I'd give you karma, but I if I haven't already then you don't spend enough time on the Elemental forums XD (Annatar11 has less karma there, so its where I pretty exclusively hang out)

woot! I made it in! +1 to Denryu for all these surveys.... again Denryu, you should like personally PM me everytime you post these XD so I can be sure I never miss one (I'm joking, though I am disappointed when I miss one)

the box (or at least the special edition one) is also expected to come with goodies besides the "beefy manual" Demigod had a poster and a figurine, for example. (someday, I will have a Rook play as a rook or golem in a table-top RPG) I've been asking for 3 for a while, but the most I've ever gotten is "perhaps someday, but not right now" and I'm fairly certain its going to bet he same answer when Kryo or somebody official spots this thread.</p
only the first bear cavalry line. Space ponies does not naturally compute into bear cavalry, and also breaks the princess rule
yeah, it was a bad joke anyway. What do you mean the princess rule though? It refers to something I must not be aware.
You left out "always defended by a hoard of rabid, olvergrown fanboys".
overgrown!? what are you suggesting? (I'm trying to lose weight *tear*

last I check it was ok to install a Stardock game on as many computers as you want, provided it does not remain installed on all of them. You do not have a download "limit" of any kind. You just should be the only one using it (don't give it to your friends, for example, with the exception of the possible LAN scenario, but then its ONLY during that game session) Just like, if you install it on your grandmother's computer to play it for a while, uninstall i

considering the whole family tree deal they have planned, and the importance of "daughters" that will be in that (for use on battle fields or otherwise) I can't imagine that the females and their role in population is in any way going to be downplayed. But of course, we'll see

I'm not sure about the "superstack" as there are many ways to deal with that, But, this game will without a doubt have a ranking system at some point to promote those units that have seen many battles. This game promises to have dragons as powerful as 100s of little normal dudes. I'm not sure what that means in terms of weaker units more relevant, since you didn't actually set any kind of standard... but its on the same topic. They certain

yeah, I'd have to veto elves. However rings on units that let them cast fire spells are a grand idea. We'll see how it turns out. It will cost essence, and therefor only really be widely available to players who choose not to use the "going gandalf" tactic.

As long as it says "Bear cavalry: Ferocious and unstoppable. Any opponent is pretty much @#$!ed." If it needs to be longer, it can have "Especially space ponies." added on. If it wants to actually contain something intelligent, it COULD add: " Bears are members of the Ursidae family. They are Bears are normally antisocial which makes them less comfortable to be trained with other bears the way horses or do

What is all this talk about "Fun" ? we don't need that! (joking) but seriously, I wouldn't worry about it. Ever played D&D 4th edition? while I'd likely argue thats more of a strategy game than an RPG, it is what many people think of when they hear of table-top RPGs. You say in the "typical RPG" the player characters are much more powerful than all other units except for a few bosses? Well

I'd vote for option 3 and perhaps option 1. option 1 doesn't make total sense because why would the caravan be able to use the best weapon? I know few merchants that are particularly skilled at fighting. But in theory if they were skilled in fighting, or had a hired guard, they'd have access to the best equipment the merchants carry.

on kryo's note, I believe it has also been confirmed by Frogboy that there will be fantastic units to be obtained through magic means, i.e. summoning. it was in one of his "FAQs" found in the dev journals I think.

its a tricky situation when it doesn't even pretend to start. Posting your direct X diagnostic might help I'd wager though. If anything else, the devs might be able to build a machine as close to yours as possible and install the version of direct X you have to see if they can reproduce it in a place where they have easy access to all the troubleshooting tools they need. (To get the Direct X diagnostic I just mentioned, type in your searc

I have to support the rearranging of UI. I personally don't think Elemental is a game where "minimal UI' is in any way a positive feature. The ability to hide UI to look at the sexy shader engine you're pooring time into... yes. But the UI right now seems minimalistic in a way I'd expect an action game to be. Less is better, sure, but when you try to compact info into a bunch of tabs at the bottom is when you know you have a problem because that isn't less inf

I'd want to see something like Option C. The way I'd want the units to be kept to a minimum is have a system that holds what is a direct upgrade of something elser (you might have to send some time early on, or just use a few pre-made sets) If you have mithril helms on all your guys once you gain access to mithrel, (because all I'd want is the cheapest armor, leather oc icot, and the best armor, mithril, adamantine, oricalcum, ect. I'd only use bronze or steel

I'm not sure what the officials think. But I think pointing out typos found in the lore is something that somebody has to do and you've done a good job. I thank you for catching the often missed "ending sentence with preposition".

seen it before, though I'm a bit bothered you said "kids these days" as if a single example from the internet is enough to make a sweeping generalism like that (I know its a joke, perhaps I'm just irritable of late) I mean, children and young adults have talent too... they just arn't being paid to express it. (it was once said something like, "kids straight out of college arn't always worth hiring to good positions" around me onc

I'd say I'm a game. I bought Majesty 2 because I was feeling down, and man... it picked me right back up again. (thats when you know you've got a good game) Yeah, the demo basically had the easiest level (tutorial) and hardest level (not even in the game) as the examples. I guess the idea was to give the entire spectrum of what to expect from the game. (I feel they should have made it more clear that it is intended to be insanely hard)
