With WoW there was a option to use my debit card and it was easy as hell. I love easy It was just a tip for Stardock for some extra dollars. I don'tknow much about how it all works but it might be an option to look at. I will have to use my mates credit card
Preorders don't work
Ah, my card was a VISA. Actually now that I think about it, I paid through paypal I think. Edit: Nope, I used my card
I've never heard of a bank card in europe. Either it's a credit or a debit card. A credit card is where you get a bill at the end of the month and pay that, and a debit card is where the card is linked to your bank account and you pay instantly. I've got a debit card, and I had no problems purchasing the game.

This wasn't just wandering mobs, this was an actual attack following a declaration of war from AI controlled player.
... and it was awesome!
Fuck Europe. And I live there. If you can't make a reasonable profit, stick with DD. If you can't make it work, stick with DD.
Semi-unrelated but is there a Dwarf Fortress for... inexperienced people? I tried one of the original ones and it was just way too much for me to comprehend and the graphic were difficult to understand. I've heard about some things that improve the graphics but can't find 'em.
http://www.bay12forums.com/smf/index.php?topic=59026.0 The most important things are the graphics tileset and DwarfTher
So... you ARE taking out goodie huts? It's tine headline but I don't see a comment about it. It's going to make the game a LOOOT slower... isn't it?
Hey, why not.... I'm not a modder myself, but if modding is such a huge part of the game... every month select 2-3 mods, let the community vote for one, stardock decides another, if yours is good enough then a 25 buck giftcard is in order. It's not about creating an incentive, though. It's showing that you appreciate the modders.
A month is pretty much a lifetime in Stardock terms.
Yay! Better AI, fewer crashes! [e digicons]:')[/e]
I'd like to see a button to build roads to city X. Then as each turn passes, the two towns automatically complete a set amount of tiles of the road. Also one button to remove a tile of road, and one button to add a custom tile of road somewhere. This way, you've got the heavily automated way, and the micromanagement way, and roads won't just pop out of nowhere.
The problem with diplomatic capital in human games is that its a spendable resource, and it has to be something you can't exploit. Idea: you can use it to force a cease-fire between the spending player and a player he is at war with. For each consecutive turn, the amount spent doubles (ex:5-10-20-40), and the original value is affected by the population of the enemy. Cease-fire prevents all battles, but not crossing borders. Idea2: You can use it to temporarily disable movemen
It's the internet.
If keyboard+mouse provided such a massive bonus to PERCEIVED skill level, then it's obvious why they don't enable it for xbox... because it would make it mandatory to keep up.
I've had some work, and others not. There seem to be two different kinds of city reveal functions. At least, I think I've seen 2 different texts when the boon is granted. One seems to function, while the other does not. I don't remember which.
Spaceship combat is the core (and probably the single) gameplay mechanic of GSB. This is where everything happens. The player can choose from a set of missions that will be unblocked as soon as the player finishes the previous mission. That was a vicious reduction of my post, I think [e digicons]:'([/e]
Annatar, given a large enough sample (several thousands qualify without a doubt) it can be determined that the sample represents the whole population within a few %s of doubt. It won't be 100% accurate, of course. But statistical analysis is a very viable means of determining things such as these. However, there are many other things that flaw the report, as noted. And without actual insight into the report, we can't determine its validity (or rather, the validity is zero). That's why
I don't agree with that. It is equally viable to look at what games were purchased, instead of what games were sold.
This is market research, not science.
I disagree completely, Annatar. A large sample can be accurate to within a few %. Human surveys can produce useable data. Is it flawless? Of course not. It's an indicator. Scientifically speaking, unless the method is explained to its fullest, the numbers are useless. To me, the data is not relevant. The fact that the data gets presented is relevant. While you may not believe it, others will.
Isn't it obvious? [e digicons]:D[/e] Edit: Just to be clear, /s
