needed are minor decrease of dmg on hammer smash Change God Strength to 50/75/100/125% dmg increaase Increase the cooldown on boulder Increase the mana cost of boulder Apart from that he's pretty much fine.
