reminds me of the chaos magic in the baldurs gate II addon: where every spell casr had a chance of something random happening like a cow dropping from the skies or spawning a sqirrel, change the sex of the char ect.
The negative effects of women using their right not to have babies are quite doccumented and one of the effect is the aging of the population pyramid and the need of immigrants to counter its effects with their numbers and reproduction habits
An other option would be capturing the women of the enemy (and killing the men), you old testament stuff [e digicons]}:)[/e]
@Campaiger that is so wrong on so many levels. It´s not about modesty it´s about the stupidity of having half naked female warriors. I have nothing against nudity, but not in a combat enviroment. The next time i see the typical naked breast plate armor with high heels i am going on a rage [e digicons]#:([/e] .
you don´t take your water out of the river but from wells near the river. ihmo enviroment pollution is not a big factor in an medieval setting, but i can lead to drastic deseases in cities.
what you have to consider is that adding those complex elements do not have to translate into tedious micromanagement and endless charts ect. Also fun for some people is not fun for others i for one would like a more complex game (if the mechanisms/ui are done well). As for the women populations you could really make some nice events like a last ditch militia when the enemy forces are to extinct your people then all take up arms ect. (with a short vid for example).
to be honest i would like to make this kind of trades: do i train/recruit female units thus weakening my economy and population growth but have a larger army or i train only expandable man have lower unit (-pool) count but my supply of soldiers/citizens would be secure. similiar things could be done to training: elite troops take longe and cost more but a loss of a lot cheap militias would cripple your economy/population growth. On porternielsens point:
Having played AoW 2 shadow magic (among others) i too like the rpg aspekt, in an RPG/4X-Stratgame blend, a lot more. I wonder however how heroes will be implemented, will they be just better combat units (like AoW) or more like in Heroes 3 (besides from spells do not go in combat directly but boosting army stats)? The worst version was done in heroes 4 i really don´t like to see this system come back. How about this: heroes are combat units and their stats are mainly rai
@Island Dog could you comment on my question asked in https://forums.elementalgame.com/366104 ? When i switch from a programm to the desktop (i.e. minimize my browser) and go over one fence which has a scrollbar i cant use my mouse wheel to scroll i have to click on the fence first. When i am on the desktop it is just enough to go with my mouse over the fence and the mousewheel will work, althoug
there was a rts with similiar ideas (based on DnD) where you control heroes and armies buildings ect. on the map but you still had to dungeon crawl with your heroes, it was quite a nice idea. i have to disagree on point 2, i really don´t like this kind of leveling system (i played too much morrowind/oblivion)
-i would not buy empire instead wait for napoleon total war (or buy mediveal2 total war for extremly good mods, like the third age total war mod) -you should try the demo of demigod first, and only buy it if you are into multiplayer games (the single player is next to nonexistant)
there are mods for oblivion which changes the leveling system to an exp based one (like in dnd, wow or diablo ect.): http://planetelderscrolls.gamespy.com/View.php?id=4425&view=OblivionMods.Detail
i tried it and it is really great however i have a minor issue: When i switch from a programm to the desktop (i.e. minimize my browser) and go over one fence which has a scrollbar i cant use my mouse wheel to scroll i have to click on the fence first. When i am on the desktop it is just enough to go with my mouse over the fence and the mousewheel will work, although i did not klick on the fence first. Imho this should also apply after minimizing a application. </
Oblivion with mods is really good (get FCOM convergance). The one thing i can´t stand in oblivion is the combat system (the recoil from blocks) and the stupid minigame when you try to open a lock. edit: company of heroes is indeed a great game (better then dowII imho), but it doesnt suit everybody so try the demo first.
let me guess you want a Kwisatz Haderach ?
i can´t wait to make my armor out of frogskin (from frog children of course) [e digicons]}:)[/e] you also need to include evil gun wielding penguins
already have, but you can never have enough :)
I will not get the beta 1 (maybe join in later stages), so ask all beta players to post screens of their games.
Is it possible to join the beta on later stages (like demigod)?
good idea: ignoring wrong placed forum posts
it works again?
