In the worst case scenario: If you're Australian, cannot play the game because of technical issues, and Stardock refuses to refund the game, read up on the Australian Competition & Consumer Commission website. ACCC provides a guide to the statutory rights of consumers in regards to refunds here: http://bit.ly/b5mChk Here are a couple of quotes: Statutory rights apply to all consumer purchases. These righ

I'll second I Intrude. If the upcoming patch won't fix the performance issues, which make the game unplayable for me, I don't think I can trust Stardock to ever do it. This isn't immature. I can't play the game. Stardock says the next patch will fix it. If it doesn't I still won't be able to play the game. I'll ask for a refund. I hope that the patch will fix the problem. If I get a refund and Stardock fixes the issues some time down the track, I will

Apologies for threadomancy. Please bear with me. Elemental multiplayer is intended to be simultaneous, right? Why not take advantage of it. Implement a branch of Tech called "Intelligence" or "Surveillance" or "Spy Network" or something. The higher you've developed the tech the later you will get to act in a turn. So, for example, a player who hasn't researched this Tech at all will go first during a turn, then lock in his moves. A player who has researched this tree w

Could it be an ATI-only issue? Radeon HD 4800 here, same problem. Very choppy frame rate when I look at a city, otherwise bearable. Switching to single core affinity didn't help. [EDIT] Apologies, I've noticed that people with a Geforce GPU have also posted about the same problem.

What SAJ said. Remember Stardock's Bill of Rights? One of the points reads: Gamers shall have the right to demand that games be released in a finished state. Physical copies are already being sold in stores. Stardock is still working on the day 0 patch.

I hope so. The campaign is tiny and uninspired. I doubt the extra day will make a difference in that sense. Will have to try the sandbox after day 0, due to rampant CTDs.

@Dariune /agree Despite my gripes, I think the music is great. And it's a very pretty game. Very choppy performance at the moment though.

The writing isn't bad, but it's hardly memorable. Some of the names and cliches will make you die inside a little though. If the campaign was really designed as a tutorial, isn't it pretty light on instructions? I must have missed something, but I didn't realise I could build farms and mines over the resources around my towns for a long while. I didn't even notice the resource bar at the top of the screen at first. s: It's partially a resolution thing, I guess.

I'll second the OP -- on the merit of 1.0, the campaign is just cheesy and not very fun. Just updated to 1.01. Once more into the breach.

It's all good. I left Impulse to download the game overnight, successfully.

Looks like Impulse Anywhere is the go. I downloaded the installer, but when I try to download any of the data archives, I get a file not found error. Tried refreshing and accepting the terms and conditions again, same deal. Download manager fails to find it too. [EDIT] Here is the error when I click on any of the data files in IA: File not found when looking for elemental 1.00.010
