I'd like to see a return of the Lineage system. I really liked the idea of building an empire/kingdom across many generations - I felt it really added a uniquely personalized bend to the game. -tid242

Keeping an eye on this. I'm guessing I'll hear more about it when it's out... cheers, -wmf
Someone needs to make a Rings of Power mod.... So that I can play it... -tid242
One thing I've noticed over the years is how often someone thinks a post (blog, fb, tweet, etc.) is about them. Makes me think of the song "you're so vain". Anyone else ever experience that?
Quit talking about me already... ;\ -tid242

In spite of LoL being "superior" in almost every way (except for all of the champs looking like a bad cross between Jar Jar Binks and the enslaved elves at Santa's Siberian workshop...), I still get a mad itch to play demigod every now and then... I love the fatalistic & gothic atmosphere... This is an old thread asking what Demigod (or DG2) could be if it were touched up or whathaveyou - I'm guessing that a lot of the incremental suggestions will be l
Back on topic, I'm not funding the game but I'll definately buy it when it's out.
Or $25 buys a DRM-free version now, $45 buys the 1st expansion as well. Worth it, IMHO - the great single-player RPG is a rare thing these days, and Eternity looks like it'll be a really interesting escape - free from publisher confines of making a family-friendly, xyz-stereotyped, form-fitting D&
So I finally got a (small) chance to plug around with b4. Maybe 100 or so total turns (started maybe 3 games with a custom faction, "hard" world and opponents). [typo] - Haste Spell on mouseover on the tactical battle screen says "+4 initiative in target" or something along these lines. If you find the .xml entry it will be clearly engrish. [bug] - with tactical battle and a ranged weapon, I get a graphics bug that
Of course, with GalCiv, only I could make this stuff. With Fallen Enchantress, not only can a stupid monkey like myself crank this out, but you guys could too.
And one of the things that annoyed me with the limited ability to mod Galciv2 content was my inability to trigger random events, principally though the tech tree. At the time (actually, I still want to do this...) I had wanted
This would also allow for the implementation of siege weapons. Either as a means of reducing the fortification value such that the units in the city can be attacked (if an actual siege system is implemented, per se), or the construction of siege weapons used to assault the defenders (ie, it takes 3 turns to build siege weapons when attacking a city (once the appropriate research is completed)). On a related note. Another method of making attacking cities mor
I'll second the suggestion for considering putting the dynasty system back into the game. I though this was a really great idea, and was disappointed that it never worked very well in WOM. Cheers, -tid242
There is no indication that the WOM tree will be worked on or updated. FE is the new game and further expansions will likely be solely for FE, or standalone. FE is a much more enjoyable game than WOM was to play. You wouldn't know it from the descriptions of the game or screen shots, but WOM's elements never really came together and it leaves the game with a slightly unsatisfying dynamic. FE has been a much tighter build and while WOM did not have the replayabi
Interesting. It caught my eye on Steam earlier tonight. I'll have to keep my eyes open for it, especially when it gets to $10 with all extra content thrown in. For now Sins and FE are about all I can handle without putting aside real life for gaming. Haven't even logged into LoL in a couple of weeks. Cheers, -tid242
I don't think that there's a dearth of beta testers. -tid242
I assume that you've seen "Game of Thrones?" - this is THE miniseries, at the moment... I'll have to check out Grimm and Terminator (the original movie was my favorite for a long time). Agree about "Firefly" - absolutely compelling. "The Wire" is perhaps the best series ever made (and it's entirely not my genre and still say this). "Rome" was a 2-season HBO miniseries that allegedly was too
Leveling heroes - far too often the abilities I want aren't present, preventing me from shaping the heroes as I want. Please consider going to a talent-tree like approach. Random isn't fun.
I actually like the random. Although it does suck when you are selected with a bunch of traits that aren't exciting for the build you're pursuing. What you don't mention i
This has been discussed previously. IIRC the adverse-combat-outcome was added as a result of champions having no penalty from being defeated in combat (broken nose, concussion, etc). And under the current system champions may still be slain, it just doesn't happen frequently. Personally, I like the present system. However, I wouldn't be averse to a a toggle under the game options screen (map size, difficulty, victory conditions

That's what the AI does.
Well, that's kind of what I do. But as a casual gamer, say, maybe I'm retarded because it's difficult for me to tell how much damage a spell is going to do *cough* UI improvement *cough*
I believe that this is a bug that I posted for beta 2. On the cloth map, the rat's nest (from the quest) shows up as a flat black tile. cheers, -tid242
voted "Excellent" If this was a finished/released game I would've voted "fair". At this stage (it's still beta!), it's excellent. It's a unique game, with tons of potential and although it's a slow-paced game, it's easy to accidently play for an extra hour or two. Yea, there are bugs, and it's not flushed out or even finished yet, but it's still beta. I think it's doing really
I might have missed this, but... - built custom faction with the ability to recruit beasts - killed big drake - get the message "learn "drake whatever tech" to recruit drakes" - on the civ tech tree I see nothing about drakes - there is a "dragon" one at the end of the tree - is this the same as drakes? Bug/typo, or am I just missing the drake camp on the tree somewhere? cheers, <p
Pretty much any MOB on the cloth map that I kill, their little statue/figure sticks around until the following turn. So often, I kill them, and then when I go to explore their lair it /looks/ as though I'm walking on top of their little statue, but it's just a visual artifact,t the game treats the tile as though it's (rightfully) vacant. cheers -tid242
A wolf army spawned on a coastal tile, with only two of the models visible on land. My cursor changed into a combat cursor but I couldn't right-click them. I had just accepted a quest that asked me to get three wolf pelts, so maybe they were spawned by the quest? Reduced 35%Original 1599 x 952
Ditto that, I had them spawned on top of a mountain - I should've just killed the old bastar

Quoting IronKaiser, reply 2I'd say that this certainly isn't too much to ask for, and indeed should be incorporated into the main factions as well. Tarth territory should look forested, and Pariden pastures should have a bluish hue, as if the magic of the realm pervades the very ground they walk.
<br
I would much rather have a dynamic limit. Just as theirs a pack-mule encumberance, I would like to see an variable equip limit with different types of champions being able to equip different amounts and different types of items. For now a item per champion limit seems fine, but as a future direction this being a modifiable trait seems interesting and intuitive to me. -tid242
