I didn't even play the final beta too much, but it's still a heck-of-alot better...think it could be truly awesome for MP too. Just started my first game and even having fun though I missed the fertile land because I wasn't used to the view...that's not good. But fun times!
SnallTrippin
I recommend killing a white goat at midnight for good luck.
Can someone message me what happened with upgrading pre-orders to CE? I remember the option was supposed to happen but I dont remember it actually happening? EDIT- Ah, it's on the main order page now, sweet.
Speaking of netbooks, will the game support the rather awkward resolution of 1024×600. It seems that a lot of games can't, or perhaps it is just the older games I try installing.
I would also like to know this as my laptop blows and I'd love to be able to play this at work (heh)...hope the leaks will be killed soon too, even after closing the game sometimes it keeps trying to ste

Def want more options for created races!
God this makes me wish Stardock made a deal with Toady and they worked on Dwarf Fortress together for ten years....the possibilities...sigh.
...heh...heh, like we haven't had 20 Tolkien history lessons already (And stuff not really in the books no less)...I think we know this. Anyway it's hard to play the beta when all this awesome stuff is taunting me..
It seems like it's hard to get traits to really carry over unless you make a lot of different slots for areas of the face. Crusader Kings seemed to do foreheads, chins, and noses.
Hopefully it'll work better than the Crusader Kings dynamic. Although still a great old system..because it's done so little in gaming.
While I know I like Elm... "I guarantee there will be posts that will point to this very entry claiming that we agreed to have “fun civ building” but we went back on that because “fun” to that person means mining ore, smelting it, sending it to a shop to be turned into a sword, having the sword shipped somewhere else stored in a warehouse and then equipped." ...would also be fun to me. Heh.
Seriously this does have to be a quest now. Also, mice are evil. But cats are worse. I have one, I know. Do not get a cat.
Strangely enough I was just wondering their would be much use of morale in the game...it could make things much different.
Love the magic change, seems much more logical to me, though the shard things should only be for epic level 8-10 spells imo.
Charisma: Raises tax revenue (Or you can raise taxes higher with less determental effects)- makes it cheaper to convince your race heroes to join you, etc.
Yeah, you have to try it before you don't like it as my momma said. In multi this could be great..of course there needs to be a counter-spell or some such as well.
Nobody like time travel spells, except Raytay? I can't speak for everyone off course, but I don't like them. Imagine you've just cornered the enemies dragon and defaeated it barely. Now, the enemy just casts his undo spell, and you're facing the same dragon with what is left of your army insuring almost certain defeat. What is dead should stay dead I think...
That's the whole point. And wh
Imo- if you can afford to do it, you should be ABLE to do it.
I'm going to start a long conversation about Hitler soon...so let's shut down this thread!
Aryan was a language group and not a racial grouping. (The more you know!)
Best I can do is BEFORE that...ANOTHER Paradox game...heh... http://www.gamersgate.com/DD-ROME/europa-universalis-rome Yeah, I'm not aware of a really GOOD dark ages one.
Try Crusader Kings (Also Paradox) - it has one or two expansions as well. Good stuff, though the largest resolution is tiny. http://www.gamersgate.com/DDB-CKDV/crusader-kings-complete-bundle
Yeah, someone mentioned Dominions, goooood group of games there. I should buy 3 some time. Also, I sai AI Wars has a steeper learning curve cause it's not quite as streamlined and it's sort of weird.\ EDIT - If you do get EU3 make SURE you get ALL of them up to In Nominee or whatever AND once you've played for a while get the Magna Mundi mod. (Spelling could be off).
AI War will be a bit more of a lurning curve than EU3, though not by much. EU3 allows for a lot of different stuff- also AI wars is best in multi imo.
I like the look of it but wish it was a more generic, or original, setting than Arthur, i'll wait for a demo.
