I have looked through the threads so sorry if its already explained. There's a bar with a double headed arrow on each end under the icons on the bottom of the screen. It's been there for a while and as far as I can make out it doesn't do anything yet. Anyone know what its intended for? steevo
do it
i dont think so Jack if it were a fan mod, there seem to be all sorts of fan mods plaguarising stuff like this.
now that sonds interesting
guys i hope this is the end of this thread. over and out.
I wonder if different weapons types (beam, missile, energy etc), weapons ranges and shield types will play a part in ship combat at some stage? :) ~SDC~
I currently play as pacifict. I therefore rely on being left alone somewhat at least initially. I spend all my starting cash on colony ships and one or two initial planet improvements as they come up- even entering into substantial loans to get a large fleet of colonists (I don't always fill them up as I still need the planets to grow -especially the low pop/low value initial ones). I then pump all my resources for the first few years into research. I never tax if I can help i
i get exactly the same thing "your stardock net account (email) has failed to logon to the Stardock Central servers.....).
I think a true scenario in this context would include some scripted events or at least pre-set configs and a customised set of victory parameters. perhaps if trigger events, and user defined victory conditions come in the summer (I believe the config parameters will be editable anyway) then these scripted scenarios could become a reality?
Louie, people will start to talk LOL
lets wait and see how it plays first eh? :) ~SDC~
i love it ~SDC~
suicide ships - cheap ships packed with explosives that you steer into enemy ships and explode taking em out (or severe damage). :) ~SDC~
alternative is some sort of small scale private investors scheme - a bit like investing a few quid in shares (but not shares perhaps, sort of bonds, could be a very small amount) in your local footy team now that would be interesting ~SDC~
also if a ship is on autopilot and you click on it from the ship list it shoyuld drop out of auto so you can select a new destination - at the moment it just focuses on it, it moves, and tehn teh camera mopves off onto another ship.
In terms of AI aggressiveness I strongly agree. The AI is good enough and the game designed appropriately for the AI to primarily pursue a victory by means other that war. For good and chaotic good races, Arceans, Torians, Altarians, they SHOULD use warfare as a last resort I would suggest yet in the latest builds they have been amongst the first to declare war on me which didn't used to happen. In terms of enjoyment, personally this is reduced when Galactic warfare breaks out
Do you guys know you can press alt-n (or something n) and the map will respawn without restarting? You can do this as many times as you like until you are happy. s
I'm not sure if the cut scene text is clear or not as I can't see it clearly Mark - you gave me a chuckle. thanks.
Mark I totally agree. I font is nice and clear in the cut scenes but its about one or two sizes too small for my eyes anyway,
Sander said - When a race offers you peace when you are at war, it brings up a stripped down version of the diplomacy/barter screen where there's only peace treaty. Your choices are accept or reject. If you accept you still have the same choice, and you can either keep on accepting or (nonsensically) reject to escape that screen. Not good I have seen this as well Cari.
Yea I had this and couldnt break out and remained at war. which i didnt want whilst i am here, 'find' ship seems to have stopped working. Also I had a Up vote not to attack starbases for 3 years however the AI continued to send ships to my starbases but could not attack - so there were swarms of ships round them which was good for me as they weren't doing anything - but not clever by them. s
A few probs encountered in tonights play- # Already reported I get the message 'only research vessels can explore anomolies' - when one of my two research vessel encounters an anomoly. # I reported this one ages ago. If your ship is out of range and you select 'auto combat', when you exit the ship screen you get the 'out of range pop-up' which you have to then click on exit repeatedly (around a dozen times) to get it to close. # I have attached a debug report which sho
