jakejakejake123, in my opinion it will play, just not very fast, the only unknown in my opinion is the ati 4350, but it should be a lot better than the geforce 7600gs in one of my comps that does not do tactical on beta 4. shunmaha the main item I would worry about compared to sins is the video card, ie in sins my geforce 7600gs plays fine, but in elemental beta 4 the geforce 7600gs does NOT give anything other than fog in tactical battle. harpo

frogboy in another thread said that they had found a MAJOR ram leak with ATI on 64bit and fixed it, but did not get into the betas, so to see if it IS the fix we will have to wait for the gold/day0 versions. harpo

actually I just like to see all the world map which is the ONLY cheat that I use. harpo

my issue with archers is the autoresolve battle usually kills 1 or more of my ultra foot knights (each has an attack of 25, defence of 45) 3units in small army(battle rating ~360) against the army of 7 level 1 bandits 2 of which are archers(battle rating 67), but when I battle it manually I kill all without any losses even with TWO ultra foot knights attacking the bandit squad of 7 units, but this is on beta 4, so hopefully will be better on gold OR day0. harpo

daermoth, it should, but you might want to add ram to the motherboard, the video card is fine, the processor is fine, just the total ram on the omtherboard could stand a bump. harpo

as far as the impulse downloading, installing and verifying a game, on several computers that you own, I have installed sins of a solar empire & expansions on 7 cpu's, three of which have up to FOUR different windows installs on them ALL with the SAME impulse login, 6 of the computers do NOT have email set up on them, but all seven ARE on the same lan going through the SAME modem, and as most of the installs are for testing reasons, and as I am the ONLY person that uses the computers ther

frogboy, I REALLY would like to have elemental BEFORE the 21st here in australia, as the country is going to WASTE an entire day forcing everybody to go in a local POLE and punch it on the 21st, and elemental would be the perfect de-stressor after the pole punching. personally in the pole punching I always try to destroy the pole, but so far I have not succeded. harpo

looks like an incompatability with the 7600gs, which would be a reason to upgrade to either an 8 series or a geforce 220 for both of us, BUT it might only be a beta issue. I will test when I hae a release version. harpo

what is your video card? and do you have the advanced lighting on? I get the same on my low geforce (7600gs) in the beta4's, but on my 8800gt & ati's allwork properly. harpo

starfighter, IT WILL run, but based upon beta4 you might want to use clothmap to improve the speed, but it should play fine with a bit of a pause while the computer is doing the end of turn. I have been testing with an amd x2 6000+ (3ghz dual core) with 4gb ddr2 800 ram and a geforce 8800gt and it was playable, but not as fast as a faster comp. harpo

and VERY BUGGY. you might be able to play ONE turn per OUT OF MEMORY error crash to desktop, then load again then load save game play one turn OOM crash, rinse & repeat harpo

yes, the altered UI looks like it would be a major improvement for playability, but would actually have to test it to confirm the impression harpo

I also want the gold to tide over until the day0 patch is out, even to the point where I ordered AND PAID FOR it through a game/movie chain that said their release was a couple of days earlier as well as having a limited edition on pre-order. harpo

in beta 4 if you hover the mouse OVER the quest marker the window tells you the quest level AND your adventure level, so you can decide wether or not to go to the quest location. although the quests are easiest to see on the clothmap and can be very hard to see in the 3d view. harpo
