You cannot summon an Iron Golem in battle. You get the message "you must target one of your own units." However, it doesn't matter which square you target, unit occupied or empty, you can't cast your spell. One more minor bug: Arctic Cloak now goes in the chest slot. To be consistent with Dragon Cloak, it should be an accessory.

There is an option called auto-resolve flawless battles that really speeds the game up, especially later in the game when you have your stack of doom army. Check it out!
First, let me say I am really enjoying this game! I appreciate the latest version. That being said, there are some things I think I'm missing. Perhaps someone will either enlighten me or confirm my impressions. 1. Unlike FE/Legendary Heroes, some stats seem to be hidden, such as spell mastery and specific resistances. Is this information somewhere I'm not looking? 2. When you have two or more armies on the same square, is there a way to move units back and fort
1. In the final battle, my mage champion cast (3-turn) invulnerability. The SK promptly killed him on his turn with one of those deadly ranged round bubble thingies. (Or does the SK's spell trump invulnerability?) 2. When crafting an item, it sometimes deselects the item you're upgrading and replaces it with another item. Thus, some crafting supplies can get wasted if you're not paying attention because you can put the upgrade on the wrong item. (It puts the first upgrade
We'll have to agree to disagree. This ability allowed me to roll through my enemies in my last game.
I never really got into this game, despite spending hundreds of hours on Fallen Enchantress/Legendary Heroes. However, I gave it another try after this update, and now I'm hooked. This is the first game in a long time that has me playing "one more turn" for hours at a time. Thank you Stardock for continuing your support of this wonderful game.
[quote who="Cruithni" reply="37" id="3623453"] 20) Make the Ranger's ability that lets him and other archers in the same army as him fire at the start of the battle actually useful by letting you choose the targets and use abilities. Currently it's a liability as you can't choose targets or use special abilities and it sets them way down the initiative chain after it's used - so actually worse having it than not having it in some ways at the moment. I just came back for a game of Legendary Heroes after a long break. (I've recently been obsessed with World of Warships.) Since I last played, I picked up the tactical map pack while it was on sale. There were quite a few changes made to tactical battles since I last played and probably for the best. For example, I see crushing blow is no longer overpowered. However, one new tactical map in particular caused me to rage quit my game. I had what should have been a tough, int
When it starts getting tedious (or even before), it's time to dust off Legendary Heroes for variety.
I have always hated charm spells in other games. I realize that is likely a minority opinion, but it would be enough to sway me from purchasing a spell pack if they are part of it.
I disabled the dead DLC on my computer because the AI plays it so poorly.
What Steven said it was I was trying to get at with my last post. However, here is an even better solution: Run simultaneous movement in two phases. First, all the AI players move. If one of their armies moves onto a monster, combat is initiated; the monster cannot move. Then, monsters all move together. This eliminates AI players and monsters chasing each other.
Frogboy, I appreciate the explanation. Wouldn't this be a partial solution: If a hungry monster accidentally "stumbles across" potential dinner, he goes ahead and tries to eat?
I've started playing LH recently after a fairly long absence. I'm really enjoying it (again), and I appreciate the game is still being being updated. Unfortunately, I saw something I never saw before. A pair of monster Ophidians moved right on top an AI's pioneer unit. It's bad enough monsters never seem to attack the AI but to move on top of an AI unit without attacking? Oh well. I'm still enjoying the game nevertheless!
Was it bad karma? I said bad starts were rare, and then in the second game since I started playing again gave me a start with no place to expand! So, yes, you can sometimes get bad starts. Didn't I read in the Sorcerer King thread that they were going to address that?
I own four: map, loot, quest, and dead. I actually disabled the dead. It offers a unique and interesting faction to play; however, the computer does such a poor job playing them that it almost forces you to manually select your opponents. If you're just starting out, you might wait before getting any DLCs. The best part of the loot and quest packs is variety. However, since the game is fresh for you, I'm not sure you would appreciate that variety until you have a few games und
I've had rare games where the start was so bad I started over. Rare . It's the (small) price you pay for having random maps. It also makes the game interesting because you don't know what to expect. However, if you're convinced your going to get one bad setup after another, guess what? You'll find many perfectly good starting positions to be unacceptable. And thus, another self-fulfilling prophecy gets fulfilled!
Frogboy has some really nice ideas for new spells. That being said, I'm glad they will be added in a DLC. This will hopefully satisfy those who think "more spells is more fun," and not sully the game for people like me who hate spells like Dazzle or Brainwash.
Either the OP and I are playing different games, or at least some of the "issues" are actually PEBCAK errors!
So, to translate for one dense non-modder... Is Blessed Hammer (still) useless in base game? If so, why? If I need to download PM's file, do I need to turn on mods? If this is a known old error, why hasn't this been fixed (if it hasn't) in the base game?
One thing that I really don't like is the inability to edit a custom sovereign/race (at least not easily). One of my favorite parts of any game that offers custom races is to tweak them to game to game.
Thank you for the replies, everyone. I guess I was on the right track since I'm saving crystal for mages. Fortunately, there was a crystal crag in range, although I had to build an outpost to access it. Unfortunately, the heroes I have aren't much help. I usually don't hit the magic tech tree this early, but I was forced to this game. It's interesting to be forced to do things differently.
Okay, what I am really looking for is how to efficiently dispatch Banshees early in the game. In my present game, I have three Banshees guarding all three expansion sites. It has brought my game to a crawl. I have killed my share of Banshees, but what is the most efficient way?
1. How AI units are rarely (never?) attacked by monsters. 2. How your militia only show up for the first battle. 3. No multi-player. I'd love to see simultaneous-move co-op available in some future version. I got hundreds of hours of enjoyable game play. However, if I could play this game with my friend (and without waiting for my turn), it would be absolutely amazing. 4. Moving units could be improved: a. Weird, unexpected pathing.</
I am going to share what I find most fun about another 4X, albeit not fantasy based, game. The game is Endless Space. What I find most fun about it is co-op multiplayer with my friend. Turns are done simultaneously, but it is still a turn-based game. I would love to see multi-player with simultaneous turns in LH 2.0. That being said, I hope the game will give us a way to play multiplayer not using Steam's servers because their servers are the most unreliable on the planet. They go
