You have all the cars for Twisted Metal 2 in your garage. However, in order to make them all fit, the powers in charge of wish-granting have to crush them into foot-wide metal cubes. I iwsh I had never let my self get roped into designing web pages for my mom's dysfunctional charity.
Yeah that'd be nice. Although I'd actually like the ability to switch individual events on and off at game setup, too. That'd be neat and I can't imagine it being particularly difficult to implement.
Well, considering the number of them, you would need to create a special screen just for that..... add a destription and title for eac event to go on that screen.... would make MP an ablsoute NIGHTMARE, except if you voted on each event indididually and the ones that got mor
When you do so, you better hope you know what you're doing.
That's what the alpha and betas are for. Learning what works and getting rid of what doesn't. The finished game will NOT be an unknown quantity.
One of my main issues is that there will be tons of models, maps, whole mods, gameplay mods, etc. that I am wondering how well it will work just comparing them. Perhaps there are some good alternatives.
Well, I thought of a system vaguely similar to the Oscars, where different awards are given for different categories and areas, like: Most technically difficult mod. Most balanced. Best graphics. Largest amount of new st

By what criteria would the mods be judged? Number of downloads? Aestheitcs? Totality of conversion? Technical difficulty? Also, one of the main problems I forsee is that people who have access to expensive graphics and development software will be place at a HUGE advantage over the people who are stuck with freeware.
The large variety of playable races is kind of an important part of it. The uniqueness and vast strategic and tactical diffferences between the races combined with the huge number of combinations of spell books and wizard retorts cannot be understated. From what I've heard (that spell research/tech trees will be fixed to each faction), EWoM is going in a totally different direction.
I think we have a bona fide case of faulty cause and effect here: The argument "MoM was a good g
You do have a point about the terrain types. I'm bias towards a magical equivalent to a nuclear apocalypse and when someone mentions the "Cataclysm" I think big magical explosion that killed and burnt everything. As for the improbability of this system's inclusion in the game I think that largely depends on how complex altering the code would be. I think it wouldn't be adversely difficult to carry over the current shard properties to a respective area of land but then again

Honestly, don't you people ever sleep ? In any event, I am reasonably sure I will get into the alpha, and am actively looking into buying one of those cloud-seeding airplanes....... My biggest questions still have to do with essence: is levelling linear or exponential, can you invest it into objects, what are the finer points of the hero system, and so on. However, I would also like some more info on the metaphysics involved in magic, and explanation of what exactly a "pervert
Since having less essence seems to also give you less mana, what if mana from the shards was accumulated per channeler? If you have a fire shard and one channeler, they get *all* the mana from that shard for themselves (up to what their essence allows). If you have 10 channelers, that mana is split 10 ways. So yes, you have lots of channelers, but none of them have enough fire mana to do anything truly powerful. One channeler hoarding all the essence and mana is alone, but w
It would be neat if the top fan contributers got some sort of in game feature in the final version. Our names listed in default name generators for example. the city of Luckmania, or the Spear of Spartan for example (I believe those are the top in karma rank)
The Scouting Dog: six feet tall at the shoulder, and with teeth to match.
The only problem I see with that is at the start of the game the only mana you would have is either Death, Earth, or Fire because the land is suppose to be post-apocalyptic.
Good point, but that can be dealt with like this: Dead≠Dying: I am assuming that there is some sort of "expiration date" on the death you can use for death magic: gaining enourmous power just because a group of cavemen killed a lot of saber-toothed cats in a spot 9,000 years ago so

I for one would like to get rid of the shards entirely, have the four "classical" manas generated by the terreins you control (i.e. rocky terrein generates earth mana, water generates, well, water , and so on), with life and death being generated as oer DD's most-preferred system with things actually living and dying, regardless of terrein. Might be hard to balance, but I'm sure we could figure out a way eventually. Second to that is a system with life and death still controll
This is getting more offtopic then usual. I don't suppose you can split the "how good was Tolkien" discussion to another thread? Please? [e digicons]:pout:[/e] [e digicons]:meow:[/e]
I concour. This is becoming a bit tedious.
If you have a minimum requirement necessary for imbuing land and such, that doesn't necessarily mean you're starting out with a leader that specializes in life.
Psy, I think you've got life magic confused with essence . That's the stuff required for making cities, and all channelers have it. Life and Death magics are manas that you don't get from shards.
Apparently, Scoutdog's take is more or less his imagination (plus his distaste for making uncertainty clear when he types).
Pretty much. I actually made a post explaining this, butone of those forum glitches ate it......

No, I just sokehow go it in my head that we would have an "affinity" for one of the shard elements, in spell tree if nothing else.
