I thought challenging was always supposed to be the best ai without any cheats, isn't that even what it says in the in-game description? Might as well just keep that as the default "best ai" option.

Yes I found this bug the first time I played altair back in 0.982 and it's extremely frustrating
I'm very happy with my time with the game so far. Frustrations generally occur from bugs and balance errors, not the game's fundamentals. I also can't wait to try out the campaign!
Yeah I think there should be a shortcut to declare war without even having to talk to the sovereign first. I think almost every other 4x I've played gives you an option to declare war just by moving your troops onto their city or with a keyboard command like alt-clicking their name. I've had this happen to me before too and it's really annoying.
I wonder what other quest characters/titans/sovereigns etc. will be included. Gah guess I'll just have to use my imagination until we actually get to play it.
In my last game as the Altair, the final enemy surrendered to me so I had no control over when I actually finished the game, and I still wanted to complete a few quests I had never tackled before. In retrospect this should be kind of obvious since there was the book picture by it, but I honestly thought continue the adventure would continue my game(similar to the one...more...turn... thing in Civ IV). Would it be possible to add the one...more..turn.. option to this game? I could defi
I will randomly have this issue happen to me quite often, most often at the beginning of a turn. I have to auto-turn for my first guy up and then usually people after him will have the action bar reappear
Hi everyone, so now that we're approaching release, has any information on the campaign been revealed? Is this subject taboo on the beta forums? I'm personally quite curious about it. How long will it be? Is it linear, or will it have a similar style to Fall from Heaven 2? Does it feature every race/sovereign or do you take command of just one? If the details have already been shared and I just completely missed them, then I apologize. It's just that I have
These bugs all occurred as altair, with medium map, challenging world, and challenging opponents -In tactical combat, when you move a champion from melee range who has items but no spells, the turn automatically ends before you can use any items. -If you pass 'through' a goodie hut on the campaign map, your team won't pick it up. It would be nice if you picked up any huts on your movement path. -is bottled fire effected by shards/champion skill level? as it
I'm still playing around with the new build, but I have this really bad slowdown that seems to only occur after I load my game. This is like 100% guaranteed to happen if I save before a hard fight and load 3-4 times before I get it. Not only that, the slowdown remains until I quit the game. There is no way to simply reload. It's also pretty severe, as though things are moving in slow motion. I don't believe I got it before this update. Also note this is different from the
Here are the list of bugs, all from one playthrough on medium map with Tarth and challenging world/opponents. 1. Champions recruited under lvl 4 with a 'Path of Warrior/Mage' etc. get another at lvl 4. The champion specifically was Haiton from the summoning staff quest. I got him at like lvl 2-3 with path of the mage and then I gave him path of the governor at level 4. 2.If you capture/found a new city that causes an outpost resource being constructed to change to the
When I updated to 0.981 the problem went away! Game looks beautiful now.
I voted excellent. If you're able to iron out the bugs, really put some effort into the UI, and adapt the AI to handling the final version of the game it's going to be amazing.
I like the idea of being able to choose 'Road Building' as a trait if you're going magic or war, since it takes quite a well to get to economics tech in civ, and therefore I suggest keeping it in (even making it more frequent), but right now it is poorly designed. You can't path like in Civ, so you have to choose the road on every tile and it's a huge waste of time. I propose adding the 'Pathfinder' trait(hope it's not a trait already!). 'Pathfinder
I have this problem in 0.098. I actually didn't know there were forests/swamps in this game the first time I played (just bought it). I'll download the new version today and see if I still experience the problem.
I recruited the level 9 champion Hyru Loremaster with Kraxis as my sovereign. His only redeeming quality is a 'summon demon' spell, and a nice staff, but the summon demon spell doesn't work. The trait is there, but I can't cast the spell on the strategic or tactical map.
The tactical map for the Abeix titan fight is angled weirdly. It's hard to explain but the tile I have my mouse on is not the tile the game selects. Also, this may be because I slowed and blinded him, but Abeix did 0.0 damage during the fight. I've only taken on one other titan (the fire golem one), but at least he was somewhat challenging. The map and the fight itself both seem broken.
During the Ghost Helm quest, when you return to the gravesite and fight the green dragon, when you defeat him it says you receive gold and a magic item. I may have received gold, but I definitely didn't receive any item, also maybe I didn't get gold (wasn't paying close enough attention).
When you get the quest to save prisoners wildlings have taken captive, if you choose the option to attack wildlings/save the prisoners and win, it says you've received a pioneer unit. I didn't receive any unit (it's possible my army was full at the time, but either way I think it's a bug).
During 'The Killing Jar' quest, when the text for "a twisted demon appears" it still shows the picture of the little butterfly catching boy!
When you move onto the ancient battlefield tile to save the wildlings from the golems (kraxis sov and champions), the reward screen pops up before the tactical battle even begins.
I thought path of the governor lead to some sort of road building ability, but I haven't seen it in the game?
I recruited a hero with path of the governor, road building, additional unrest reduction, and an awesome strategic spell called oppression(oppressive? actually can't remember the name). Needless to say if it was easier to level up governors and give them these types of abilities they would be a much more viable use of
Would it also be possible to allow further customization of troops after they're built? Sometimes I level up a soldier to a pretty high level but then I feel it's really annoying that I can't later choose to give him a horse.
I thought it was bad too until I found out what it led to and found a demon blade for my sovereign. Then with haste I became a whirling tornado of death and destruction! I agree with the above posters about showing where traits lead. It's especially confusing for new players like myself.
Thanks for the welcome guys. @Gaunathor: The reason I think it's a bug is that the metal she sold was valued lower than the metal she bought. In other words she had 50 metal to sell, but I had +300, and she actually let me trade 5 of my metal for like 20 of hers, therefore I was able to take all her horses, crystal, tech, without really selling her anything.
thanks for the feedback, as for the bugs: Fixed t
