I also have had this happen. the cause appears to be the full suit of armor, as I have had a crash when clicking on the full suit of armor when equiping my sov after purchase harpo
after armor test loaded save game and played for couple of hundred turns and had a stack of doom(combat rating 3128) and able to attack any thing I want to including other sov stacks then another out of memory dumps,err,

ditto, every battle with unit(s) with sov, the units ARE doubled unless they are killed, but if I go into the battle with a familiar & 1 peasant, I see AND fight sov,familiar and peasant, but the report says sov, familiar, peasant,familiar,peasant. I hope this a simple xml issue harpo

I have had this issue in 3b but not previous versions, ie after loading an autosave game background scrolls & music plays for too long (over 10 minutes) had to end task in task manager, have not tried to re-load the save that locked up the loading harpo
I updated my test machines ,and both the nvidia winxp machines stopped at the initial splash screen of the book for over 50 minutes, on my ati win7 boxes I was able to play a large map 5 faction game to am oom crash at turn 245. will test further tomorrow night due to work harpo

today I played all map sizes to try to determine or at least eliminate possible areas that are causing crashes tiny played the longest, but had very poor starting pos played about 380 turns small was better start, but very limited resources played about 300 turns medium ok start, also restricted resources played about 280 turns large good start location , but other factions started a bit near ie within 100 tiles should have been spread out over the entire

kapeman, I also had white screen issues that appeared to be caused by the AA, as when I turned it off I COULD see things in the game. harpo
my i7 system, running elemental from a desktop shortcut to the elemental.exe started testing at aprox 5.30pm aest screen res is set to display res, BUT not full screen, same game as previous oom crash report decided to save game when ram useage was at 1.3gb,clicked on kingdoms button, then options then save typed in name for save, in the open task manager notice that ram useage was increasing quickly, within a few seconds the ram useage hit 1.5 and out of memory errore
went to save game when ram useage was at 1,562,000,crashed at 1,608,924k AND did NOT save suspected location of ram leak MIGHT be in save code again the zip was 0 bytes save games, dmp,err & dxdiags loaded autosave game, played on and again went to save at ram useage 1,425,000k, crash at 1,525,776k <p
started a new game set to full screen on i7 w764bit dual screen system, custom sov, multiple continents played 60 turns received out of memory error (working set 1,625,192k) zip file 0 bytes note when NOT full screen the out of memory errors tend to happen about turn 250+ created rar with dmp,err saves & dxdiags <p
