--- Before I begin there were some technical issues - 1) The “Lower the Tax Rate” panel – your tax rate is already on low, and changing it to ‘none’ has no effect on pioneer training speed that I can tell (maybe I was looking in the wrong place). The picture in the tutorial shows it being normal initially. 2) The game hung one time (permanently) when I tried to move Procipinee to the bottom right forest tile next to where you're supposed to set u

Just to add on here, not sure if the installer will be roughly the same on launch (the .exe installer) but if you don't have enough space to unpack it on C drive it will not let you know beforehand and will simply crash out without finishing with no message. But other than that install was fine for me, aside from long install time which doesn't bug me (I remember installing games from a 2x CD-ROM drive so I'm continually amazed these days when huge things install fas

This order has been queued for processing by customer service. You will receive an email within one business day, at which time you will be charged and your order will be fulfilled. Guess I should have bought through steam :P And it wants me to use that email address to talk through forums :( No wanna lose my precious thousands of karma points. But it looks like I am gonna have to wait longer than today anyway :(

@kodiak On the xcom nexus there is a way (through a mod) to enable marathon mode, but you'll probably not be able to get beyond a certain point (late game) due to needing 2 orb thingies instead of 1.

The biggest things that I read that made me worry about release have mostly been handled in these last 2 vids. This exceeds the expectations of my best case scenario. I plan on buying when the next beta is released (tomorrow) to help final playtesting and to... play.

I figured someone would try to edit that out. [e digicons][/e] The reason I left "also with" is to separate out field surgeons from warriors, so that "who" includes only field surgeons and not both field surgeons and warriors. Otherwise you have to say "the latter of which" which is going the opposite direction of less is more. However, if you want to leave it as warriors and field surgeons both cauterizing wounds, which is fine, what you have there works. <p

10 Replies 9,287 Views

It can't be "popular by" but it can be "popular with": This dagger is popular in battle and with field surgeons, who use its blade to cauterize wounds. But even this does not work because the first clause does not have parallel structure - actually the problem may even be more complicated than that but I already have enough grammar nazi xp to level up again and I'd like to keep from leveling up beyond

10 Replies 9,287 Views

If you are going to post a grammar fix at least post a full grammar fix :P This dagger is popular in battle and is also used by field surgeons, who use its blade to cauterize wounds. Because being popular in battle and being used by field surgeons are not mutually exclusive. +5 grammar nazi xp. I can feel myself leveling up. I will put the points into my obnoxiousness stat. Rolling against my new obnoxiousness stat - success - I can

So the devs here should have spent the last months fixing bugs as they found them in old features that are no longer present in order that they might enter the bugfix beta without bugs to fix? The previous betas were to test major features and general functionality against the wants/needs of the community, rather than making a game nobody wants to play work really well. I agree that I want the game to succeed and it will definitely depend on what

New feature: get rid of hp altogether :D Size, injuries, resists, dodges, veteran or not, etc. can do a good job of emulating battle without going "iron golem has 32 hp! squad of 12 level 5 peasants has 34 hp!" because really, IRL we all know iron golems pwn 12 peasants. I've seen it. You avoid the trap of having peasants kill iron golems w/ wooden clubs because, you know, hp. And you'll have to do just as much balancing, because right now apparently things are all wha

Starcraft II released with broken sound for some people, missions with endings that wouldn't proc, and issues where people had problems accessing some single player features. Have you seen the ending credits for starcraft II? There are like 500 people that worked on the game. Last year it was revealed that 180,000 bugs had been fixed or were in a state of
