stevenaus, it is ANY loss of a battle with hero(s)/sov gets a mana suck per hero/sov of approx 40% mana on defeat of the hero/sov, so a four hero & sov battle with 1000 mana, first death drops it to 600, second drops it to 360, third drops it to 216, fourth down to 129, and the fifth to 77. from this pattern it PAYS to only have a small mana pool(just big enough to fight the battle) if there is a risk of losing units during the battle. harpo
I did not see any instructions for the river mod, and I was using it in my primary development machine which DOES have 4gb, but on xp32 bit, and the rivermod was in the mods folder along with all the other mods from stormworld 1.3 except the disabe vanilla sovs mod which I had deleted. harpo
heavenfall, I had tried a large map with my custom sov against all of the stormworld 1.3 sovs and had two crashes before the start of game. have not attempted to narrow down what might be causing this. harpo

I have had it happen with enemy arrows, throwing knifes, AND spells, but only some times it works, and other times it does the attack from the side harpo
the bandit had better watch out for the special weapon (called a block buster) to kill his desire by busting his front block(of wood), then crushing it's skull. harpo
the bandit needs to be more careful around trees, to prevent creating tree-monsters (mobile trees that are completely camoflaged as they look like other trees, but are mobile and can and WILL attack any other units that get near it) harpo

started a new game with the latest fix download, and during the game on several times after casting ONE spell (when I had enough mana to cast the spell, my mana went negative and de-spelled all the enchantments on my sov with procipinie's headband that is supposed to cause all enchantments to have no maintance cost. harpo
then they would be PAYING you to join you, not as those without the natural leader do ie you PAY them to join you, so more free gildar. harpo
I agree with both of you, as the so-called large maps feel fairly small to me, and the medium feels like everyone is each other's pockets harpo
you can download the latest update/install for you elemental War on magic from https://store.stardock.com/myaccount/products after logging in, and it can also tell you your serial number (assuming you did register it with stardock). harpo

I am missing the pedestrian option on the machines that the UPGRADE was used to update, BUT on the machines that I uninstalled then installed the full .91 I DO have the option for pedestrians. harpo
yes if you are using the FULL install, BUT if you are using the upgrades then NO pedestrian for you.(this is from observations only and has no official connection with any entity at stardock) harpo
seanw3, there is already a wind shield against RANGED attack, but hopefully there will be some love for the sound system related crashes as well. harpo
I had voted good, BUT with a proviso, ie the crashes that happen involving the sound system, ie with all sound off, getting hundreds of turns, but with sound on, only 5 to 50 turns. harpo
and again loaded the game, then loaded the last save with all sounds off, from turn 446, played for three hours before another crash at turn 659. had two quests that would not complete, ie the kill the dragonlord quest & I DID kill the six dragons in the dragon lord questin the second battle, but in the first battle my sov & hero died/returned to nearest town, and the quest that has a locked gate and no other access points added dxdiag & saves to zip (<a hr
