Looked odd, the battles were cool, but the rest.. Uhmm, there were things that looked more like some drama series than star trek, with plenty of whiny characters and what not.. plus they looked to young.

Think it depends on differnet things, but i like the idea with areas that perhaps might be more hostile and harder to settle that way.
Well it could be interesting if regular random games could have story like events.. though i am not sure how a campaign with this game is going to play like.
So you are asking for model randomization then ? Something to avoid clone armies with ?.. something which i would agree with btw :) or something else ?
Quite happy as well, besides, any non human races could be added later on with more thought to them beyond just being reskinned men or fallen.
He is mad ! Kill him ! have only heard of dragon lance and tried D&D in my youth.. but nowadays.. no one to play with.. So i game and talk on forums..
@annatar: Ahh i see.. Well how should i know ? But always good, means that something truly epic might come !
Do we even know if relics are in ? And if they are, keep them random, they should not be calculated or anything, they should be complete surprises !
In the end it would be odd and kinda lose it's sting if the channeler was immortal, i mean then it would just be like "Oh i died again.. oh well, just have to wait" Compare that to : "OH shit ! I just died and my beatiful kingdom is crumbling around me ! Oh no ! And just when i had achieved a capital city that looked like a pretty flower !" ... perhaps not the best example, but i hope you get the point.
Well it was not just intended for those who have seen, but new comers as well, so they might see the newest first ;) and hail the grammartroppführer !
Not quite the same.. the quartermaster doesn't handle where it actually goes and what goes where... In any case for that it has been mentioned you can prioritize, but directly telling what units should be upgraded should probably be a job for the player..
A suggestion spartan, in the future when you add things, adding dates to it would make it easier to get an overview of things :)
@Lavitage: Well you don't really have to train them, as far as i understand, you could smack together a legion of well equipped, but untrained troops. @Ron Lugge: Point, but if we go by that train of thought.. shouldn't most of the game be automated then :P ?
@tenchifew: those are some rather subjective points with which one could easily disprove and seem to be a rather stereotypical view of RTS gaming to be honest.. In any case, having looked at the screenshot over at gamespy, i would dare to say that combat as well looks turnbased, where i to be honest had hoped for some real time as it tends to make things a bit more.. visceral [e digicons]:D[/e] and generally more interesting. Not that i mind turnbased combat, far
How about abandonware ? Not exactly legal as far as i know.. especially when stardock had to try and obtain the rights from someone.. and if it is still being sold...
Well, when you are dealing with the re-equipment of such an army anyways, it's more a question of logistics, because either you'll have to move the army to your main military center for them to be equipped immediately, which would leave your outer territories somewhat exposed, or you would have to deal with a logistics nightmare of epic proportions no matter what, just to ensure that weapons, armor and such was sent out to all the different armies throughout your realm. <p
Well they are a pain in the ass to turn into mounts.. besides just because they are magical doesn't mean they are there.. Just means that outfitting anyone with them is going to be a slow process. But what do i care, they will be trampled underfoot by my legions ! ... of course not highly trained legions.. Edit: No.. Human Legions ! With Steel Equipment.. well okay,, bronze perhaps, do you know how expensive steel can be ? And bronze might just be for my elite l
Well the Fallen are just evil "super" humans of some sort with a rather acute neophobia of sorts it seems.. so no elfy things there.. But i am rather curious as to how distinct they will actually be, will those destinctions actually matter ?
Nasty global spells ? Well they definately should have some major implications, perhaps even some randomly chosen so you never really know what might happen. So opening that daemon gate in one game might result in the dead rising all over the world, and in the next game might result in regular meteor rains, of course the benefits should still be tempting and awesome in their own right, otherwise the spells will never get used... And i don't know why, but i keep getting ideas of r
Of course.. how are you going to get that many bears ?
Sounds intruiging for certain. Of course question is, what sort of things can you imbue the magical weapons with ? Will it just be +x,+y,+z and +-so-on ? Or might other effects be added as well ? Of course now i wonder, how many types of weapons will there be ? How many types of raw resources to work them from ? And will there also be quality of the items depending on what you have to make them with ? Also Driders Schmiders ! They shall be nothing compared to my imperious legions !</p
And here i suppose i might have to ask a silly question.. but in the end, wouldn't it just be easier then to do it all by yourself ? As the alternative seems to be some rather awkward and complex system that in the end might require more work than just doing it by yourself...
Well a campaign will always be welcomed :) Question is of course how good it will be ;)
Well that quickly became interesting, although it seems some people might have missed the point, i am not saying killing is inherently bad or anything like that, i was just trying to get some discussion going on the whole Moral Relatavism bit which many of you seem to subscribe to rather heavily. In the end it all comes down to how you actually view the world and such, and as long as that is there.. you will have people killing people :P Because opposing ideas will
Considering i don't know of Gal Civ 2 i can't really say i have experience with that :P And i'd still say i would prefer something more than just "humans with powers" to be what said of the cataclysm.. Besides who said it had to be gods ? They could present themselves as gods, but they could be many other things..
