The multiplugin doesn't work with the latest update the itunes, but hopefully it will be updated soon because it does skinning well and has additional useful features. BTW, I've found that once I got used to iTunes, I like it a lot more than I would have ever thought.

I get this sometimes with my system tray dock as well, but it stops if I click on another tab and then go back. It seems that it typically happens when the number of icons in the system tray changes.
Hit browse and it'll let you use explorer to find the images you want.
For some reason, several programs on my machine (XP Pro, SP 2) are not able to call up the default browser (FF 1.5). The main problem apps are the Stardock apps I use (DX, Right-Click, OD+). I've also noticed the problem with MyBase and it sometimes comes up when trying to register newly installed software. Sometimes simply nothing happens (with Stardock products), or a message comes up saying that the application could not be found (or some other vari
It does seem to be a problem with certain FF themes. Try a few and see if the problem goes away for you. I always use FF 1.5 and have no issues at all (except with an occasional FF theme).
On the ipod, a right-click and eject within explorer works--just like any other drive. For the scanner, I just disable it through the device manager.
Well, I now have two repetitive tasks that I can't seem to find a way to automate. I played around with a few scripts to no avail. First, I would like a way to easily eject my ipod. Ideally, a link on my dock would work best, but some sort of widget would also be great. You would think that someone has already done this, but I couldn't find anything for Windows. The second issue I have is that my scanners conflict with each other, so I have
I actually do find the aero style less distracting. I have a widescreen monitor and never have any window maximized (or very rarely). Once you get used to it, the borders just sort of disappear into the background, while maintaining their functionality. I'm sure I'll get sick of it too, but at this point I like it a lot. I've always been a fan of minimalistic WB skins, and at this point the aero look does the job. I want it to look good, but not distra
They look great. You've actually managed to make the mybase icon look good, quite an accomplishment. Thanks so much.
Just take Judge's Desktop Picture sysstats config, and edit it so that the object is square (i set mine to the size that my dock zooms to, 192X192). Hide the controls and the frame (they don't look right resized), and then enter the directory where the pictures are at into the config dialog (instead of dropping them onto the object), and then you have what I was looking for. Judge also has the delay time set quite high by default (I don't recall what i
I have four that I haven't been able to find: VCom SystemSuite 6, MyBase, TextAlout MP3, and ZMover. I'd be absolutely thrilled if anyone could tackle any of these--I'm particularly surprised that there is no SystemSuite dock icon available.
I just use Arrow for my WB, with a very simple wallpaper and nothing else on the desktop. I have folder shortcuts, the calendar widget, and popup menus with volume and weather in Right Click. I use Object Dock Plus (aero backgrounds). I have a mailchecker, clock, iTunes controller (view), start menu button, power indicator, etc. in a zoomed dock in the bottom middle. On the top, I have a tabbed dock with the apps I used arranged by category (and the sy
Try pressing winkey+m instead--that actually minimizes everything instead of simply painting over open windows with your background. winkey+shift+m brings everything back. OD stays put when I do it that way.
So I'm in sort of minimilist mode right now--I've eliminated all of the widgets from my desktop, and am relying on a combination of OD docklets and a couple widgets in Right Click to replace functionality. There is one thing missing, however: my pictures. Judge has a nice desktop picture widget for AveDesk and Sysstats, but it doesn't work well on OD (not surprising, since it's not really supposed to). Is there anything else out there that would allow
I remember a long time ago when an IT guy where I worked said that it would mess your computer up to change your wallpaper (it was a tiny bitmap that I made). There is this thought that trying to make your computer look better is a waste of time. Almost ANY piece of software can mess your registry up if there is a hiccup--just think how we all hold our breath during the monthly Windows Update. \ Since WB is pointless, why take the risk? The
Right click, then dock settings. Then go to positioning, and set it to whatever you want (always on bottom should match the desktop setting with DX). Normal will make it like any other app--so you can have it on top if you wish--that should also allow the tooltips to come through. I would check, but I have the tooltips shut off. Hope this helps.
Enjoy. WinPLOSION is a great little app.
It's probably a skin issue. I have that problem with some FF skins in the past.
I have a relatively new HP (2 months, Pavillion zv6000), AMD Athlon 64 3200, 1g ram, XP Pro, ect., and everything is working fine (WB, OD+, Cursor XP plus, DX3, rght click, etc.). I'm not sure what it could be, but it doesn't seem HP is doing something intentionally. Have you tried both 4.6 and 5.0? I hope you can get this sorted out.
I'm usually downloading research (mostly pdf's), so it's nice having them staring at me on the desktop so I actually do something with them. When I get some time, I'll try to put together some sort of widget that'll be a better work around (I'm thinking a widget that displays the contents of some folder--automatically). But, it's the end of term (papers to write...and grade), so it'll have to wait a couple weeks.
I always have a couple widgets on my desktop, and was wondering if there is anyway to stop download icons from being placed beneath them (in particular, the default area for new icons, the top left corner, is where I like to have a calendar). Is there a way to define an area in which icons should not appear? I don't have any icons on my desktop generally (OD+ serves that need), but I do prefer to download to the desktop so that the files are easily acc
Try the "IE Tab" extension for the time being--it let's you open pages in an IE tab within Firefox. I use it for this site.
It's really worth getting the plus version, but if you can't--you can try this docklet. Link I'm not sure if it still works (I've had the plus version for a long time), but you might as well give it a try.
If we didn't have this site, we wouldn't even be talking to each other. I'm lucky enough to get to travel quite a bit, but I still would have never crossed paths with many of you. You make me smile whenever I have a chance to check this site, and for that--I am truly thankful.
