I will buy the map pack becaus of this:
We also have boats on these maps that players can take to sail out to areas and explore the seas for hidden islands and treasures. Pre-made maps also let us do crazy things like have a map where it’s all Wild Lands all the time with everyone trying to survive and ultimately conquer them.
...and would buy more DLC with something near it.

Yes Yes does not add to my purchase decision
Congratulations Tydorius!! Looking forward to playing "Demon Lord"! [e digicons][/e]
I think an emergency off switch for the internet will be the new kind of panic button for the governments. It shouldn't exist!!! It's a confession of failure for the governement in my eyes. A government should always try to get in contact with people. Even if there is harsh criticism and demonstrations. (Totalitarian) governments (will) tend to rely on internet off switches because it's one of the most used communication platforms these days. But if you think of China as
Yay! I'm very happy my quest made it to the top five! Once writing it I got hooked about developing the tiny parts. For me it's one of the major things I like about quests. Imbedded in lore and developing into further steps or tasks - to have a lasting appeal on the game you're playing or the story you're writing with your channeler. It's best described by "long term goal" Derek mentioned it already. These quests are all excellent additions. I hope all of them will be adopted for Elem

Just 2 days ago I found a copy (!) of my old Elite manual (played it on my C64). For a short moment I considered throwing it away but could withstand the attempt effectively [e digicons][/e] I can still recall the moment my father came home from work an handed me this jewel besides playing it countless days.
Don't push it. It's not like Brad is always right and all the people telling him he's wrong are uneducated morons. Some of us have followed enough games to have a good intuition about what works and what doesn't, and it turns out that in July-August 2010, the uneducated morons were right and Brad was wrong about the state of the game. I don't mean any offense to Mr. Wardell when saying this this, I'm trying to defend a community full o
Stardock aims for a different audience compared with other studios, and Brad has a clear idea on what kinds of projects he wants to make. Yesterday I saw a post at joeuser saying something about "first day of sabbatical" but I assume that doesn't mean we don't get any journals about the AI, right? [e digicons]:frogboy:[/e]
No. I was not referring to Elemental. I know that Elemental does not use zoc for armies. But the first addon will focus on tactical combat. Have to search for the link... I think Frogboy mentioned it somewhere. Gazz, y ou're right it's important stuff escpecially because it's all about creating yours and bashing other armies. I saw your thread of suggestions but couldn't accomplish reading all of it. EDIT: Just read some of your thread from Sep
The quest system in elemental is a powerful entity but nonetheless at this point one of the "additional" features. Like econundrum1 put it, it's a post 1.1 demand if we don't want 1.1 beta to be delayed that much. I played the quests mainly for better equipment or to have a somewhat better start in the beginning. But the emphasis of my play builds around the main features. Building the cities, building armies, controlling the land, researching technologies for bett
I don't see why
Simply because a quotation should be verified by a good reference to make it meaningful. Anyway I think this whole discussion wether it's named zone of control or zone of influence is obsolete, because SD knows what they're talking about refering to Elemental and we all know what the zone of influence of a city is about in the game. And yes, armies have a zone of control, I heard of that too...
But even with circles and distances you would in turn have to deal with a zone of control or zone of influence. How would you deal with collision of armies or collision of "interests" diplomacy-wise?
The level cap in Diablo 1 was 50. Did they build that with the intention of making 5 expansions?
Sorry - but w e're talking about Activision Blizzard and NOT a company formerly known as Blizzard North. Aside from that Jay Wilson likes DLC (mentioned it in an interview) and he is the game director. So we all can be curious about what hides behind a level 60 cap. [e digicons];)[/e]
I'm looking forward to Blizzcon. Perhaps any good news will lessen my worries. But my concern is that D3 will be way too "wow-esque". When I read about "salvaging" and found out there was "essence" and other raw materials shown in a video about the artisans feature I was tremendously pissed off. I can't think of it being fun and presenting another aspect than collecting new gear or tossing the magic cube. I think the main reason that so
