Thanks for the info. That explains it. Guess I need to get this computer into the modern era then.

I submitted a ticket with a log file. Thank you.
So I just activated the one copy of the game I was able to buy on my son's computer, and the game will not run. Steam does not give a useful error message. After launching the Servo.exe manually I get this error: "The version of this file is not compatible with the version of Windows you are running. Check your computer's system information to see whether an 32-bit or 64-bit version of the program." This computer is running Windows 7 32-bit. Is
I attempted to buy a 2nd copy of the game, but I get a message that I have to wait for my order to be processed: Order number: 3480916 Status: This order has been queued for processing by customer service. You will receive an email within one business day, at which time you will be charged and your order will be fulfilled.
I want to buy two copies of the game for co-op. The Store only lets me add one game copy. I'd like to have two Steam copies and gift one of them.
If there are still going to be bonus tiles on planets, I have to say that it would be nice to be able to see them (and whether they have an appropriate improvement sited) without cycling through every single planet.
I found myself renaming planets based on their specialization because otherwise I couldn't tell which planets were which. Research #1, Research #2 etc
I am very excited about Galciv 3! I was very pleased to hear the game will be 64-bit and using DX10. Give me a game that will push my PC hardware. I think the hardest part will be waiting for the game to come out since it is probably 1 - 2 years away still. Recently I read an article about project managers protecting their programmers from the user community by isolating them. I wish I could find it again to share because it was very illuminating. I didn't like Civ5. Civ4 was my favorite Civ game. I was so looking forward to Civ5, and when I played it it was the biggest letdown. They just dumbed down the game so much. The games I played came down to catapult/artillery spam. I didn't like how the cities worked nor the buildings. The tech tree wasn't nearly as interesting. It was basically a PC version of the XBox 360 Civ Revolutions with cartoony graphics and all.
I like carriers too!
I hope StarDock takes a page from the game StarDrive when it comes to ship building and combat. StarDrive is basically a real-time version of Galciv, and I think the strongest element of the game is how the ship builder impacts the tactical battles. I'd love the new Ship Builder to allow you to actually place the types of armor on the hull in the places you want followed by guns, shields, power etc inside the hull wherever you want. What is cool about this is that you
Thanks for the answers! My Sovereign has been in a party with 2 other Champions, so the XP has been shared. I'll have to split them up if I want to level them faster.
I started my first game with difficulty of best AI but without the cheating. My Leader has done all the exploring and participated in every battle. I declared war and forced one of my enemies to surrender after my Leader (with army) captured several of his cities. My Leader is now level 8 which I thought was pretty good. I discovered the enemy Leader, who surrendered, and he is level 14! How did he outlevel me by so much? My Leader has been battling almost
LOL. Okay!
I am definitely only hitting the button one time. I see the button depress and then nothing. No sound, no change. If I right-click the button I hear a "thunk" sound but nothing happens either. I think the button is broken in my game. :P
Playing as the Advent. I have the technologies "Resource Focus" and "Enhanced Focus." When I click on my Trade Station, I see a button with the picture of the Trade Station in the Action Pane. When I hover the mouse over it, it displays "Resource Focus." When I click the button, nothing happens. The Trade Station does not switch, and the button does not change either to reflect. What do I click to enable Resource Focus? I can't figure it out.</p
Bad Idea: Threatening the US with your own Middle Eastern dictatorship while GWB is president.
The PopcornHour can play DVD ISO files. Just make ISOs of your DVDs and play with the PopcornHour: http://www.popcornhour.com/onlinestore/
I have the EXACT same issue as well. Usually there is one person out of 8 people that cannot connect to me, but I can connect to them. I just don't know what to do. DMZ does not work.
The game manual states: "Gold. Earned by killing opponents as well as from gold mines your team has captured." It says nothing about earning gold from killing mobs. However I have seen people state you do get gold for killing the mobs. I do not think this is necessarily true. For example: Torchbearer casts rain of fire and ice on a stack of 20 mobs. Gold should jump up big time for killing all those guys at once. However there is no gold earned at
The tooltip of similar fleet bonus modules say they do not stack with each other. However, do different fleet bonus modules stack? For instance, will a +30% fleet bonus to defense stack with a +20% fleet bonus to defense module? Likewise is stacking +20, +25% and +30% to fleet attack modules worth putting on each massive hulled ship and putting them in the same fleet? Also, does the fleet haste module stack with other ships that have the same module? What do
I see. I think I have 3-4 fully built-up economic resources. I have loads of constructors since I am at peace with the 3 remaining races. I did not choose the +20% econ government as I picked Warparty instead. I'll have to check and see what my bonus to economy is. None of my planets are even remotely close to $2000. I recently made a dozen super fast, long range survey ships which constantly roam the galaxy picking up anomalies.
So I setup the waypoint system as you described and Wow! My turns go 50 times faster using waypoints instead of manually telling my ships where to go. Thanks again for the help!
Thank you so much! I will try the waypoint system again tonight. :D
So in an immense galaxy with abundant everything I have a good 50 planets now. I'd say at least half of them are full econ planets meaning 1 farm, 1 morale building, 1 factory and all the rest are stock markets. I'm playing as a custom race with the terran tech tree since I guess that is an easier tree to play. My very best planets which make the most cash pull in about 350-460bc before expenses if I'm reading it right from the planet screen. Is this typical of a good mo
Good point. I hadn't thought of not upgrading an early farm on a +300% tile. I suppose on tiny maps it could make some sort of difference.
