I have plenty sim speed in single player, but in multiplayer I still often dip into the negitives with everything on low. I seem to have a "Realtek AC97" sound driver, and although I reformatted a few months ago, the last driver update was in 2006, so I think it's the "newest" version. :P I'll try disabling the sound, but... well, I hope this gets fixed, if that fixes it. Also I disabled a bunch of startup junk, thanks for the tip.

He's being sarcastic, but I'm serious. If I have above the reccomended settings I should be able to play the game without slowing everyone to a crawl, right? If this is a well known issue I'd think it should count as a pretty serious bug...

Well, honestly, the people on this board are probably well less than 1% of the people who bought the game. I'm very impressed that the people who work here actually listen to what people say, but don't get worked up over the inevitable... I'll say, agressive ignorant people.

I have a dual-2.41 processor, 2 gigs of memory, and an 8800 with 320 megabytes of ram, everything is on the lowest settings... and I still usually have the lowest sim times in a match, often dipping into the negitive in the larger maps. I'm way above the reccomended hardware, which suggests to me I ought to play with maxed settings without a hitch. I've heard something about turining sound off entirely, but... jeez, unless I totally don't understand the reccomended hardware suggestion

You can only 'port one way, so either he has to run up or run away. If you can't stop someone from waltzing into your base, you're probably gonna lose anyway.

I've only twice played with a teammate so incompitent I knew we where guarenteed to lose... and I played through the game, both times. I mean, how do you know the opposing team didn't get an unlucky draw, too? And it's not like losing is the end of the world, if your teammate(s) feed your enemies up four levels, you don't have to take it as a personal failing when you lose. No better way to get better than to face stiff compitition and try to pull your team out of the hole singlehandedly.

Plus, you'd never know if someone had a low rating because they're bad sports or because they're new. :P What's wrong with actually telling people you thought they did well? Admittedtly it'll be easier when we can type at the end of game screen (or how about this, letting us go back to the lobby togther instead of having to quit?), but I have gotten complements for doing well from the other team... of course, only when I'd lost anyway. :P The losing side tends to be much less complimentry.</p

Favor items can't be too strong or they dominate early game, but what about ones that are partially locked until a certian level? Sensi's Teachings +400 hp +5 HP/s If your level is 10 or higher, +400 armor and +10 HP/s War Dog Idol Summon 1 War Dog. If your level is over 5, summon 2 War Dogs. If your level is over 10, summon 3 War Dogs. If your level is over 15, summon 4 War Dogs.
As for the original build, I think it sounds like it could be successful, though I do feel like the minions would need to play a more primary role than a secondary one. Minions can do a lot of damage.
Well, I generally buy up all of Sedna's healing (except grace) at first, then get into the yetis. Sedna's early level Yetis are kinda weak and expensive, but idol minions, a yeti or two, and healing wind is good enough to make me a

I have recently been trying out a Sedna build with her minions. The difference between this and the other times I've used it is that I'm having the minions secondary, instead of primary. The way I spec Sedna, there's exactly enough points to max either pounce or minions, and the way I play her, the minions work better. Not that this is going to be a surprise to anyone who's into this game, but Sedna does very little damage. Pounce just isn't in the league of most attack skills, s

It isn't so much people hate AIs, people hate having to rely on AIs, especially since 90% of the people who play multiplayer can easily curb-stomp the normal-level AIs they get stuck with. AI enemies are of course ok (assuming they're a challange), as are third-party AIs. I don't know what role they where origionally intending to put AI players into, but if it's on your team, they're right in predicting that people would have hated them. Can you think of one game where y

Simple enough, you see thread after thread about how to best use Oak and Erebus' minions, but the only mention you hear of the Yetis and Shamblers is "never". I think a big part of that is the simple fact that Sedna and QoT get 4 minions rather than 10, and even if they're stronger initially, items and abilities affect Oak and Erebus' horde two and a half times more. They also cost a fair chunk of mana to summon, while Erebus gets his free and Oak's are nearly free. Now, I don't think

Actually the technical issues where just as severe at first, but it was the many, many promised (like, a week beforehand) features they outright dropped that put the nail in it's coffin. :P But still the same level of problems, even if they wheren't identical. Hopefully, Stardock saved Demigod in the long term with the 'bandaid' and cupons, 'cause I love this game. :)

I guess it's HoL's own 50% mana effect. Hm... that means Planar Battlecrown would be way, way more effective with HoL than Vlemish Faceguard.

I would be shocked if it was half of that if you include Skirmish/Pantheon.
I just play custom games... don't honestly see a point to those two. And I do mean 95% per person, not a 95% chance you connect to everyone. Still, the fact I can reliably play 4v4 games is a massive improvement over being able to start a 3v3 game less than half the time. And with the new patch next week (35% less uploading), hopefu

Theoretically winning only gives you 60 more favor points, but in practice 99% of the time the winning team won because they outleveled the other people, which means someone on their team automatically gets the achievement for levels, gold, kills, and most likely they get it for reinforcements killed, citidel upgrades, structures... ect. It's kinda hard to outdo the winning team in most ways... and still lose. :P

I really wish her minions where melee, it'd make mulch shambler much more useful without crazy amounts of micromanagement... still, I think she can do decent as this support style assasin, I think I'm gonna try it. Fortunately she has tons of abilities to choose between, and just sitting around in closed form has a number of advantages.
