Hmm, not sure what would cause that, and since I don't have 32bit hard for me to help. Do you have UAC turned on? You may need to disable that while you do it. Otherwise you might need to start the command prompt with administrator privilege, even though you are already logged in as admin. Heres a guide on how to open the command prompt with admin rights. <a href="http://www.mydigitallife.info/2007/02/17/how-to-open-elevated-comma

What operating system are you running? You cut/paste your Elemental.exe into the folder with this fix. Then run RunMe.bat. Pick A for the options. It will say "Large Address Aware Enabled" Press a key to continue, and then E to exit. Then cut/paste your Elemental.exe back to your game folder. REMEMBER. This is NOT going to help your game run more smoothly or anything. The ONLY ONLY ONLY ONLY thing it is going to do is help with out

using bcdedit is only half of the fix because Elemental is programmed to only use 2gb of memory. you need to allow the game itself to use the 3072. This also only applies to 32bit operating systems. If you read my post/fix you can find more details. https://forums.elementalgame.com/393090

Since you are running win7 64bit the fix I have made should work excellent for you if you are willing to try it. https://forums.elementalgame.com/393090

[quote who="jscott991" reply="18" id="2770106"]That isn't going to help 64 bit systems, though. 64 bit systems are definitely getting this issue. I have two friends that I talked into buying this game (how foolish I feel now), both using 64 bit systems, and both getting out of memory messages after a few hours of play (at most). I love, by the way, the interactive feel of this support thread. It really feels the devs care about my problem; what with the quick

if task manager reports 2gb of memory usage, you can bet the game is addressing a good bit more than that. Task manager can be misleading because it does not show how much memory a program addresses. The game could address 2gb while only using 1.5gb and crash from out of memory. Or it could be addressing 1.8 and using 1.8 and not crash. Glad it helped!

I just tested v1.07 and i was able to play without any corruption warning, so it looks like this fix can once again be used if you are getting the out of memory issues with Elemental v1.07. As before, I would recommend you first play v1.07 and see if you still get the out of memory crashes, if you needed his fix before, you may not need it anymore, and it CAN cause additional problems. Only use this as a last resort to fixing out of memory crashes.

As the person who let this Out of Memory "fix" out, I must first apologize to Stardock for causing this mess. Its not really checking for pirated copies of the game. The game shipped with multiplayer disabled so the out of memory fix which I made was not an issue. As multiplayer was being prepared they needed to make sure people could not cheat online. If the game didn't check itself out, it would be real easy to cheat online. Do you cry when you are requi

As Nakor from Stardock has said, Elemental patch 1.06 is detecting this "fix" as a corruption in your game. They might change it in patch 1.07 to allow this fix to once again work, until then we will just have to wait. Hopefully the memory issues are worked out soon and this fix isn't even needed. Nakor, appreciate the heads up on the compatibility thing with this.

if you are running 64bit win 7 and did this fix properly you shouldn't get any out of memory crashes. You probably either did the fix wrong or some other serious issue causing problems. Do you have your swap file disabled or something? With 64bit OS and this fix your game has double(4gb) the intended amount of memory available, I really doubt it could ever leak that badly!

no, it wont speed anything up. the game is programmed to only use a max of 2gb, the problem is there are leaks which can cause the game to exceed the 2gb and crash. This just gives it some breathing room so it won't crash. if you are running a 64bit OS you do not need to set the "increaseuserva" stuff in your command line, that only involved 32bit OS. And for 32bit OS 3072 is the max I would ever consider using. 32bit OS are given 4gb of addressable memory space, 2gb for applicatio
