Very good decision imo. Of course, i still want to see MP in FE too. But for now i can live without it. Focus on the Base Game first, get that thing working right first, then once everything is set, you can add MP.

I'm actually happy that this happened to Sony. (Note: i feel sorry for those affected!) However, my account was hacked about 1 year ago, quite a few others were hit at the same time as well. Everyone called Sony Support, and they always just said "The PSN can't be hacked!", yeah right... *bullshit* was all i was thinking... I just shutted down my account, since then i didn't create a new one. So, yeah... i'm glad that some smart hack
And yet half the things you complain about were things the community has been asking to be changed for years. As well as several fo the things you complain about were added as expansions to the various games. (or at least expanded upon in them, like espionage in civ 4 vanilla vs when it was upgraded quite a bit in expac) The only thing I can really agree with that you said is the gameplay feeling casual now, but my feeling on that
Didn't really read all pages here, but i'm really dissappointed with Civ V because of: - the UI, it feels very console-ish - alot less micromanagement is required - happiness is now global - no more cool & stimulating wonder movies (all you see now is just a picture) - no religion - no spionage - you don't have to connect the ressources anymore to your cities - all units can now water, exploring the world is no real challenge. - the tec
Remove teleport completly and instead let the player build portals in their towns later in the game or something.. Or keep teleport and let it only work on build portals in towns. I.e. channeler casts teleport, a window pops up with all cities that have an portal, channeller choses destination, done.
What we are going to do in v1.1 is this: Your sovereign is the powerful Channeler who generates +1 mana per turn. Each time you capture a shard (which in v1.1 willl have 1 seeded near where you start) it will provide +1 mana also as well as amplify certain spells. When you imbue a champion, it costs -1 mana to maintain. When you summon a creature, it will cost -1 mana to maintain. Thus, if you want an army of spell caste
well, this thread is quite old...
Do not count on that the AI will be outstanding in a month or even in this year. It might still get an huge improvement in that timefrime, yes, but Elemental AI in it's current state will still take up about 6 - 12 month development time to get it to an challenging/hard/ridiculous difficult state.
Quoting Himmelweiss, reply 24 It is mainly because english sounds by far better than german. And really, almost every german reviewer adds some personal useless fluff i just do not want to read in a review! Or some try to turn the review into some RPG soloadventure read or storyboard... I just don't get it... I favor any US/english review over any german review, anytime! Ah ok, the engli
Quoting Lantros, reply 18 So...its a typical german review. Isn´t it? Gothic 3 was also good example for an incorrect review. Buying the game after reading such reviews make players angry. Thats something that elemental doesnt deserve. Once again...i´m happy about the demo, so i can say to my friends "Test it and you will see. I´m right." Don't know what you and Himmel
If i was Stardock now, i would just back off of the Forums like any other company does. Just post patch notes and leave the boards until all those haters get bored. Sort/lock/delete useless threads like usual.
Glad you're liking it. Over time, we're going to be adding a lot of cool additional features that we hope you'll really like. Here'a a few examples: 1. The magic system is going to get a lot more interesting in terms of spells and how they work. 2. The quests will get a lot more interesting as players are able to start entering dungeons during quests. 3. The AI is going to get a lot better and m
Quoting Robert Hentschke, reply 6 No mention whatsoever of anything like "bug" or "broken features" - besides the obvious lack of multiplayer. And that combat animations are sloooooow and can not be sped up. They reviewed 1.07 but it really sounds like they were testing the 1.35 version... Effectively an unconditional recommendation. The comments - including those by Elemental fans - sing
Well then, once the python stuff is out, try to get into contact with the Better AI Civ IV mod guy or however it was called :p
Why did you post this embarrassing piece of game journalism? I like GameStar, but their review of Elemental is despicable and ignorant of a lot of issues the game has at the moment. There are even some claims in the final verdict that are downright false.
Total 10000000% agree with this guy. The last page really has some serious flaws/mistakes/failures. Sorry, but i think the reviewer of Gamestar didn't play
Words, always words. Was it relly necessary to race with Chris Taylor to see who's going to release his game first ? I'm fed up with your excuses. Let's face it,this is the second unfinished, unoptimized, buggy game Stardock released since GalCiv II ( previous game was Demigod ). Are you going to abandon this game Mr. Wardell, just like you did with Demigod ? Do you still remember your promises about that game ? I don't think so. [/qu
dudes... No god damn dev team would ever tell you stuff like this. Stardock, i'm very impressed and i'm glad that i bought your game!
A big one to add that I didn't see: (1.06) After saving and re-loading a game where any of your squads have lost members, those lost members are never replaced, i.e. the maximum hitponts of that unit is permanently reduced.
uh yeah, this one should be on the Major list EDIT: okay i was too slow, it's already fixed :p
Well, i will never visit the 1up site again. There are by far better sites on the net to get some serious reviews.
Well, funny indeed, i'm german and i understood everything you wrote in your mail. So i dunno how it's possible that someone who was born with the awesome language english/us has issues with your mail. And if he does (because he was not born with the awesome language english/us or whatever) then he shouldn't work for the support :p
I'm pretty sure that speed is a typo. There is no desktop i7 that runs at 1.6 GHz, and not many laptops run with dual video cards. The problem he's having is most likely the memory leak that affects people with ATI cards. It slows the game down the longer it's running.
nvidia GTX 275 here, and i have the same performance issues
like i said in an earlier reply here... in late game on large map with lots of stuff going on the game will run very very slow, no matter what your hardware specs are. Conclusion: Perfomance needs to be improved greatly. It's not our hardware!
agree, pathfinding is bad
That's not odd at all, in late game on large map with lots of stuff going on the game will run very very slow, no matter what your hardware specs are.
managing 40+ cities is fun, and wow it lags like hell :p even in cloth map view
