Hi Guys, I know this is the bottom of the list sort of stuff, especially with the OOM still tickling most people (myself included). I came across some problems with the faction creator this weekend (first time using it in 1.11). - The tab with the color selection options doesn't seem to lock your choices, in particular the faction color and on occasion the Clothes 1 & 2 - Faction Story doesn't seem to stick either. I composed a rather nice, lengthy b

Hi Derek et all, Is there any possible fix in the pipe for the archer animation delay with heros/units on mounts? This bug seems to have creeped back into 1.1, and it would be great to see it squashed :) It would be even better if we could already be working on other tactical actions while archers were firing, but perhaps that wouldn't be possible with how things are currently coded. Thanks!
Something that I noticed in a couple plays now (other than the unfortunate OOM), is that the archery lag bug has come back. If you put a hero on a horse or warg and fire a bow, there is a considerable lag after the shot hits and when you can take your next action. As a future idea, would it be possible to say fire one archer, and then already be clicking on the next one and ordering it to fire without having to wait for the arrow to fly across the screen and land? It wo
I know Frogboy has already discussed why certain creatures are not present, but I would certainly be in favor of an 'Undead' style book & or race. (yes I'm aware these things can be modded, but I'm looking more at core components much like the OP). It would be nice to also be able to have a spell book like "Death" and have to sacrifice captured soldiers or population for extra spell points etc etc. . To the OP: I agree with what you're saying about showing the magic
TheProgress: I never though about having sacrifical driven magic. That would be AMAZING! (and a great RP element). Creepyfellow: wholeheartidly agree. I believe there is a way to attack them... but I haven't figured it out yet myself. One of these days Janusk's alter ego Valera (or whatever it is) is going to get a stabbing from lots of dagger armed peasants. ..
I agree that the adventure & diplomatic trees could very well be presented in other fashions, but I would hate to see 'options' dwindled down in the name of 'streamlining' things. It seems that many games are going that route now and gone are the days of games you had to learn and explore (Morrowind is my best example for just being kicked off the boat and having to go figure the rest out. LOVED IT) I personally enjoyed the large tech tree in Gal Civ II and the choi
How is the undead mod coming along? These shots are great and I'm very much a fan :)
Thanks for the great replies/discussion. I agree this would be a great piece for an expansion (perhaps the first one Frogboy??? :) ). Over the weekend I had a good dynasty going with Tarth, but many of the grandkids ended up going over and joining those Tarth folks... it'd be great to be the angry Grandpa and haul those traitors back home [e digicons][/e]
I'd like to add my voice to this as well. I generally play Int/Magic driven Sovs and while it's nice to have the super protection of armor and what not; it would also be nice to have some decent robes, and perhaps A HAT! Wands probably wouldn't work though right? :( How about a "Staff of 'Plow Through Your Neighbor'" to go along with another fantastic write-up here: "Sword of Cheto" ?
You really should start a new game with every patch. There is a high chance your past save either A.) won't work or B.) crash with the new coding.
It's been nice coming back from a couple month business trip to see all the patches and work that Stardock has been pushing forward (thanks guys!). After playing a couple hours with the latest build I can't help coming back to a thought I had back pre-launch: Can we please take prisoners? Very often we come across a hero (or army commanded by the child of an enemy Sov) and we're more times than not forced to put them to rest. Would it be possible to conside
In terms of diplomacy, you need to research Alliances in the Diplomacy tree, then proceed to secure those alliances with the other factions. I was able to hit that victory last night... granted it was after finishing off most of my opponents, then just acquiring enough gold to setup the last alliance.
I agree that instead of adding a penalty for folks who wish to research one area, make the other areas a more interesting pursuit. I would love to spend more time on Magic, Adventure, or especially Diplomacy if I knew I could hold off, or even win with them. Yes I know there are ways to 'win' already in those trees... but as you press for those victories, nine times out of ten you will be slaughtered by warfare before you get even 2/3 of the way there. </p
Hi folks, I've seen this in 4 separate games now so I wanted to report it in the event it hasn't been brought up. Playing as empire, I had a raid of zealot Longbow Archers attacking a 150/150 15 defense Orge stack. Initial attacks varied from 15dmg to 31dmg. Once the stack was brought down to ~40/150, then my damage dropped to miss, 1, 2 until the stack was defeated. Is this by design that your attack damage drops expo
Quoting AllegroMonkey, reply 28 I'm in the same situation as you. Pre-ordered the limited edition roughly 2 weeks prior to launch... live in Yokohama Japan. Not a peep from sales other than my receipt saying they took my money. Yes I'm playing the download version, but had I known it would be nigh impossible to get this boxed copy in the mail, I would have just paid for the download. <

In addition to my previous statement about the archer speed (which I hope was noted :) ), has anyone else had a problem with Non-Aggression Treaties all of a sudden being cancelled then costing 9000+ to get back to terms again? It seems the treaties work fine for a few turns, then get cancelled for no apparent reason. Or perhaps is there a way the computer can notify us "gee we're sorry, we want to be agressive now. Thanks"
How about something for the Tactical Combat delay with Archers, especially if you equip a bow on your Sov. I love using archers, but I'm very tired of waiting for the miss text to travel on up (especially in the case of the Sov which could be 5-10 seconds due to lag). Can we speed that up ourselves, or can this be a fix for the greater good?
Well, if Stardock doesn't put in Human-Dragon hybrids, everyone should be aware that the Dragonlance Mod has a Race of them called "Draconians". Once we have the plugins to get them from Blender to a format the game will recognize we'll be releasing them as a stand alone race for people to download as a taste of what's to come in Dragonlance. That's pretty amazing, plus the UI Faction Creator??? wow
I had the exact same thing happen. I married the same gal then another approached from the north and I thought she refused my advances! It'd be nice to see a fix to this.
Per Title. To all the folks at Stardock: I'm having a fantastic time with your game. Installation this afternoon was flawless. Overall hiccups have been minor (still sensing some memory leaks, I'll help track it down this weekend). Although some winge and moan, I love the game and appreciate your work. THANK YOU!
Boxed pre-order or digital pre-order Vxvoodoo? That's what most of us are tracking at this point.
aye I was hoping for an update as well.
It seems that the orders are going by type, then date. We're starting in on boxed orders now, back to the oldest (download-only orders should all be processed now).
Is there a certain order for Limited over Normal, or vise-versa? I put in for the limited version quite some time ago and haven't seen anything come across email yet :(
