Here's a list of some problems I've found. I didn't want to start a new thread, so I'm just sticking it in this one. Not sure how many of these have already been mentioned, but here's the bugs I've noticed: 1) Occasionally, I'll hear the music for new tech discovered screen, but that screen won't pop up. It cuts off after a couple seconds, but the main music doesn't come back on. 2) There are still occasional problems with windows popping up on top of other windows. Specifical

"Finally, where does Brad get the time to play, develop and keep the communication going?" I've heard rumors that Brad has some type of deal going with Clonaid, and there's three of him.

Here's an idea, building off what mindlar said: After a starbase is already built, allow a player to double click on the starbase and set a number of constructors you want sent to it. When a constructor is built, have it automatically move towards the closest starbase requesting constructors, checking to make sure the max. number aren't already heading there. If there aren't any of such starbases, have it act normally. This would take a lot of tedium out of ordering around constructors

Great job on Beta 4. The new intro screen looks terrific, and I like most of the new changes in general. The game is really progressing. Here are a few things I noticed while playing, though; Bugs: I can group enemy fleets together. It doesn’t seem to affect enemy ships that are alone, but I’m not sure if it does anything to enemy ships that are stacked. To avoid confusion, perhaps the button should only appear if you have a stack of two or more of your own ships in a space

All looks good. AI has obviously seen some substantial improvements in how it plays the game. I haven't played too much yet, but these are a few small things I've noticed: - Sometimes pop-ups appear over other pop-ups. This seems to happen the most when an alien race speaks to you, causing the diplomacy screen to pop up. Other screens will still pop up over it. - The wormhole anomaly is still described as “somehting spooky.” All the other bugs I’ve seen have been men

You need to control the sector the planet you want to defect is in. After that, it looks like the more culture you have compared to their culture and the lower their morale is, the better the chance of them rebelling and joining your empire.

"Well, it has been established that both will happen, just which one will get in to 1.0 " Yeah, but a lot of reviewers only review the product straight out of the box. They won't log on to get a patch to add whichever doesn't get added. "and there IS going to be a way to group ships, even if there are no Flagships, so why vote for Flagships?" I hadn't heard about this. I thought Flagships were going to be the only way to group ships. If they put in another way other th

I hope you have the time for both. But if you don't, I voted for flag ships. I figure that Terror Stars, while cool, are an extra. People who haven't been following the game aren't going to pick it up and say "How come you can't turn starbases into star-destroying superships?". But people (including reviewers) will probably notice it if there's no way to move units around in groups. Fleet movement will probably be expected by many players, but terror stars won't. Flagships will do more

Just recently won a difficult game through cultural conquest. The victory screen said I won by cultural conquest, but when I got to the submit score screen it said I had a military defeat, and adjusted my score accordingly.

One idea I've seen elsewhere before is to have some type of galactic karma. Bad things happen to bad people, and vice versa. It would require that random events be implemented that don't give you choices like the ones in the current build do. The more evil you are, the more likely you are to get bad events, and the more good you are, the more likely you are to have good things happen to you.

Another very minor bug. I don't have the newest build, but this seems like the kinda bug that would be able to escape notice for a long time. After spying on the Drengin for a while, their most populated planet was Weber IV, which was one of my planets. I got it from the drengin through culture. It has two colonized planets, so I think what might have happened is that only one of the planets was marked as mine and not the Drengins. Other than the incorrect statistics on the Drengin, I didn't not

During my most recent game at one point I got the message that the Vor had a massive uprising and split into two empires. The problem is that the Vor had been extinct for several game-years. All in all, it looks pretty good. Crashes still happen, but they're less frequent than in 3B.

The ones on Avault were all released elsewhere before. There was a long time where those rare previews or bits of info didn't come with any new info. Here's some that are newer, and probably won't be too different from the final version. http://gamespy.com/asp/image.asp?platform=GC&genre=strategy&image=/previews/november02/moo3pc/20.jpg

After one of my starbases on an economic resource was destroyed, I couldn't build another starbase on that resource to replace it. I tried aproaching from several different angles and retarting GalCiv, nothing worked. It shows the resources as the destination, but when one square away the ship stops (still saying autopilot) even though it still has movement left. I can still move other places, though. I've got a save game file if you want it.
