Well ... just found him [e digicons]:|[/e] Because now I could search for the name.

Thx for reply Heavenfall!! Elemental Lord , that's it! Couldn't figure out the unit name anymore. But I can't find him in the editor though... Those infos are very useful when creating tiles especially for own campaigns...
Hi everyone, does anybody know if this demon unit has been changed to another model. I can't find it in the actual version of Elemental but I'm pretty sure I saw it in one of the older versions. Tried Ice Lord and Fire Demon so far but those are different kind of models?
"Civ V and Elemental share that addictive "just one more turn" quality that I have always loved in turn based games. Speaking of that, I am off for one more turn." "...think I'll be playing these two games for years down the road..." Both my thoughts too.! I like history and fantasy topics so these to games serve very well. Wouldn't mix the art styles e.g. they're both wonderfully unique but I like army promotions (what are they called in CiV?) would be
Does anyone know more about what the fan-made patch does for SM and whether it's compatible with the Impulse version?
Would be quite interesting indeed. I bought the first part of the series yesterday (couldn't find the other parts on impulse yet). I would buy AOW:SM too and I don't think a fan-based patch will be applied for purchase.
Why did you post this embarrassing piece of game journalism? I like GameStar, but their review of Elemental is despicable and ignorant of a lot of issues the game has at the moment. There are even some claims in the final verdict that are downright false.
Phazon I read a lot of strategy game reviews by Martin Deppe and I know that he's a strategy fan by heart. I think that most of you are right, that some of the points
Rating ist 79 / 100 ( I couldn't figure out which version was reviewed!!!) ... in their conlusion they state that they do love and hate it equally [e digicons][/e] only in short, cause I've got not much time today: graphics: 8/10 sound 4/10 balance: 8/10 atmosphere: 6/10 UI: 6/10</strong
This is a sad day, for sure! I hate to read all of this cause in my working life I once was layed off myself so I feel for all those employees that are unemployed now. Talkin' about Elemental. I LOVE this game - love the lore (reading the book at the moment) and I will continue to play every new refinement of it! I wish that I only had more time to participate in posting suggestions and ideas for the game or more money to buy a second copy to support your fine folk at Stardock!</
...same here in Germany. But I'm sure it will arrive until Friday.
So what's the timeline of the story between the game's campaign mode, the book and the bonus campaign for the book buyers that will be released later? Game -> book -> bonus or book -> game -> bonus or something else?
If I recall this correctly I think Brad talked about it in this podcast at FragWorld and it's the Campaign first, then the Book and Bonus will reflect the Book ingame. <a href="https://fo
Dear Frogboy + Stardock-Team - thank you a thousand times for making this game and putting all your effort in it!!!! I played the pre-release version not even close to 100 turns and was hooked immediately! [e digicons]:smitten:[/e] Can't wait to play the day-0 release and so much more to turn up after release!
I now would like to suggest to rename this forum into the " STARDOCKIAN FROG COLLECTIVE " ...and declare this bazar opened! [e digicons][/e] Game play example = [e digicons]5*[/e]
This afternoon I’m putting in the new diplomacy techs that let you begin recruiting friendly third parties into your armies (various special creatures). So that's exactly the kind of stuff that let's my heart beat faster! thx for the news Frogboy!
@ Killzemallgod 1) It's not what you say, but how you say it! 2) Please, don't compare apples with oranges - "beta wise". Blizz and Stardock are totally different companies with totally different beta concepts. Boy, the whole corporate strategie differs... 3) Frogboy repeatedly gave the advice not to join the beta if not capable of a fair portion of distress. To lazy to sum it up with links. Go search for yourself if u like... at the beta forums 4) You are free
I think, this was mentioned before but goodie huts - to conquer the "boringness" could provide encounters with various enemies (like e.g. in the old Warlords series). Encounters could scale in difficulty. Fewer huts is a good idea. Early xp and gold for founding your first kingdom...
One thing that stops me from buying is the lack of a decent field of view / strategic zoom. Still playing on a 19" CRT and I'm not planning to buy a screen with 16:9 ratio for SC2. Every other RTS title in history showed up with a strategic zoom (DoW series, C&C, Supreme Commander, ...) I do understand that it might be somehow a gameplay descision for MP
From a "german" perspective I just did a quick search one of the main Civilization community forums in Germany (civforum.de) and found a story* beeing played by a guy who is participating in Elemental beta. *(You play the game and write about your progress, how the story of your game unfolds, ....) <span style
MadInventor, I did not want to dismiss your worries, I share them partially! For me it's my first beta. It's exciting to follow the state of the beta but it's going pretty fast, so it's only natural that these worries occur as you. We'll see how things work out.
Gorstagg, great gameplay videos, I watched a few so far. As for now I can't play the beta cause I'm on vacation. I can use the internet, but it's no machine for playing computer games. So the new footage comes in just in time. So I appreciate your work a lot. Hope you keep it up till release [e digicons][/e]
I don't know how much of this is new and how much is already planned for the game (since I can only see whats in beta), but I would like to see more items you can equip characters with that aren't necessarily combat related. So a character might equip wands and wizardly robes that give magic related benefits, formal clothes and badges of office that help with diplomacy and recruiting heroes and so on.
I suppose much of that are "Beta wor
Today is the end of an era, for me at least. Blizzard did the unthinkable and merged with Activision, and yet I held true to my favourite developer: the makers of Diablo II and Starcraft earned the benefit of the doubt through their sheer dedication to gaming. Today, I saw the greatest fall; Activision have done what no one else could: they brought down Blizzard. Diablo III, Starcraft II and all future Blizzard products
I don't know, if it's still only Blizzard coming up with those "strategic decisions" or if there's something more "political" going on pointing towards the liaison with Activision. Anyways, beware the raging fanbase, Blizz! Me included...[e digicons]
Personally, I like the first option, where the units get bigger as you zoom in and smaller as you zoom out. Keeping them the same size as you zoom in just makes me feel like the units are shrinking.
copy this! [e digicons][/e]
