[quote who="alaknebs" reply="7" id="2858873"]you sure you can't customise mouse buttons with logitech drivers? it's a bit rubbish though as not all options are there for each button... eg.. i'm using the revolution mx... there are like 2 buttons on the side next to the thumb.. and i think i set one of those to the middle button, because the button at the top (not the one on the wheel as i never set wheels as middle button)... you can't actually set as middle button. i have that as

I appreciate the assistance but either im being extremely dumb (which is possible) or you dont realise how stuck i am. Firstly I am playing the campaign and dont have access to boats or caravans, I guess this is a tech i dont yet possess? The narrative does suggest I need to await a sea landing but I have played forward many turns send troops to neighbours and explored techs (many of which are inactive at this stage in teh campaign and I dont have options for either - b

Its a little difficult to relay this problem but Im completely baffled in the campaign and cant work out whether its just me being totally befuddled with this rather obtuse campaign/tutorial or whether a raft of mini bugs and freezes has conspired to break my compaign and bring it to a standstill.. I am playing the tutorial/campaign and my Sov and his team have moved north to the wasteland area i reached a point where the game refered to footprints (they are marked on the map) and for

well i have updated drivers. scoured the forums. and reset all of the options in the provided software but i cant get the map to rotate (not scroll - which is fine) with the mouse any combinatin of mouse buttons or kb holds. I have an Anywhere MX mouse from Logitec. Like my mate earlier in the posts Im getting a crick in my neck from taking the quickest option to rotate my view rather than grind my way with the ctrl and direction arrows.

Hi Just bought the game and trying my first steps. One thing is frustrating me that is rotating the world map. I read somewjhere about holding down the scroll wheel but that just sends my map into all kinds of nonesense, I can rotate it with I think its the shift key and arrows but frankly if i could get something to hold teh keys down i could make a cup of tea in teh time it takes to creak around 90 degrees. Why cant I just press something, wiggle the mouse and whip it around as I want it -

Yay! I'm so delighted to grab this game and to read the reviews in teh UK. I beta tested GalCiv1 and what a great game that is. I don't play it anywhere near as much as I shoud do, primarily cos I'm pretty crap at it TBH, but when I read that Sins was under developement as a x4RTS, I must admit I was swceptical that an Indie developer (sorry!) could pull this off and drifted away from teh Stardock forums for a while. Today I picked up PC Zone (UK) and read Richie Shoemaker's re

Well Im almost ashamed to say that the only UK Games Mag I can find that has reviewed GC2 is 'PCZone' (probably slightly bigger circ than PC Gamer over here?) and it gave GC2 60%! When you read what is allegedly a review it sounds even worse. The link to the online version of the review and a few comments back from Gamers can be found here: http://www.pczone.co.uk/

was this not officially implemented as Stardock didn't think there would be a desire for hot seat MP? If not, one has to wonder why it was not delivered as a polished implementation as it does not breat their ideals of compromising the AI - unless they are of course concerned that the AI is balanced and optomised for one human player? I would find that unlikely as the AI is designed to play against multiple opponents and two humans are just two further

I think there is something in the logistics idea perhaps as an option?. The notion that it will just cause a rush down the logistics tree is not quite right as you will need to conduct related research, earn cash, develop pop, build science and research centres and boost economy to afford it. What it would do is put another layer of planet development into expansion which seems realistic to me, and for fans of slow burners I am r

A B or C, this game would make a great BMEM option but ts fine as it is. I dont agree with the arguments that giving a PBEM would mess up the single game - why would it?, keep the excellent AI but allow 2 or more wetwares to play it and spend $1/2mill on the PMEM code, they can afford it now

I did mean a 6800 sorry, and you are right Shalkto, this is the wrong place to post on my topic - sorry to Mormegil. I just read the review, saw the score for 'polish' and my frustrations took over - Dev's feel free to move or delete my posts in this particular thread. My gripes stand however.
