I'm just doing one xml today - it's Saturday and I don't really want to tackle any more than this. CoreItems.xml Some near the bottom have a and a that don't match (+3 per shard vs. +4 per shard, etc.). I'm not sure if these particular ones show both, but one or the other must obviously be wrong. p.s. to zigzag or joe, the massive goodie huts has some lines that say: Searching th

Thanks joeball, I went back and removed the titan Curgenon from the world of Elemental :) @zigzag - Thanks for addressing those spaces, when you underline and bold and italicize a space by itself it disappears from the forum. From now on I'll make extra sure to u/b/i the words around the space. As for the serial comma I add for that list of phrases, it doesn't read too well unless it's added there (one of the many reasons to always use it). Everything
I thought I remembered them removing the salt the earth feature for monsters, but the dragon that just destroyed one of my towns definitely destroyed it for good.
Sarog was my Vietnam.
Ha! I've done a few but I'll have to wait til tomorrow morning to apply the rest. As for spacing after periods and inconsistent serial commas, I decided to leave them alone - gotta pick my battles.
Thanks for the karma guys, And thanks joeball, I made all of your changes (I replaced that comma and used dashes later so it wasn't 4 commas in 6 words).
Files covered in this list: CoreMonsterUnitTypes.xml CorePlayerAbilities.xml CoreQuestLocations.xml CoreMounts.xml CoreLetters.xml is without errors! CoreLogos.xml CoreFlavorText.xml The first and last are the largest, the rest are just a few things each. Files left to do: CoreUnits.xml CoreSpells.xml CoreRandomEvents.xml CoreQuests.xml CoreItems.xml</p
After another day of grammar crap my vision is like the matrix, except much more boring: Second and very last sentence of the fallen enchantress screen are fragments, not a big deal really, and the colon in the first paragraph of the Chapter 1 screen should be a semicolon. :P
Thanks zigzag, I've incorporated all of the specific changes in the OP. List of xml files remaining, in reverse alphabetical order for no reason other than I was going through them backward when I made the list: CoreUnits.xml CoreSpells.xml CoreRandomEvents.xml CoreQuests.xml CoreQuestLocations.xml CorePlayerAbilities.xml CoreMounts.xml CoreMonsterUnitTypes.xml CoreLogos.xml CoreLetters.xml Cor
I always like a good Welsh game, that's one of the few ways to come up from nothing, and hasn't changed much from CK1. Next to last time I played CK2 I was trying to unite Spain as Aragon (or whatever) but the religious declare war mechanics broke at some point and Christians wouldn't join my side but all the Muslims would join the enemy so... things didn't work out well. Last time I played the game I was going for a pagan win, which I know is impossible but I
Once again, HERE THERE BE SPOILERS. These changes include a bunch of random stuff. Aside from the design units screen I pretty much went backward alphabetically through the xmls for a while (unittypenames.xml, then treaties.xml, etc., skipping a few larger ones til I got through CoreShards.xml) This includes: UnitTypeNames.xml Treaties.xml HistoricalFigures.xml CoreWorldResources.xml CoreUnitStats.xml CoreShards.xml One i
I went back and changed wildling back to how it was originally - wilding - because there are wilding villages in coreworldresources.xml Wilding is being used here to refer to a race in Elemental - "diminuitive, man-like creatures said to have been created by Curgen in the bowels of N'it'Vaganesh"
The first CK was one of my all-time favorites. I liked the second one but I've been waiting not only for this expansion but for a few patches to go in afterward. Are things stable and balanced or no?
Thanks Frogboy! I went back and added periods wherever there were two sentences in the description. I would suggest adding periods to the end of everything but that's a lot more work, and would go far beyond what I've posted here as far as the amount of entries it would cover.
Thanks, I went back and added the fire fast edit (both edits), and I added a period in the dragon's breath staff description to split it up. I guess the quotations around the fire fast sentence (flaming longbow) can be left off, as if the game is talking to the player, but it would still work as a quote from someone.
Good call, I corrected desert from dessert but missed the caps. I've updated the OP with that and the wildlings (EDIT - apparently there are "wilding villages" in the game so I'm leaving this as wilding) and the one long-lost I missed from zigzag. I wasn't sure what to do with Ignyses - I changed it from Ignys's - I agree it sounds best as Ignys but that's a call for the devs.
Thanks again for your help with this. The two dashes were in place of having sentence fragments, I didn't want to change up the style of the sentences. The quotation mark in the middle of whatever was my bad, I don't know how it happened except that I was adding them around the sentence as it's a quote from someone and I must have let one slip in the middle. I've removed it from the post. I agree with the space thing, there are many places where it look
If you like coming upon weapons and armor you've never seen before, don't read through this list as it spoils quite alot. This set of changes includes armor changes (corearmor.xml) and weapon changes (coreweapons.xml). As usual a few things may be subjective and I'm sure I've missed a thing or two. I would just attach this to the last one but it's a lot of stuff. I made things bold/italic/underlined because that pastes in here from word, but the color red d
This post covers abilities as found in CoreAbilities.xml. I did things by display name unless there were multiple, in which case I went with internal name. Again, this is my stab at things - some of these don't matter much, some do, and I'm sure there's a comma somewhere that could be left out or something. Thanks for working so hard to get prior changes into the game, Derek! ========== Abilities CoreAbilities.xml First of all, let m
In the description of Verga: Many things are said of you: that your own mother called you a monster (no comma) and cast you out... Strength of arms, magic, and will.
You ninja'd me by 2 seconds. :) Technically the first part of Verga is a bit of a mess because the second sentence is a fragment, but that's how it's spoken... anyway, I agree with the colon. NOOOOOOOOOO! Derek, thou hast plunged a knife into my heart. Proper grammar is not debatable unless you write for newspapers [e digicons]>:([/e] Here is a breakdown which I copypasted because this isn't really important enough for me to blab on about it after you've already decided :) The only authorities who advocate omitting the final comma are newspaper style guides (which wish to save column space) and some English

You're right, good catch. Go look at my other thread before they put those up. https://forums.elementalgame.com/434044
Thanks, yeah I'm thinking the same for the tips if possible, but I haven't looked into it. I haven't had the game long enough to go poking through and see what I can find. These were easy to find, thankfully.
More grammar crap. As always, some things may seem picky but I'm just callin' 'em like I sees 'em. Thanks Derek for getting on these so fast :) This focuses on the beginning of the game. It'll probably be all for today, as I think this will at least cover the initial impressions of folks who buy next week. ====== Who Are You? Thanks Derek, I would not have done this if I had not already seen you respond quickly to this type of thing - it's nice to know I can make a difference :)
I will always stand against the use of slavery, taxation without representation, and the Oxford comma.
