What are these rounded white lines on the ground? See here .

I checked the CoreArmor.xml and CoreWeapon.xml files. All GameModifier elements wich are related to weapon or defense type have no Value element.
The manual is out of sync in relation with the game. However the in-game Elementopedia mentions weapon and armor types, too. I think this feature has been removed or disabled at this moment. Maybe the AI can't handle it well or there are some other problems with this feature.
I tried it again, the game crashed when I entered tactical battle map editor. The debug.err and dmp file available here: http://www.box.net/shared/vlzs5lq5gu
I'm undecided yet. I want to know the game better, yesterday I started the campaign. Otherwise the game itself seems to be interesting, but not so challenging yet (in the beginning of the campaign). I'm missing the full random maps, and I don't understand some game concepts well. For example: are the resource handling simplified to using global stocks like in standard games? And how about the the different attack types (cutting, piercing etc.) and the appropriate defends? Like i
No, it works, I was wrong. And I checked, the game fills the map with forests, flora and objects randomly. Nice. However it would be better to get random landmasses, too.
I tested it with a specific map I had made before directly for decide whether this method works. No success, I got a random map. But if you were right. What do mean settings by a loaded custom map, I mean: size and difficulty? And will the game fill it with random stuffs?
Does anybody know how to play on a custom map?
We finally found and killed a battle engine related crash that we think was the cause of virtually all end of turn related crashes.
Can it be this fix a resolution of the map editor crashes, too?
The rivers never generated properly in the earlier betas and they removed then. I'm sure they'll be put back in once they get it worked out (If they're interested in that)
Okay, but why didn't they make some seed maps with rivers? I mean they fix the rivers on the map as the mountains, forests are all predefined etc.
It may be a noob question. How can I choose a specific map instead of generated ones? There is a "Load" button next to the name of the world, but nothing will change on the screen after selecting a map (Sample map for instance) in the popup list.
The AI will build harbors and boats but it is not, IMO, very good at it yet. This is something that will take quite a bit of time for it to master because I'm requiring the AI not to cheat so it has to first build the transport, load the transport, send the transport and find a beach to land on (it's not like Civ where you can just build a boat on any water adjacent tile nor is it like HOMM where units just turn into boats and walk across the
The tactical battle map editor crashes the game when the "Blank map" checkbox is not checked brefore generating a new map. Otherwise it seems to be buggy, too, the empty map is unmanageable. Edit: I often get a crash in strategy map editor, too. It is randomly and I get it by generating or loading a map into editor. I get it more often when I navigate to main menu from editor and then back to the editor and generating a new map. However the tactical battle edito
There are only one-continent maps available for playing, I guess because of some defects in handling other types of maps (maybe the AI is uncapable yet of it or some other stuffs are missing).
I noticed that there are only one tactical battle map for each terrain type (I mean one for forrest-grassland and one for hills-grassland, too, and so on). I had 3-4 battles one after the other on the same map, although on very different tiles.
And what's about the lot of work you have put in AI since build of gold version?
Frogboy wrote: "If I wanted to get creamed, I’d just push up the difficulty but I want the AI to be very intelligent at normal." Yes, it is important. I don't like the difficulty levels which give AI a start. I'm wondering whether the Elemental's AI will be as intelligent as what GalCiv II could show. It shouldn't do matter, but I noticed that the detailed options of AI habits from the latter one are missing in Elemental.<
Thanks. It's a bit strange for me: the game provides randomly generated world maps while using pre-made battlefields. However I'm far from beeing competent enough in this topic.
Hi, Are the battlefields randomly generated or pre-made in the game? There was a long discussion about this but I haven't found the result of it. Thanks in advance, trigorin
I would like to know, what is the result of discussion, which method of battle map generation has been choosen in the game: random or premade maps?
1. yep, all passive effects, and some ablities are around even if the labs are gone, but ships, superweapons, deploy starbases, and a few others go away without the labs.
Is it true? As I know all researched advances will be lost if you don't have enough research stations.

The "AI relationship bonus" factor on diplomacy tooltips remains always zero since this patch. I played some 6-7 hours long matches and it never changed. Is it intended?
2. Has "AI relationship bonus" factor gone? I find that it is now always 0. Aye, never seen this row with a nonzero number (mind, I started playing Diplomacy only recently, with the latest patch).
I always get 0 value at this parameter since 1.011 patch. Now it seems to be too easy winning a diplomatic victory even against hard AIs, too.

Turning off user interface elements couldn't help me. I was one of the unlucky players who got the issue when the more texts appeared on screen the more dropped down the frame rate. I had a long conversation with support about it, and we realized that including the new DirectX into the latest patch could res
