I'm pretty darn sure that isn't the whole entire campaign...right?! Maybe just a bug, but how do we continue into the next part of the campaign?
zampolit
Wow, was expecting criticism of good and bad...but did the Stardock CEO really say that? Is he still the CEO?!
If everyone who was going to buy Civ V bought Elemental first, I think we'd be quite happy with that.
Guilty as charged. :)
Quoting zampolit, reply 18 Actually just use the master of magic platform and make it multiplayer! Don't even change the mechanics! Just a graphics overhaul...BOOM massive great game with a huge customer base. Don't put any "programmer expression" into it. Make the cities, units, and spells work EXACTLY the same! Stardock would get sued for Copyright infringement.<b
And I think this is not only a worthy successor of GalCiv, but indeed Master of Magic itself.
Good post up to there, as this is no way a MoM successor/clone/remake etc. Its something different, which isn't bad, but it is different. The world still awaits a MoM2 and or just an overhaul(+multiplayer). T
People often have memories of games they played in the past that don't fit reality. I loved Master of Magic but the game was worthless out of the box.
I disagree, it was great out of the box. Its problems were due to DirectX and PnP were only ambitions at that time. So the hardward-to-dos-to-bios-to-dos-to-game was much more difficult back then! Don't trash talk my MoM!
Here is a thought, can stardock make Elemental 2 off of the Civ5 platform? Then we would really have a Master of Magic successor! (That's what I thought this game was going to be...) Gawd, now that would be a game to get excited over!!! Plus using a proven platorm. Actually just use the master of magic platform and make it multiplayer! Don't even change the mechanics! Just a graphics overhaul...BOOM massive great game with a huge customer base. Don't put
Agree, go digital! Having the "backup" always available to reinstall is great. This is why digitial distribution is taking off. There are still some rough edges to be worked out, but its done well.
Since the devs have stated in forums that certain advertised features have been moved from the game to the "Mod community", lets start collecting the list so that it can be compiled and this game completed as advertised by the players. It looks like its up to us! Post replies and I will edit this post to include the total list. A team can then be assembled to work the items and release the patch to the public. -True Random Map Generation -Nation/Race Generati
Thanks, just got my 100%!
Ok...so compare the map generator/editor of Sins of a Solar Empire(instead of Civ4) vs. Elemental....doh!
There is already a group that does this. Join them, no need to split the effort. Recreating the wheel or adding another-nother group doing this just waters down the entire movement. Make the GOOD one in existance stronger.
Just to remind you that we have built in the ability for other users to create their own maps and share them with others directly from the game, so if you get bored with the included ones then there should be a healthy supply of alternatives.
I don't want to have to rely on PLAYER PATCHES, I PURCHASED(actually PRE-PURCHASED) this game to fund my DEVELOPER to build a game as expected. (ok, expectations are
Don't be upset if your definition of random and my definition don't match. And error on your part doesn't mean I'm incorrect. :) However, that is completely disappointing. Too bad we didn't get the Sins of a Solar Empire team...now those people knew how to make some random maps! Just wished stardock people talked, or at least shared consistancy in game development/approach on games with maps. Especially with something so obvious a need and something that has be
Congrats on the top score! Or, maybe I'm confused since the video was broken up in 6 parts and it should only be "200" and it just got duplicated points(may have been accident to give so many points for the same thing)...like the gamestop/ebgames deal). That actually makes more sense, otherwise everyone and their brother is just going to start posting to YouTube and purposefully breaking it to 18 segments so they just get more points! LOL I'm going to race home and m
Makes sense, cause its xx amount of food to BUILD a house...not maintain. :)
As said above. :)

I think it would be suffice to say that the podcast MUST have been in syndicate prior to the launch of the Army competition. Otherwise, it will be flooded with nonsense. This way its aligned with the "digg" clarifications as well.
This way all beta stuff is still together, but easier to collect, digest, and research. I do this on my game server so I can differentiate between the "what" and also people can see before they post if the topic is already there... Example: BETA ---- Crashes ---- Graphics ---- Quests / Diplomacy ---- Other
I alt-tab out, notice game still running 50% CPU and 841k memory. But can't do anything else. had to end process
Yup, had same issue.
Agreed, after I noticed that I did the WASD keys to move. Need something other than mouse to navigate imho.
Just had the same thing happen.
Says "effects combat speed" but within the inventory/stats it shows the speed icon, but of 0 value.
