I think Golems should get overpower as a skill, currently they are trough but quite weak compared to other units you can train at that point in the game. I think overpowered would fit with what the Golem is and make up for the fact that they are single units. Cheers CaptinDan

Since the game is about to go live i wondered what has happened during the Beta that you loved. I paly to win but i don't consider it really sporting to attack before mid game, anyway i am having to much fun questing, killing stuff, building my cities and all theat fun stuff, Then i have a big fight with the AI at the end.

I think the game is very good. The AI is nearly there but it is missing the importance of Mana. It is good at leveling heroes, building units, building cities and casting spells but it doesn't value having a store of Mana. Because of this it cast too many unit enchantments and does not always build cities on high Essence locations and so its Mana store is generally low (50-100 Mana?). I think the weapon upgrading needs some love. With the new weapon abilities the current upgrading system doesn't work, for instance i make a nice group of one handed axe maidens, but when i unlock the next weapon tech i get the option to upgrade their weapons and they suddenly start using maces. So what i suggest is that each weapon type is listed separately in the weapon selection screen, each weapon is given an upgrade ability and so sword maidens could upgrade swords. Spear uni

The Dark Wizards are very tough if you don't have the right units. You need units with really high initiative so that you can kill him before he casts his spell. To be fair in the choice it does say something "i will leave this after all he is a DARK WIZARD". Still 'Bill' is a good unit so it is worth the effort.

Hi I wanted to say thank you for all your hard work and commitment, it is much appreciated. I think the ghost of EWOM is laid to rest, LH is a good solid beta and lots of fun. I have only played for a few hours but it really has the one more turn thing (keep carrying on after i have saved and need to go and do something else!) I like the heores and the progession system. I don't get a lot of time to play, although i have been playing all the Betas since WOM. Here are my thoughts on the new build. Overall i like it. The AI is improving and the diplomacy changes are nice. My big problem with this build is with how easy it is to win using the spell victory. Since the resources in the tower building has been nerfed it is far to easy to win this way. Whilst it is good that the computer now tries to win using spell victory i have found that each

I like them as well. You can make really good monks using the speacial staff they unlock in the Warfare tree, add the robes and dodging traits and they can be really quite nice. I had some monk units that lasted the whole game, by the end they didn't really do any damage, but they were hard to kill and stopped the AI from getting to my killer mages.

Before you go to war with someone trade all your techs for money. They won't be able able to exploit the techs before you crush them and extra cash is always good.

I like how roads work generally but i have two problems with the system. 1. When i build a new settlement i don't believe it has really been connected to my empire if the road that connects it runs through enemy territory. particularly if there is a route that can be built which does not involve going through enemy territory. 2. I think 5 is to low for lower land. I was happy with 50 but if it is to be lowered i think 25 - 30 is fair. At 5 the mountian defense that you may have means nothing. I am fine for the AI to lower mountians to attack me and escape from poor starting locations but it should come at a cost.

When i play Gilden i can build Shiled wall units with the shield wall ability (+5 defense for each unit in the stack) but when i was playing Gilden round my mates house he could not build these units. Both of us have the current build installed. If the Shield wall ability is suppose to be in the Gilden build i think it is very over powered - it is far to easy to get a Killer stack with + 30 defense or more.
