Quoting Donfield, reply 18943Is there some obsessive compulsion behavior you folks have that keeps you from posting anything more intellectually challenging than "reserved", etc.? It used to just be Possum's thing. A sort of very invisible lurking. That or just to express the fact that he has nothing to say to you. Then Ryat began mocking it. And then it just went out of control.
1. City building is not fun (including the insane caravan micromanagement) 2. Tactical combat is not fun and not remotely tactical 3. Champion placement on the map lead to major unbalances and exploits* you can kill high tier enemy unrecruited champions and get their awesome weapons very early in the game before the enemy has any chance to recruit them. also the whole mechanic feels lame, i would like to have them recruit-able from a small roster i
armies are no serious threat to any good hero. what most of you overlook is that the attack and hit points of any army get added, but the combat rolls are separate, i.e. if you have an army with impressive stats they will still deal no damage to a hero and also die really fast to any aoe effects. perhaps this due to the really bad ai at the moment, but i never found any serious threat to my heroes. if you know how to level them and where to get equipment there is nothing stopping you and cert
when i defeat an enemy and get loot i want to have an mouse over tooltip telling me what the item does. (instead of clicking ok -> go the inventory screen and look at the item)
had the same experience, conquered the whole map with 3 champions + sovereign. did this multiple times now. the key is to know what enemies you can take on any given time. personally i found my mage sovereign a bit more powerful than my melee champions. there are multiple issues with the promotions/traits that cause this unbalance: 1. some traits like way of the x should be mutually exclusive, because they are really powerful. i had some champions with way of the warrio

At least, that's what Stant and Carbo
why do you believe them? why should one guy have two accounts only to pretend on one of them to be a wild woman? that is as stupid as me making a second account, name it KrdaxDrkrun, only to give me karma ... -Exiled Possum&nbs

are farmers/worker abstracted numbers, for example a city has 1000 population does it have, say 500 workers and 500 farmers or is it more in line of civilizations specialists?
one thing that has me worried is the abundance of stats on units. to me it seems that it will be a bit hard to determine the effect each one has, if there are so many. Maybe that is more of interface problem, but i would like to see the primary stats of a unit (the ones that can be increased with level ups) to be distinct from derivative stats. For example strength and attack (i assume attack is the 'damage' stat and depended on weapon and strength) should be in a separa
the art looks much better than in WoM, but i found an issue while glossing over the screenshots: in the two last screenshots, especially the last, you can see that the ray from the mana node is overdrawn from anything that has an alpha value smaller than 1, for example in the last screenshot the wall of fire "overwrites" (for lack of a better word) the ray of the mana node and in the second last screenshot some trees "override" the ray from the mana node.
watching the video i am still a bit baffled seeing the high bloom on the barren terrain. this look really bad imho, why is the terrain blinding me? he is pointing at it at 0:37 seconds, if you don't know what i mean.
